Have you stayed at this host location?
Our home is near Long Island Sound. We are about 1 mile from downtown area (with plenty of restaurant options), the city green, boat harbor and the Metro North train station (about 100 minutes to Grand Central Terminal). Silver Sands State Park is nearby. Our boondocking spot is available for about 6 weeks in the summer. Chris is likely to be your host -- and if you happen to be a musician, you might like to join for an impromptu jam! Water is available but you will need about 50 feet of hose. We have extra garden hose you are welcome to use. Similarly, the 30 amp power will require an extension cord beyond the length that typically comes with the RV.
Quiet time after 10pm to be respectful of nearby neighbors.
Please be careful not to block driveway access for the home behind us.
Please clean up after pets.
Please refrain from parking on grass.
Two lane residential road to access driveway. Be sure to check your maps as you enter the city. There are some low clearance bridges (one is less than 11 feet) near downtown. Our driveway has some slope, but is definitely manageable with with some leveling blocks.
Our driveway is not ideal for a towed vehicle but it can be managed. Depending on the space needed for your slides, there is space available to park beside your rig. The maneuverability in the driveway is limited. We have a shared driveway with the home behind us, and so it is important that their access is not hindered.
Available for about 6 weeks from July to mid-August.
Downtown Milford and Milford Harbor, Milford green, Silver Sands Park, Metro North train line (north to New Haven, south to more CT coastal towns and NYC).
We absolutely had a wonderful stay at The Rocket Pad! Our hosts were very friendly and also very accommodating to us. We would highly recommend this spot and will be back again, I’m sure!
We are so grateful to our generous hosts for their hookups and kindness, and it was great getting to know you a bit better one of the nights! Thank you for everything!
Simply put - this couple took care of my family like we were rockstars! Not only were they available to answer every query they invited us in and were happy to extend our stay.
There spot is just blocks from the ocean and a ferry ride to Long Island.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
We loved staying at Rockett Pad. Our host was so accommodating and kind! The Rockett Pad is located in a beautiful town with cute shops and places to eat just a short walk away. It is also very close to the beach and it was lovely walking down to the shore while we were there. A cute and cuddly cat who is friendly and playful lives at the Rockett Pad so if you are a cat person you will be delighted. I really enjoyed playing with that little guy! We can't thank our host enough for his kind hospitality. Hope to be able to spend time there when we are back in town. Thanks so much!
