Description

We live just outside the City Limits on 4 acres of land open grassy land with nice old trees. From late spring to early fall you can enjoy the fresh scent of Honeysuckle in the breeze. At night you can see so many stars on a nice clear, dark night. You might be lucky enough to see the 8-10 deer that roam through our property in the late evening.

If you need top pick up some little things, we are located just 2 miles from the Dollar General on Hwy 60 and a half mile from a small local friendly gas station / convenience store to fuel up.

You will find we are well located:

20 mls west off Hwy 67 on Hwy 60 West
20 mls east of the town Van Buran and all the rafting/canoeing/tubing on Current River.
25 miles from Poplar Bluff and all the shopping there,
3 hrs from Springfield/Branson Missouri,
1.5 hours west of I-55 on Hwy 60 West.
30 minutes from Clearwater Lake or Lake Wappapello State Park

Sheltering in place for the night

Puppy and I enjoyed a fun stop with interesting folks who are indeed Living Life Randomly, The coronavirus warnings meant our conversations took place at at least a six-foot distance, and Jack (puppy) loved exploring the environs and running in the yard. Nice people, great hosts.

Above and beyond

Again the most nicest people you will ever meet. From accepting our last minute request and allowing us to stay an extra night because of weather to providing us a safe place during 2 tornado warnings they went above and beyond what was necessary. Great conversations with likewise people. We highly recommend and hope our paths cross once again.

PS. Be sure to check out their bus(campers)

Great people very quiet with warm hospitality

Had a really nice night at Doug and cindy’s.
Very quiet location. Surrounded by national Forrest.
We shared a bowl of chili, a bottle of wine and a lot of fun conversation about shared interests and living in Wisconsin.
You must ask them to share their story of Coco the dog.
Really heartwarming.

I have been invited back and will take them up on their generous hospitality

Found a gem in Missouri

Although we were there first boon dockers guests, you would not have guessed it. They made us feel right at home and we have made two really good friends. Only meant to stay one night, but wanted to spend more time with them - this is what Boon dockers Welcome is all about, sharing our experiences and dreams over a glass of wine.
