We live in a Century Home, built in 1900, in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada. We have two driveways, one with a garage, and one without. We can accommodate anything up to... We can offer water and electricity for one night. If staying longer, we would appreciate a small contribution to electricity and water. We can offer shower facilities in our home. Excellent public transportation to take you downtown Ottawa and see the sights. Suggested Local Attractions: Smiths Falls is a town of approximately 9000 people. We are steps away from the Rideau Canal, kayaking, walking/hiking, as well as a charming downtown. Approximately one hour away is Ottawa, the nation's capital so the Parliament Buildings are a given. Lots of green space, bike paths, kayaking/canoeing five minutes away with two waterways that flow through the capital. National art galleries and museums.

Long time tenters, recently Class C rving Details: We are about three years into our rving experience and loving it. We own a 2019 Thor Four Winds . Learning the rv ropes and have stayed close to home, at provincial parks, while we learn and gain our confidence. Home Town: We live in Smiths Falls, Ontario, which is a great town to live in and to explore as a tourist. We are one block from the Rideau Canal which is a historic Unesco site. It's close to Ottawa, the nation's capital, and has much to offer. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Not yet and will update as soon as we go boondocking. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am a life-long camper, almost entirely tents; my husband not so much :) Although he is new to rving, he loves it and is always anxious to get on the road. My parents owned and ran a campsite for 20 years so I am somewhat familiar with all that is involved. I am recently retired as a mental health professional with Dept. National Defence. My husband is a retired property manager for the government. We love to be active and enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking and golfing. I love to cook and share meals with friends and family.

We had an awesome time in Ottawa and it was very easy to use the public transportation. The place we stay, was very quiet, we didn’t expect this in a big city. We had a very nice and interesting chat with the host, and we even talk political issues, which we like very much. Thanks a lot Mia & Clemens

Friendly host, handicapped by a broken toe this weekend. Nice quiet spot in south Ottawa. Minutes from buses to downtown. As noted by the host, this is a condo parking area suited to smaller units - great for my Roadtrek. Hope we meet again.
