Stayed for 3 nights. Really enjoyed evening chats with OldSunshineFan through his screened front porch, and the other guest joined in too. Great location close to freeway that provides access to everything. Took advantage of the available 30AMP and H2O for the small charge; great for hot temps to run A/C. Would definitely recommend OSF and would stay again.
All went very well but we did not get to meet the host. Arrived in the evening and left early morning. Communication was very good and all needs were provided. Thanks again!
Very nice man talked to him sbout his travels and his recently decease dog
The ither dod is 14 snd acts like a puppy
Easy in, easy out. Lots of room. Convenient water and electric. Have lived out in the country the past 21 years, enjoyed the sounds of the city at night. A+ Host!
Bob was laid up from an operation. He was very kind and left us to our own devices. Water and electric was conveniently placed for on the side of the house and in his driveway.
This was a delightful visit with a generous and friendly host! We had a 30 amp and water hookup. Everything was perfect for us the entire stay. We enjoyed good conversation. He provided us with ample information, and directions, while we were there and on our way out.
This is a wonderful, gracious, and kind gentleman who is well loved by his neighbors.
Thank you for making us feel welcome. We hope to meet you again some day:)
The Tallwalkers
OldSunshineFan was the best. He's got a great sense of humor and was very accommodating. There's a very nice diner within walking distance and his location is centrally located. If you're pulling a trailer make sure that you follow the directions and come in the right way.
A perfect spot in the shade of some very old Oak trees. Host generously offered water and electric and as an RV'er himself, had excellent hookups. We kept our distance and despite a minor mishap (of our own making) everything went swimmingly. There was a constant hum from the nearby highway, and that quickly faded from our conciousness. The street is a bit narrow, but our 24' was absolutely fine. Highly recommend for a Tampa visit.
From the moment we met Bob we knew it was a great choice. Our 24 foot RV fit perfectly and hook ups were perfect. Bob made us feel very comfortable and gave us the layout of the neighborhood. “historically significant” with craftsman style homes! We also have a 1917 “craftsman kit home” in Upstate NY! We’re very Thankful to be welcomed at Bob’s place😘 We hope to be back next year.
IS F was a gracious host and such a positive energy force and a delight to talk to. Nice level site includes hook ups and close to many attractions. We will definitely be back.
Nice, easygoing guy and a very accommodating host, and the location makes it easy to get around town. Thanks Oldsunshinefan!
Bob offers his driveway which is flat and fit our 23’ RV perfectly. He provided several ideas of “things to do” in the Tampa area. He is a very nice gentleman, offering water and electricity, if desired. We highly recommend this location.
Our stay with SunshineBob was excellent! He was ready for us when we got there,
and even gave us an information sheet with references to food, grocery & entertainment/sightseeing things close by of interest! Bob and Muffin (his cute little sidekick) are VERY welcoming and friendly. The site is level, quiet and easy to get in and out of for our rig. It was such a pleasure to meet this gentleman and get to know him. We would absolutely stay here again! Thanks again Bob you're both thumbs up for us!!
The host was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed talking with OSF. Close to downtown and attractions. Would definitely go back again.
Old Sunshine Fan is a very accommodating host. He is kind, thoughtful and makes it effortless to stay there. The spot is exactly as described. Easy to get in & out. Location is convenient & safe. We're so glad we stayed. Would definitely book with him again.
Great central location for things to do in the Tampa area. Our host is very flexible and accommodating. We had no problems backing up over the small curb into his side yard where he provided power and water. There is some traffic noise from the freeway nearby but it didn’t keep us awake at night.
We love staying with Bob! He is one kind and generous man. This is our second time visiting as we stayed here last year and it’s just as we remembered... an awesome place to stay when visiting Tampa. Thank you again Bob! We appreciate you more than you know.
Great directions and communication from Host. Flat, level area next to house under large oak with no height restrictions. Had to back over a small street curb but no problem with our truck camper.
Great place to unhook and explore Tampa. Was a few blocks away from a freeway so some road noise.
OldSunshineFan was super accommodating and provided a great spot for us to spend time in Tampa! Convenient location to downtown and the surrounding areas. Thanks again for having us!
Great place to stop. We definitely appreciate OSF. 😁 Keep rocking on
The OldSunshineFan was generous friendly and flexible! We enjoyed our stay while exploring Tampa.
We felt safe and secure tucked away in this spot. Plenty of space and OldSunshineFan was helpful in any way he could be. We would come stay here again.
Super spot for a few days in Tampa. Close to everything. Really enjoyed talking with the SUNSHINEFAN. Very good 30 amp and water in two different locations. Nice SAFE area.
Hope we can stay again sometime soon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS FOR BEING A BOONDOCKERS HOST
Thanks for your flexibility and hospitality. We enjoyed our short stay at your place.
Super friendly and really easy going, I'd highly recommend staying with Bob.
Our first in town Boondockers Welcome visit.
Our host was friendly and informative and offers a very nice set up..
There are some good eateries nearby. We especially recommend Hampton Pizza.
It’s a quick walk over the river to a park and 10 minute drive to a terrific dog park.
The host was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed visiting with him.
The site was beautiful, shaded by 2 very old, large oak trees.
Great location.
This was our second time stay at OSFs place! We ended up arriving a day later and staying a day later but we stayed in good communication with OSF and he was very accommodating to our schedule change (due to weather). Great spot to stay if you are visiting Tampa!
OSF was a kind host and very accommodating! Make sure to follow his directions on how to get into the parking spot since we tried a more jack knife approach to backing in and ended up cracking our back window of our tow vehicle (still newbies at this). We had a lot of fun at Busch Gardens very close by. I went for a few runs and the area seemed fairly safe- no problems there :) Thanks again OSF! We hope to visit again soon
Old Sunshine is very kind and generous, knowledgeable about the area and made lots of suggestions. His coaching to get me parked was excellent. Just follow his directions! He offers 30A and water. I recommend looking at Google maps and approach his house heading WEST.
There was room for our motorhome ,car trailer with room to park the car behind.
Old sunshine fan included excellent directions as well as had a neighbor help us as well as inform on history of the neighborhood. A perfect stay and would enjoy a return visit.

Safe, comfortable stay in Tampa. Host could not of been more hospitable! Beautiful spot under big old oak trees!
We stayed here 2 nights, very easy in and out on side yard. Level parking. Even though we did not have a chance to meet OldSunshineFan, he was very accommodating and quick to communicate.
This was a great experience Boondocking in the city on the side of a house under two beautiful big oaks. The host is a very nice gracious easy-going guy that makes you feel welcome. Would love to stay again.
Nice, quiet neighborhood with a wonderful host! Spent some good times singing for him on the front porch and had some great conversations. He greeted me with a list of local attractions and other information. I hope to return and stay in Tampa again! I felt safe and secure.
Thanks B for the conversation, the company and helpful info sheet. We appreciate you!
Nice spot with easy in and out! 30 amp is fantastic for when the weather is hot. Close to highway and local attractions. Super friendly host.
OldSunshineFan was a wonderful host indeed. He was very quick to respond, wonderfully kind in his communication, and extremely generous to make his property available.
This was our first experience with Boondockers Welcome, and it was incredibly welcoming for sure.
We didn't actually get a chance to meet OSF, but we hope to on future visits to Tampa.
Thank you so much OSF!
We loved this spot for several reasons... the host was very nice and visited on the porch a bit. The location is in the city and close to everything you could want, including awesome food options. And the site was shaded with the most beautiful trees!
Will definitely visit again if in the area!
Easy access and a safe location. Our host was friendly and we had a few great conversations. The offer of power and water was much appreciated and we would stay there again without hesitation.
The host is very gracious and loves to share stories. The stay was delightful. 10 min north of downtown Tampa and a stone’s throw from I 75, good location.
We truly enjoyed our stay with OSF! We sat and talked several times during our stay and met his little dogs. The accommodations were fantastic and the site was shady and comfortable. We hope to meet again someday!
We were only able to stay one night, but it was very pleasant. Host was VERY gracious....even provided free electricity! Would definitely stay again when in the area!
He put his truck in the yard to let us use his driveway. Really went out of his way to make it easy for us.
Very enjoyable stay at his convenient location.
We are so thankful that OldsunshineFan hosted us. A great place to stay and a very nice host. We wish him happy travels! Thank you so much!
Our host was absolutely wonderful! He was helpful, so easy going, and gave us information about local attractions and food. He was great. Thank you again!
Nestled in a historic Tampa neighborhood and close to area attractions and Gulf Coast beaches. Very gracious host who provided a spacious spot in his side yard. Loved chatting with him on the front porch. Hope to visit again when in the area.
I enjoyed my stay with OldSunshineFan. Shortly after I arrived, he invited me to sit on his front porch with him and gave me a list of local activities. Then we talked about a variety of topics for awhile. When I finally went back to my van I was pleasantly surprised to see that 4 hours had gone by! If I’m ever in the Tampa area again, I would definitely request this spot again.
We had a wonderful time staying at OSF’s location in Tampa. Our host was easygoing and very kind. As full time Overlanders, we really felt like we were on vacation! We took numerous day trips to the coast and looked forward each evening to great conversations with Bob upon our return! The sun was always shining, we got to play in the sand, fish and grill on the beach! Thank you OSF for making these 3 happy campers happy! We hope we can swing by again soon!
What a great place to spend a few days. Easy to get to, spacious shady spot and Bob met us when we arrived with a smile, words of welcome, and even an informational sheet to help us locate restaurants, shops and so much more! Our host was so gracious and accommodating and we certainly enjoyed our stay.
What a great place to stay right in Tampa. Plenty of space in the side yard. Bob was a great host that made us feel most welcome. If we are back in the area we will most definitely stay here again.
It is a wonderful place. Nice quiet and our host is very friendly. We stay one more night.
OSF had a great spot for our van. We had a pit stop as we moved through FL. Comfortable spot with plenty of room. OSF was welcoming.
I so much appreciate the hospitality and conversation with my generous host. Everything about my stay was perfect for me again. I highly recommend this host site and I will surely request another stay when I return to Florida! Thanks again
Very gracious host! Convenient urban boondocking location. Able to plug into 30A power with water available. Close to the freeway...just a little freeway noise...but I run a small fan at night and slept great.
Bob is the man! We had a blast at this location being so close to Tampa and St. Pete. OldSunshineFan was a really welcoming character and it was a pleasure to meet him. Thanks a ton for hosting our family and would certainly suggest this location.
The host is very welcoming and kind. It is conveniently located for all things Tampa (we were there for the gigantic RV show). We felt comfortable with the neighborhood. (FYI, this space sits less than a small city block away from and under a major interstate freeway (i275) that is very well traveled 24/7, so there is traffic noice.)
This was our second time with this host. Very welcoming, lots of space in his yard.
Thanks you for your hospitality.
Loved our stay with OldSunshineFan!
The lot next to the house is very spacious. My dog absolutely loved it back there as we were able to play fetch at night. The host is very kind and accommodating. Above and beyond with hospitality, even leaving us with parting gifts. DUKE loved the treats. Definitely recommend and if we ever get back in the area we only hope we can stay again. Thanks Sir, for a great week.
OldSunshineFan is a great host. Lots of space in his yard. Offered his water and electricity. Very quiet neighborhood.
OldSunshineFan is a very gracious and accommodating host. The atmosphere is like visiting with a long-time old friend - great conversations! I highly recommend this spacious host site in a well established neighborhood that reminds me of home. I'm very appreciative of my stay at this site.
Very good Welcome from my host. it is very nice person to talk with and everything is clean and well leveled. I haf good information to go to different places around from him.
I thank you for everything.

This was my very first Boondocking experience. I’ve only owned my RV for a few months and I just drove down from the northeast as a snowbird, for my maiden voyage. I’m working in FL for the winter as well as vacationing. Old SunshineFan greeted me upon arrival, helped me back in to my spot under a gorgeous 200 yr old live oak and provided me with valuable local knowledge. For an urban setting, this location was very doable. Easy access from I-4 and I 275, within walking distance to a great little diner, liquor store, convenience store. It was quiet and pleasant. I would definitely return and recommend this little spot in Tampa.
Bob met us and gave a helpful list of area restaurants, directions to Busch Gardens, and local hospitals. Luckily we didn’t need any hospitals during our stay. The neighborhood was quiet. Bob has a 30 amp plug and water available. What more could any weary traveler need?
