Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are in a suburban area of Boise. We are pretty close to Meridian, ID. Actually we are pretty close to everything. Boise is easy to get around! The spot is next to the road so you will have road noise.
Must keep you pet on a leash.
Please clean up after your pet.
No fires.
Quiet hours 9:00pm-7:00am.
No smoking on grounds.
We have a long gravel driveway. You can walk to grocery stores, restaurants and bars if you don’t want to unhook.
We have a long gravel driveway on the side of our house. It is long enough for your RV and tow vehicle.
Bogus Basin ski resort offers down hill and cross country skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. In season, you can take a leisurely float down the Boise River in a raft or inner tube. And don’t miss the Boise State University blue turf! You can access the green belt all year long.
We are so grateful to have stayed with these folks! Their parking area was easy to back into and nice and level. Their neighborhood is nice and an easy walk to the grocery store and post office. They were both friendly and made themselves available for questions.
Easy access and flat parking spot - perfect for a quick stop in Boise! As others have noted, it is close to a big road, but we popped in some ear plugs and slept fine. Thanks for hosting us!
Very easy to find and easy to back into. Family was nice and greeted us and helped us choose a place to eat locally.
Very convenient spot to stop for the night. Did not think road nose was a problem. Got delayed and arrived a little late but host was very gracious and accommodating.
A very convenient location! Not only close to main interstates but a great location for exploring the Boise area. Like others have said there is road noise but that is not a deal breaker for us and didn't bother us. The hosts were very accommodating and have an absolutely beautiful spot! Cell towers for all 3 big carriers are very close and service was exceptional. We would highly recommend this spot and would love to stop here again someday!
Excellent location close to the highway for our cross country trip. Loved that it was walking distance to grocery stores and lots of restaurants. Host were very kind and helpful.
DSC Casa is the perfect spot to park your rig and go explore the Boise area. Plenty of shops, restaurants, post office, etc. in walking distance, easy highway access. There is quite a bit of traffic, day and night, so bring earplugs or turn up the radio.
I was visiting family in Boise and this was the perfect place to stay for three nights. There is significant traffic noise but it does quiet down at night and was not a problem for me.
The hosts were great! A nice level parking place for bigger rigs like ours. So no complaints on that. The only caution would be if road noise is a problem for you, use a fan or sound machine as this is next to a very busy main street. But super convenient to Meridian, Boise and freeway.
Their place is close to literally anything you could need. Long wide gravel driveway that even I was able to back into. Great hosts. Recommend entirely.
This was our second stay with this host, and again they were gracious and welcoming. The spot they have for boondockers is private and shady - a very nice thing when it's 90 degrees in Boise. We definitely would, and did, stay there again! Thanks guys!
Thank you for allowing us back and for another awesome stay right in Boise and close to everything! You guys are such wonderful host!
A great stop over on the way. Access was easy and all made for a wonderful stay.
Awesome hosts and great location to everything you need. They are super friendly and so are the neighbors! Some traffic noise but so easy to sleep through! Highly recommend staying here on a level gravel pad!
The host were very friendly and great communicators. They made sure we texted them 2 or 3 minutes before we arrived so they could be outside to greet us when we pulled in.
DSC was a treat! Super easy to get to and super close to major highways. While the parking is close to the road, we didn’t have any issues with road noise. We had a nice chat with S in the morning and intend to come back later this Summer to check out all that Boise has to offer and see some spots they suggested. Thanks guys!
Great location for us to be able to do all our errands from. Didn’t have a chance to visit with our guests due to inclement weather but Shane did brave the rain to greet us when we arrived. Nice flat area to park our big rig in. Would highly recommend!
Very nice neighborhood and GREAT couple. Perfect place to safely sleep while enroute to Zion NP.
Really close to everything in Boise and the Treasure Valley. Groceries and fuel right down the street, all kinds of restaurants within walking distance too! DSC Casa are super hosts! Although we were there during the Idaho "stay at home" order from the Governor due to the Covid-19 event, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back once we are all back to normal so we can have a proper visit with them! :) Great AT&T/T-Mobile and Verizon service at this location too!
The hosts were gracious and made us feel right at home. Easy walk to a lovely coffee/brekkie place. Nice level parking area.
Our hosts were both there to get us and help us get settled. We got a bit of electrical that charged our house battery and our toothbrush!
Dscompton have an Airstream that was not at the house so we used that parking space which is a long and very level dedicated gravel driveway adjacent to the house. The otherside has a fence for privacy which also shields the view to the main road. The road noise is fairly significant but did not bother us at all.
Only a few miles from downtown allowed us to have a rare dinner out and a quick 3 mile walk on the river path.
We left in the morning and Dscompton were already at work but we were able to thank them by phone for the hospitality.
We recommend this boondockerswelcome site.
Deb was very communicative and supportive when i had questions before arrival. I met Shane and we learned that we shared a lot of history in our first careers in the military. The gravel driveway to park in was convenient and very long. More than enough room for our 33' TT and F-150. It was pretty level, too.
From their home it's a 5 minute walk to Albertsons and Fred Meyer for groceries. It's also easy access to the freeway and just a few minutes from downtown Boise. Navigating to their home was easy using Google maps.
Thank you Deb & Shane!
We were in Boise to visit friends and this spot worked out great. The hosts were so kind and helpful.
Very grateful!
We only ended up staying here for one night as it was a little too hot in Boise for our dogs. This is a great spot, if you want to explore the city. It is backed up to a busy road but the traffic/noise dies down at night.
I’m not very good at backing my trailer so they had their brither-in-law park it for me. They also provided electricity for my cpap machine. They were very pleasant.
Deb and Shane's place was super convenient for us while we spent time with our daughter in Boise. The space is nice and shady on those hot Boise summer days and a quick 10 minutes to town. There is some road noise during the day but it calms down at night and is very quiet. Deb and Shane were very gracious hosts and we would love to stay with them again when we return to Boise. Thanks to both of you!
Really appreciated the fact that Shane offered us a 20 amp outlet so we could run a fan and charge our devices. It made the 2 night stay SO much easier! Site is adjacent to a somewhat noisy street--no problem for us. Lovely neighborhood for walking and riding our bikes. Highly recommend.
Nice parking place right in town. Busy road during the day but pretty quiet at night. Everything we wanted to do was within a 15 minute drive. Host was wonderful.
Right next to a main road with easy access and a large parking area.
We stayed with Shane and Deb for two nights June 12 & 13. They were nice and easygoing. We have 40 foot motorhome and car. We fit easily in their side driveway. They are located in a safe neighborhood with easy access to Boise and the surrounding area. During our stay there we had it up to some natural Hot Springs in the mountains. They were very helpful with providing us information of where we should go. We truly appreciate our stay with Shane and Deb and if we come back to the area, we would definitely request to stay again.
What a great spot! We parked in an extra driveway on the garage side of the house. Partially shaded and felt like our own little oasis in the side yard. Close to Boise, and easy access to I-84–great spot for sightseeing.
Our host were cheerful, free with information, and very helpful. We had a problem with our fridge while we were there and they assisted so. We didn’t have to trash all of our food. THANKS GUYS!
Only negative is that you are backed up to a busy commuter road-rather noisy. But trust me the positives outweigh that small inconvenience 👍!! Would definitely stop here again.
