No matter where you are headed, we all need to rest. Nothing fancy here but for sure it will be your own private rest area with the assurance that no one will be knocking your door. Here you will hear rooster songs as a new day greeting. Once every 2 months average, neighbors play loud music during weekends (Friday or Saturday) night but its rare. We live in the outskirt of Bakersfield, near 5 freeway and Hageman Almond orchards everywhere at walking distance for a good morning walk (bring a stick, loose dogs on street sometimes). Just be a good and happy camper. Suggested Local Attractions:-Not a lot to do in Bakersfield but that's what Google is for. However, you really don't want to miss the Almond Orchard Blossoms in the last week of Feb and first week of March (dates vary), its amazing!. We are at walking distance of this Orchards. -Google Tule Elk Reserve State Natural Reserve, this interesting place and it's only 15 minutes from our location, we go there often and only 50% off our visits we are able to see elks from about 300ft away. It's always lonely and clean restrooms. -If you are coming or going to cross the Mojave desert, google " Red Rock Canyon State Park " in Cantil California, is only 20 minutes off your route and it's a small but beautiful place- not near from us. We are 1 hr and 45 minutes from there.

Location

Access Road Conditions: about 1500 feet of dirt road to enter my host location, just follow our directions and drive slow, you will be ok. I recomend you enter on the first gate, ( north gate) opposite from what I did on the youtube video, that way hook ups will be closer to you on driver side. Or just park on the street for a minute and get down to plan your entrance. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: plenty of space.

Hosted By THE_5_PILGRIMS

Age:

30-45

42 yr old Dad and husband looking to entertain my family on occasional Rv'ing. Details: We are the Five Pilgrims traveling the narrow road and we get tired sometimes (always) and need to rest, and that's the reason we may take advantage of this amazing service and great heart from You. I'm a DIRECTV technician who works hard and once in a while I go out RV'ing with family just to get away from home, not a lot of time really, as we also stay busy at our local church serving the community. If you open your place for us, we will respect your privacy and rules. We do not drink alcohol, we do not smoke. God Bless You and Thank You for your kindness. Home Town: Bakersfield CA Favorite Boondocking Locations: Along the Oregon coast highway on a vista point with ocean view and the moon shining on the ocean (night stay), An OREGON state trooper sent us there. Skills or Expertise to Share: Love music, know basic electric bass, basic keyboard, wife plays guitar. I install at&t internet and Directv. Had helped lots of RVer's with their Directv satellite problems.

We’ve been using Harvest Host as full-time RVers for 4 years now and our stay here was truly relaxing and so easy. We were met at the gate and it was extremely easy to pull in with our 38’ motorhome and toad (53’ in total). They have a power pedestal right there (110, 30 and 50 amp) as well as water if you want it. It’s green and lush with trees, none of which hindered our two slides and VERY quiet all night. We slept extremely well and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in this area!

Nice host. Was able to get my 35ft RV, pulling a 22ft trailer. In the spot with no problems. Safe place to stop. Would stop again.

Easy access to a flat parking spot. We didn’t need the electric hookup. They offer nothing to purchase. They just open up their property through the goodness of their hearts. Definitely a relaxed stay.

very easy access and well marked. It was nice to have the electric hook ups and water. We were warmly greeted by Miriam and her children, and after a few minutes, we were enjoying the peace and quiet with the occasional rooster crowing in the distance. We highly recommend “where are you headed”!
