Description

This location is the parking and drive areas for the nursery and garden center we use to run (too much work getting in the way of our travels, so we closed it). Our home sits on the property and we would love to visit if we are around. Access to the property is convenient to Highway 75 (N & S) and I-70 (E & W). Some shade depending on where you park. Spots are fairly level, gravel or grass growing through gravel, most locations not an issue when it rains.
We overlook a fair sized lake.

House Rules

• Prefer non smokers, but will tolerate smokers as long as they dispose of butts properly.
• You must keep an eye on children and pets – water is close by, also woods with poison-ivy.
• No generators after 10 pm or before 7 am.
• No vicious dogs, or guests.

Access Road Conditions

Paved county road to property, two 40' wide drives entering property. Gravel drives and parking.

Tow Vehicle Parking Details

Tow vehicle parking is available next to the RV, and we also have several other areas that are accessible.

Phenomenal Hosts and Location

KSkodi put the “Hospitality” in Midwest Hospitality. Our host came out to guide us in on our arrival and offered great ideas on the local attractions while we set up. We were grateful to have water and power at our site. It was level, well packed and the trees offered awesome shade. Note: water pressure in the front site is high so be sure to regulate.
Our hosts were a wonderful and warm couple with terrific RV experience. An unforeseen medical emergency forced us into the hospital while staying at Blue Acres. . KSkodi could not have been more accommodating and even visited several times during our hospital stay. While ours was a unique situation, everything about KSlkodi’s hospitality indicates to me that anyone can expect this level of human kindness from them. Simply an incredible couple.
When we are cleared for travel, we plan to start back up where we left off; with KSkodi and their fantastic Blue Acres / Boondockers Welcome location.

Awesome stay!!

This was my first stay with Boondockers Welcome and it was awesome. Tom was a great host and greeted my on my arrival. He gave me a tour of the property and we talked for a little while. After that he gave me the seclusion I needed to get some work done from my rig. Also, nice large open area for dogs to run as well as a fenced in area in the back if you want to use that too. He also provides a fire ring in the back of the house, but it was a bit too cold for me to use this time. Will be back on my next time through the area.

Wide Open Space

Enjoyed our stay. Large level area with water and electric. Host was very accommodating. Great place to stay if you want to see the Wizard of Oz Museum or the Evil Knievel Museum. Looking forward to more great adventures.

3xnice

Nice location, nice people, nice site. We really enjoyed visiting with Tom and Bobbie. They have a very nice property and we appreciated having water and electric available. The Oz museum is about 40 minutes away and is a must see in my opinion. The Oz winery was fun too.

Thanks Kskodi, I hope you get on the road soon!

Fantastic hosts!

Tom and Bobbi were wonderful hosts! We spent most of our time at Blue Acres with Tom. This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay. We have a 5 and almost 3 year old and he was awesome with them. He went above and beyond and even got water toys out for them to play with. We appreciated being able to use his 50 amp hookups since it was in the 90s and he even offered us water, even though we didn't need it. Their property is absolutely beautiful! Our family enjoyed their backyard and lake view. It was a short 20 minute drive into downtown Topeka, so all in all, it was a perfect stop. We would definitely stay there again and wish the Garcias the best on their future adventures!

Kansas hospitality

What a nice amiable and helpful host. He helped us to set up and also provided me with some wooden blocks to add to my small collection :-) ended up staying two nights instead of one, zero hassle. Thanks KSkodi
