Best spot is on the side of the house in the grass.
No generators after 9 for the sake of my neighbors but I have electric so you should not need to use it at all. I can fill up your water but you cannot stay connected as I have a leak, unless you can fix the leak. Someone took off with the extension card I had outside so please bring a long extension cord to hook up to power.
Paved road, sharp turns, on top of a small mountain 900 feet
Street parking ok for tow vehicles
Please always call if you can before you book as I sometimes have last minute work travel and do not always remember to update blocked dates
The city of Birmingham has alot to offer culturally. If you do not have a tow vehicle I have an electric car you can borrow for a fee as there isnt much local transit. We also have tons of hiking, Moss Rock Preserve, Redmint Park, Oak Mountain state parks all within 20 minutes. This is a foodie and shopping town so lots to eat and tons of shops.
This was my very first experience with Boondocker Welcome and it was excellent. The host was very kind and let me plug in my van to the electricity. There was an issue with the messages on the website, but the Theresalorusso was still willing to let me stay even though it was later in the evening.
We really enjoyed our stay with Theresalorusso. It was definitely a cool couple of nights in Birmingham, but this was a great location to check out the city and all the things it offers. The host offered her driveway, which was the perfect size for our rig and very easy to get in and out. Our host was having some issues with her doggies, but nonetheless, she really went above and beyond for a host, making sure that we had everything we needed. We hope we can see her again when she is traveling in our area.
Theresalorusso is a most gracious host going way out of her way to help us get set up even though we arrived after dark and it was COLD. Just hope we will have an opportunity to return the hospitality in the future at our site.
My host was so kind, giving and thoughtful. We enjoyed sharing our life stories. My stay was very pleasant and secure, spot on the driveway. A lovely neighborhood. The same day availability and the hosts quickness to accept was awesome. This being the last overnight boondocker from my trip from California, it was wonderful. May God bless my host and family. My kind regards,Dale+FloOak3
We spent one night and the boondockers spot. We had been driving all day and we were pretty tired. Good communication as well as kind and helpful. The suburb was quiet and we got some well needed rest. Thanks again
Host was very accommodating;driveway just long enough for 2006 GMC Sierra truck & 17' rig.Contact host shortly before arrival for best back in instructions.
Couldn’t be happier with our stay. Hostess was kind and very welcoming, even when we had to arrive late. She showed us her beautiful property and herb and vegetable garden. She invited us to take some. She had electric and water available and made sure we had everything. She was a delight to talk with. We had a really great night’s rest. We look forward to a future visit(s)!!
Nice hosting in a suburban neighborhood. Friendly host with hookups. Would stay again.
We stayed at this Suburban Birmingham neighborhood spot on our way back home during the coronavirus pandemic. We were very appreciative of our host willing to put us up under the current situation. We did get a chance to talk briefly keeping our distance. Next time we’re coming through Birmingham we look forward to spending more time with our host and visiting the city.
She was really great and checked on us all the time to see if we needed anything. Would definitely stay again!
Very accommodating, I was late getting in due to atoms in the area, but she came out to welcome me, offered electric.
Great location in Birmingham! Communication was quick and easy. Loved visiting with the host before settling in for the night. She even invited us back after our day in Birmingham. Would definitely come again. Highly recommended! Thank you!
Our first night in our new insulated van and it was 22degrees. Our host invited us into her house and we were sooo grateful.
What a nice thing to do. Saved us from hunting for a hotel room.
Our little pitstop in Alabama was made much more interesting by meeting our host. She told us about the area, and helped us out when we needed to get to a cell phone shop quick!
Great location, comfy stay. Thank you!
We loved staying here, she was so friendly and knowledgable on RV equipment! We have modified our van and it was nice to talk to someone who knows the all about the options. She gave us some delicious lasagne when we got there and we gave her some of our Doctor D's Sparkling Probiotic drinks. We didn't get to stay too long but it's a beautiful area and it was so nice to meet a new friend there. We will have to go back thru there and will happlly stay there again! Highly recommend this spot. Thanks again!
