This is a rustic spot between an old barn and farm sheds, with a light use County Road on one side, and the view of a marshy shallow bay
and low mountains in background on the other side.
It is located 400m from our house, so the spot is quite reclusive and somewhat secluded;
(but you will be located +/- 50m from a ´relatively' quiet secondary country road.)
Due to the remoteness from our home, the site is very tranquil,
and We might come by briefly once or twice a day
to verify if everything's OK related to the site .
Very rural, but can be picturesque, depending an your taste.
Has direct access to the end of a marshy bay, and a short nature walk / path.
The mentioned County Rd 24 is a designated Cycle Route in both directions.
Area is also great for canoeing, kayak, photography, birdwatching, meditating, etc.
NOT recommended with children.
Common sense; not recommended with children; generators until 9 pm.
Basic donation accepted for the electric hook-up and grounds keeping cost.
Open comunication: ie: "don't be shy to ask..." or ´just call us' .
This site is basically a 75’ gravel driveway off of a scenic, quiet paved country road.
Also, there are areas of full sun or predominant shade to choose from...
Parking available anywhere around the camper.
Variable, but predominantly available... ...possibly even in winter .
Just contact to verify / confirm.

We can’t say enough great things about this place. The hosts were fantastic. Shaun takes great pride in keeping his place beautiful. It’s quiet, secluded with beautiful view. Lovely walking trail. I think they spoiled us for our boondocking experience. Thank you Shaun we’ll be back.
Our stay was great. The host was very attentive and met us at the road, showing us where to park. He left, we settled in and he returned to check if we needed anything else, and gave us a short history of the property.
Good overnight, accommodating host.
Thank you Shaun for allowing us to stay between your barn and shed, in what must be the quietest spot we've ever boondocked at! Wonderful. We slept so well.
Sorry for the tardiness on posting, we don't have internet as we travel.
This was are first time using Boondockers. Shaun met us at The Old Barn and showed us where we could park and where the hydro was. Had a nice conversation with him before he left and we then enjoyed a quiet night and left early in the morning. If you need somewhere to spend a night this place is perfect. Thanks again Shaun.

We stayed between the barn and shed, at the mouth of the driveway. Even though it was near a road, it was very quiet. Beautiful spot to stay. Lots of room for any size unit. Hydro available, if necessary.
Thank you for having us on property. You have a beautiful levelled spot. The trail around the water is very calming. And you were a wonderful host. Would highly recommend this spot
Very nice private place. Beautiful view. The host was very gracious and Informative of the area Would highly recommend this spot. Calming trails and had a quiet sleep under the stars. Thank you for letting us enjoy your property.
Great spot, overlooking the water. Plenty of level grassed parking on a treed lot. Very private. We were greeted by hosts and given option of hydro
We stayed at Shaun’s for one night. It is a nice and quiet spot. The trail by the water is a must!
We were greeted upon arrival (good thing because I initially drove right past). Had a perfect shade spot under some trees. Shaun checked in every day to ensure all was well, and even brought us some fresh picked apples from his tree. Nice green space between the barns and cut pathways for walks. Not much traffic on the road, and very quiet at night. Would definitely stay again if passing in the area. Thanks ShaunsMachines!
Our hosts were very friendly. They helped us get situated and let us know where we could go. We enjoyed some bird watching, sunsets, and walking around the property. If you are in this area, we recommend this location. Thanks S&S!
We had the fortunate experience to have met Shaun and Sylvie a month before when they visited our location.
It truly felt like meeting old friends again when we Boondocked on their property overlooking the Ottawa River.
We can’t say enough to give credit to the both of them and their location. It is as peaceful and tranquil as you could ever wish. There are a number of different locations to position your rig on the property aptly named
“By the old Barn”. The conversations are entertaining on so many topics. They are both eager to share as much or little time with visitors as anyone chooses. This location is what Boondockers Welcome is truly all about. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit if you’re anywhere in the area.
We look forward to meeting again sometime.
Shaun made sure that we were comfortable and was very pleasant to chat with. Sylvie(?) presented us with fresh carrots from her garden
Shaun received us in front of his beautiful handy constructed house. He shows us the name’s place “By the Barn” … it is really that! And more, we have a good overlook of the bay along the Outaouais River. He came back in the evening to see us and ask if everything is ok. We have a good talking on our respective life. We highly recommend Shaun’s “By the Barn” place.
We had a very nice stay at their beautiful location over looking the bay. Was very quiet and very private next to the barn.
They came and checked on us a few times to make sure we were ok and they were very accommodating.
Would love to stay there again if passing through the area...
Shaun met us at the road to show us in and got us set up, and checked back a couple of times to make sure everything was ok.
As we were both busy, we didn't spend a lot of time socializing, but we really appreciate being allowed to stay here.
The spot was beautiful, well maintained. We liked the walking trail and quietude of the site and area in general.
Plus it was close enough to visit family in Orleans a couple of times over the weekend.
Our hosts got us quickly settled in and hooked up with electric. Nice spot looking over the Ottawa River with beautiful fall colours as a backdrop. Nice trail right along the water's edge. Very private and quiet.
Shaun welcomed us with open arms by cell and golf cart after our GPS sent us slightly astray. He escorted us to what can only be described as an absolutely beautiful site between two older barns. There is even wood for a campfire if you desire along with trails to the river. He ensured everything was to our satisfaction before leaving and even checked in later to make sure that things were OK. We were pleased to be able to give him some information on RVing in Mexico. This is a fantastic place to stay if you’re in the area.
