Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are on 5 heavily wooded acres. There are 2 areas that would accommodate small to med. sized RV's. I'm afraid a large class A would have a hard time maneuvering, and there are tree limbs to look out for. The available sites are a distance from the house, so no hookups are available. If your rig is small enough to get up the drive to the house, we can at least offer water to top off your fresh water tank.
Quiet time from 10PM to 6AM. No fire pits but BBQ grills are ok. Pets are OK on leash, please clean up after them. There are wild animals about, so be vigilant. Coyotes, Bobcats, Pumas, Racoons, Porcupines all come by now and then. Smokers OK, just please don't drop your butts.
Approx. 700' of gravel drive from paved highway. Straight shot to our gate, down a slight hill. Lot of trees, so even a mid-sized class C will find either area a little tight.
Room for tow vehicles next to or near RV.
We're using this down time to do some grading and graveling, trying to make the area a little bit nicer.
Wildlife West animal park/zoo is 6 miles away in Edgewood. Founders Ranch Shooting range (Headquarters for SASS) is about 6 miles to the south, and Albuquerque is 15 miles to the west. We're located just about a mile and a half from the I-40 frontage road. Madrid, NM is about an hour north, and Santa Fe is about half an hour further.
We really enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and peaceful. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and helpful.
Do not go onto the property, until you've been guided to your spot. We did just that and had difficulty turning around. The hosts were very helpful with all the maneuvering. 🤗
Such a helpful and friendly host. Totally enjoyed a refreshing solid nights sleep. I'll be looking him up next time I'm thru town for sure! Beautiful spot!!
A lovely camping spot. Quiet, dark, with a mini horse named Sugar in the pasture next door. What more could you ask for?! Easy in and out with 18' campervan. Gravel parking.
Host was very nice and very accommodating. Site was roomy for our class b van. Lots of trees. Thank you for a very peaceful night.
It was wonderful, we thank God that by Amy Pond was there to receive us. We had issues with our RV and By Amy Pond graciously offered to help us to fix the problem. We're back on the road and everything is just fine.we cannot that him enough. We're so happy we stayed with them.
Really appreciated the natural beauty and wildlife here, and the hosts were kind and helpful. Next time bring apples and carrots. Social distancing respected here.
Our host was very accommodating. We respected our space so didn’t get to know them, but the site, peacefulness and the stars were fabulous. P&J
We had the pleasure of meeting our hosts. They were very informative answered all my questions even all the late-night ones and I had a lot I kind of feel bad for how many I asked but they were nothing short of spectacular when it came to answering everything I had to ask. It's a beautiful area a lot of nice trees I got to see my first cactus that actually grew out of the ground. And the Sun at the top of this little beautiful mountain is so very beautiful and bright in the morning it's crazy. I was up by 7 naturally and happy to be out of bed by 8:30. I even had another issue with my trailer this time it was a nut went missing and our host had the cure for my problem thank you very much it's been a wonderful stay
FANTASTIC HOST, VERY HELPFUL IN EVERY WAY, VERY CONVENIENT LOCATION FOR DAY TRIPS, VERY EASY AREA FOR PARKING...CAN'T SAY ENOUGH EXCEPT THAT THIS HOST IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!!!!
We’ve wrote to them in the morning for Just one night... it was snowing and we won’t be prepare to that... and they welcome us!
Thanks you so much again!
It was nice to meet you. 😊
Perfect place to relaxe after a day of road. And really nice to meet Bob who is really gracious and interesting person. We would like have more time to know him better...
Bob and Lin are such a nice couple and were so welcoming. I had a choice of spots and I picked the one that placed me right beside the two amazing little creatures - the miniature pony and the mule, which were fast friends. So nice to wake in the morning to them waiting to be petted. My stay was perfect!
Our rig didn’t fit in this hosts spots but they were able to accommodate us anyway and! They were able to squeeze us in for the week of the balloon fiesta ! The site had no hookups but it was really quiet and spacious . Thanks again!
Bob has a few spaces to choose from on his large property. We choose to park next to where the charming and friendly miniature horse and donkey live. They came over to greet us in the morning and my little Yorkie was fascinated by them. Bob and Lynn are very friendly and helpful and told us of a wonderful place to have dinner - and we did - and he was right - it was good. We hope they will come and Boondock at my place in Las Vegas.
My host greeted me and was very friendly. He recommended a Mexican restaurant per my request and it was a fantastic spot! Might stay here on my way back east.
Not everyone would get that reference but Bob and Lynn did. In addition to a witty sense of humor evidenced by the sign "Amy Pond" posted on their property, Bob and Lynn were very friendly and gracious hosts.
We loved meeting the neabors donkey!
We loved that our host was willing to meet us and help make us welcome.
A wonderful host, who was there to greet us on arrival. He offered us a choice of sites and helped us park up. He was happy and communicative, with information on the surrounding area. There was no road noise, just peace and quiet for a good nights sleep. We highly recommend a stay there.
A very nice property and hosts. You can park in a forest of pine trees or in a flat open field. Within about 5 miles from a small town with restaurants, groceries and Walmart. A blacktop road leads to the property which keeps the rig clean. A great experience.
We asked Bob if we could have them as a backup and he agreed. He was very nice and understanding when we talked on the phone. We ended up not staying there because we found a place that was closer to our final destination and with hookups. We’re thankful for their availability.
We really enjoyed our peaceful stay and especially enjoyed the wonderful hosts who are special people. Highly recommend this pleasant stop!
Bob was so hospitable and the neighbors lets us per and feed their miniature horses. Our family had a great time there.
In spite of the mud after a big storm, Bob was super friendly and helpful getting us situated on his property. Beautiful spot to camp!
The weather had been rainy, snowy.. just plain yucky so the grounds were muddy in my location. Nothing can be done about that.
The GPS directions took me one street past his street to Jubilee drive so you need to follow his directions. But if you do get on Jubilee there is a cul de sac at the end to turn around.
If you have a big camper DO NOT go into his gate. The trees need trimming. Wait for Bob to come direct you where to go. I have 22ft travel trailer. It's not that big but tall enough for the limbs to get tangled up in your rig.
It was a nice and peaceful night's rest.
Thank you Bob!
Bring carrots or apples for the horse or donkeys next door. They are some kind of crossbreed I think.
Thank you for allowing us to be your first boondockers! Your hospitality was great and we appreciated the homemade cookies.
The sunset was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. If we pass through this way we will definitely reach out to return!
Thank you!
