Paved side street, in town.
Driveway is level, 30 feet long with a 9 foot head clearance. Overnight parking on the street is available for larger units but only from April 15 to November 15. Because of the height restriction for the driveway and the 6 degree slope of the street large units are not a good fit. Electricity and water available in either location. The city of Augusta has a dump station available at no charge but is only open Mon-Fri 7-3. Nearest KOA (with dump station) is 12 miles away.
We are occasionally out of town briefly.
As above.
This was a very nice spot we stayed at for 3 nights with 110V electric near downtown Augusta. It was quiet and Charles and Ann are a great host couple with a wealth of information on various topics.
Had a very nice stay and was able to fit my classic B-Class into the driveway but would caution against trying anything bigger. My host was very helpful as I situated the van and I took advantage of the electricity offered.
Chatting with my host we soon discovered we each had ancestors who hailed from the same part of County Kilkenny, Ireland, which proved either that the world is a very small place or the Irish are pretty much everywhere.
The only note I would pass along would be the available level space is a snug fit between two residences so neighborly consideration should be uppermost in mind while visiting. I almost wish I could have stayed longer to take fuller advantage of my host’s generous hospitality.
These delightful hosts were able and willing to accommodate us on very short notice when our truck broke down a few miles from them. Absolutely saved us!
They love their city and are so knowledgable about it's history. Gave us a great walking tour one evening. Nice quiet neighborhood and we loved our stay! Feeling grateful!
Super Nice host. Enjoyed 2 overnighting here. I recomnand this host.
Just like seeing old friends. Great stories and conversations. Good food and sight seeing suggestions. Small spot in driveway was just right for us.
Charles & Ann are wonderful hosts & their location was within blocks of the Maine Capital Statehouse.
My following comment is NOT meant to be negative toward them or their location.
But unfortunately my 20 yr old motorhome does not have levelers & the street has to much slope for boards & my comfort. So I apologized to Charles & Ann & moved on before my scheduled departure date.
Thank you Charles & Ann for inviting me.
Sincerely,
Chuck
Charles and Ann were very nice. They gave us alot of info for places to see. Very close to downtown and a rail trail that we rode to 2 cute towns. They met us in the evening for music and wine. Lots to do. The only downfall was leveling our RV. Took a long time with blocks and even then not quite level. Charles and Ann were lovely so if you are in the area I would recommend staying there but be prepared for leveling.
