We just bought 5 acres and we are building a house. We have room! Cows on one side, people on the other. Nice country setting. There is a gravel driveway. There is construction on the property as we are building our house. We have a barn. There is a fire pit and a picnic table. It is rolling hills. We do have goats, alpaca and a miniature donkey in the field.

House Rules

Be kind to the animals

Access Road Conditions

We have a paved road coming in but our driveway is gravel. We are currently building a house on one end of the property so the circular drive is often blocked but, you can turn around most anywhere in the yard. Once the house is complete we will level out a side of the barn to accommodate more campers.

Tow Vehicle Parking Details

You can park behind, beside or somewhere near your camper.

We are all over the place. Holidays are generally out, either we already have company or we are going somewhere. Send us a message.

Suggested Local Attractions

Unfortunately there is not a lot around here but farms and countryside. We are close to Macintosh Reserve and only bout 10 miles from an access ramp to the Chattahoochee River. The river is closer but, to access you would need to go to Macintosh Reserve (there is a fee) which is 6 miles away or go to the next town that is 10 miles away.

Fantastic Family to Meet!

This host was extremely accommodating and really remarkable to meet. They have gorgeous property with plenty of space and beautiful animals to gaze at (they let us feed them and we loved the experience). Wish we had more time to visit with them, because they are really good people.

A lovely farm and friendly hosts!

So nice to have found this host within about an hour of Atlanta. They were super friendly and accomodating. Enjoyed visiting and feeding the farm animals too. Grateful for the hospitality and sharing the farm experience with us. Will definitely come back to visit next time we are in the area.

Down on the farm. Cool people and animals.

Thank you for such a nice warm welcoming. Your farm is very cool. Sorry we didn't get to see you before we left , your hospitality was awesome. Please add us to your places to visit.

Lovely People, Lovely Farm

We had the pleasure of staying with John and Mary for a few nights, and couldn't have had a better time. When we arrived, we were offered water and electric, dinner, and visited with all the farm animals. They are building a beautiful home by hand, and we got the grand tour. This property is super peaceful, and easy to reach from the highway.
Hope to come back again!

Great place and awesome couple!

Super welcoming and the location/ animals were just an added bonus! Our hosts went out of their way to show us the land and animals and we had a wonderful time with them our last night around a fire. Hope to see them again! Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your piece of paradise!

What a beautiful and serene location. Close to many great state parks to explore. Mary and John are great hosts, sharing stories and showing us his project of building his house. Great job and huge undertaking. We enjoyed the goats. Alpacas, donkeys, chickens, cats and playing fetch with the dog. A little piece of heaven and only 50 miles from Atlanta. Thank you for your hospitality. Virginia and Bob

Quiet farm setting

We like staying with Mary & John at their farm setting place. All the animals remind us of our rural upbringing, esp. the newborn goat! Hope to see you again.

We offer a recommendation for Marylesh in Carrollton. They offered a quiet, comfortable location that allowed us to avoid Atlanta. Alpacas, goats, dogs, cats, etc provided a nice, farm-like atmosphere. And she is very nice. We didn't get to meet him but we'll try to return another time for sure.
