Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostSite is in our side yard, quite open with shade depending on time of day. Yard is not totally fenced, just down by the road for privacy and noise control.
We do have a 50 pound Portuguese Water Dog that is free to roam property with underground fence. Very friendly but also very noisy upon arrivals to property.
Fire ring in front yard, not near camp sites.
paved 55 mph highway, but site and tow vehicle parking is off road behind privacy fence. Not too noisy. Driveway has culvert on both sides, be aware coming in and going out - wide turn to stay out of culverts. Paved driveway.
plenty of space for camper and tow vehicle
We are close to downtown, beach and public transportation. Lots to do... Cherry Festival, Film Festival, Beaches, Boating, Fishing, Wine Tours, Breweries, Casinos
Groceries and Public Transportation and Hospital .2 miles
Downtown, Marina and Beaches 2.3 miles
Old Mission Pensinsula (base) 3.6 miles
TC State Park 5.8 miles
Deb0wman and her pup Brittany were very welcoming. Traverse city was a super cute town, and she was a short drive away. Spent most of our time walking around town and sampling the local faire!
We had a great time staying with Deb at their house. Super accomodating and funny! Highly recommend staying here if you have the chance. Just down the road from Moomers ice cream, only 30 minutes from sleeping bear dunes and close to downtown. Very central location.
We have a 35ft fifth wheel toyhauler and it was a little tight turning around in the driveway to back-into the spot, but once in, we had plenty of room in the yard to run around.
We definitely recommend this spot and will be back!
We had a great time! Deb & Don were Very Pleasant and thoughtful! Gave us great directions there and then back out again.
Great hiking trails within walking distance and close to stores. Great time of year to visit Traverse City.
Thanks!
we enjoyed our two nights here. This area is spectacular, from the pretty views to small shops and farmers markets, we loved the area. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and such a great location!
Host is very nice and the location is great for all the wonderful things to see and do in the area.
Perfect place to explore the M22 coast. Deb and Don made us feel right at home. We look forward to returning to the area.
With walking paths, botanical gardens, shops and grocery store plus downtown all within short walking distance this “Little Acre” is a great spot for visiting Traverse City. Hosts were very helpful getting us parked in a relatively tight spot for our 27’ trailer + truck and friendly. We were out and about nearly all day and evening during our stay - quiet in the evening and early morning.
Our only regret we had on our visit to Deb &Don's little acre is that we only had one night to stay. Traverse city is a beautiful town and our host helped us see what we could in that short time. After we got our bikes unloaded Don gave us tips on getting to downtown the scenic way and filled us in on where to get the best cherry pies in all of Michigan. Deb and Don exchanged a few traveling adventure stories with us and made us feel very welcome on our short stay. Hope to be back for a longer stay to see more of a beautiful city. Thank you Don and Deb.
Wonderful stay for one night. Hosts were so accommodating. Parking spot will require backing in. We were there on the night of a huge rainstorm so it can get a bit muddy.
No problem at all if it’s dry. Hosts provided 15 amp electric and water.
Would definitely come again.
Wonderful, friendly and helpful hosts! We highly recommend them and we would definitely come back again!
Deb greeted us upon arrival at their home. The site worked very well for us with our small motor home. They were very generous and helpful with water and electric hook up. Don worked to make sure we had wifi as well. Friendly conversations with both about boon docking and RV travel as well as bicycling in the area.
Close to Everything in Traverse City
Upon arrival Deb greeted us, we met Britney, then Deb showed us where to set up and plug into their electric, water and connect to the WI-FI. The spot is grassy, and has plenty of room to put out an awning and chairs, also to park your tow vehicle close. There is a lot of vehicle traffic but as it gets on into the evening it slows down. The location is close to downtown but out just enough, perfect. There is some nice wooded walking trails close by. Spoke with both Deb and Don to get their pick of local restaurants and shared some traveling stories. Enjoyed our time there and would stay again.
Thanks, Deb and Don

This was only our second boondockers welcome experience and it couldn't have been better!! We were welcomed upon arrival. Communication was clear and quick throughout the process. Location is easy to find with warm & friendly, VERY helpful gracious hosts! They have a very sweet pooch we enjoyed being able to pet too! I can't say enough about their kindness! The turn in to this location can be a little tedious due to traffic but just take your time and swing WIDE. Very private beautiful setting. Mostly level where you park with trees surrounding you, grass out your door. :) There is traffic noise (it does slow down during the night) which didn't bother us. Location is convenient for sight seeing all over this area! Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We would love to stay here again. Thank you so much Deb & Don, we thoroughly enjoyed your LIttle Acre!!
Friendly host and great location. It is close to town, but close to woods and trails also. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it.
Very accommodating hosts who were nice enough to take me in a day early. Great plot of land right out of town w a hammock! Thanks:)
What a nice spot. Shade and great parking. Greeted as we arrived by host and dog, Very friendly. Recomend this spot .
Great couple and location to stay. We would go back anytime! They provided us with tourist information on the Traverse City area which came in vert handy.
Deb and Don were terrific hosts. The location was lovely and convenient to downtown Traverse City. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.
