Such a welcoming couple! All that was missing to make us truly feel like royalty was a red carpet. We were treated according to the Golden Rule, keeping COVID-19 social distancing in mind, given freedom to ride the owners' golf cart, gather wood for gathering around the firepit, and even given a homestead tour. We also enjoyed Lake Talisi Riverwalk Trail and the farmer's market next to the Tractor Supply Store in nearby Tallassee. Both the Barndominium property and Fleahop have unique stories. We share the giving spirit with our hosts and swapped produce... So excited to cook purple hulled peas for the first time like "they do in the South"! We were delighted with this down-home Alabama stay.
This was a great place to Boondock !
Thank YOU to our Host . Would like to return again sometime when we are in the area.
Quiet and nice place to stay under a covered roof. We did not get to meet our hosts but they were very kind to let us stay and made sure everything was ok when we got there. There is a nice river walk in Tallasee that we walked on too. We recommend staying here if you are in the area.
They weren't on-site but stll left the welcome mat out for us! This is our second visit. Hope to see them at our place soon. Thanks again!
Our host is wonderfull! We were in a jam. Our stay at Gunter Hill was cancelled due to flooding when We were almost there. We contacted Barndominium and he told us to come on. Even though he wasn't there! And he let us stay longer than 2 days. This is a friendly caring man. A big thank you to him.
Warm, welcoming hosts made us feel at home right away. They took us to one of their favorite diners soon after we arrived, and filled us in on the sights to see and places to go in the area. Their country spot was level and quiet. A very memorable experience! Love you guys!!
A well hidden gem! Finally we have been reunited with a family from a different life. We loved every moment of our stay to the extent that we needed to extend for a further two days to catch up. The hospitality was beyond words. Beautiful quiet place, with lots of open space and nature at the same time. Will definitely be visiting again.
My stay here in. Barndominium was over my expectations. I had only planned to stay 2 nights, but decided to stay 2 more nights. I had a a wonderful couple as my hosts. They truly made me feel welcome.
I definitely will stay here again if my travels take me here.
