We are located on the Northeast Cape Fear River at a depth of about 30'. We are currently living in our camper on the property due to the flooding after Hurricane Florence. RV living is a way of life that we're really starting to love and we want to be able to share our home with others. Depending on where you park you may have access to water, sewer and electric. Let us know your needs and we will do what we can to accommodate. We offer great views, good fishing and a dock to swim from or to tie off a boat, canoe or kayak. There is a very nice boat launch just a few minutes by both car and boat. We have a bonfire ring and use it frequently and would love for you to join us. We have 2 small female dogs, Claire and Rosie, that we generally allow off leash but with very little effort can keep them contained for your stay. We also have several deer that frequent our runoff gully most mornings as well as other wildlife in the area. On clear nights a sighting of the Milky Way is not uncommon. We are quite far out in the country so cell phone and internet service can be bad. I have Verizon and can get cell service in most places on the property but it is not 100% reliable. Suggested Local Attractions: The local beaches at Topsail Island and Historic Downtown Wilmington are each about a 40 minute drive from our location.

Location

Access Road Conditions: We live about a mile down a dirt road that is two and a half cars wide so maneuverability shouldn't be a problem, just take it slow. There is also a loop at the bottom of the road so turning around is a breeze. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have plenty of space on the property or you can park along the road if it is easier for you to park there. The lot is large and there are multiple spots to park depending on the size of the rig, that said, backing your rig is necessary if you are wanting the water and electric hookups.

River front adventure Details: We are currently living in a camper due to the flooding after Hurricane Florence and have really started to fall in love with the RV lifestyle. We are currently unable to travel but in the next year we would like to start to take 2 to 3 trips a year across the country. My husband and I would travel with 3 young children and sometimes our 1 older dog and take advantage of our ability to take our house with us where ever we go. Home Town: We live on the Northeast Cape Fear River and call Burgaw, NC home. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have only boondocked on emergency and did it on a whim. We evacuated from Burgaw, NC during Hurricane Florence and boondocked in two Walmart Parking lots in Virginia and North Carolina. Both locations we were able to meet both fellow evacuees and linemen waiting to go in to help restore power. Maybe not the greatest of circumstances but we met some great people. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am a full time accountant and tax preparer and my husband is the property manager for our rental properties. Between the two of us we can build anything and report it properly to the IRS. Beginning to end.

Matt and Lauren were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond during our stay here. We thoroughly appreciated the guidance with our new rig and assisted us troubleshooting some of our own mechanical issues. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the area and how private it is with our dog. Rosie their pup gives the warmest welcomes daily haha They were even able to accomodate us for longer. There flexibility was a relief for us during our travels in the area! We hope to come back soon!

This place is near a river, great place for fishing, the host is very helpful, great people, helped me a lot with some issues on the RV, the cell signal is kind of little bit low (Verizon), but after 3 days stays here, somehow i feel more refreshed, maybe we shouldn't expose ourself too much to the 5G and other electrical-magnitcal wave so much, so come enjoy this place and you will like it.
