Quiet country setting but close to town. Large gravel area for RV parking.
Conveniently located 3 miles off of WV route 33/48 and 18 miles from exit 99 on Interstate 79. All roads are paved and maintained by the state. If using Interstate 79, use Exit 99. If using GPS and coming from the North, do not take Exit 115 for Rt 20 South. This is a very winding, 2 lane road.
On our road, there is a railroad underpass with an overall height of 13’4”. It looks low but we take our class A motorhome under with room to spare. Proceed very slowly and watch for others, there are 2 sharp turns and then a very short single lane bridge.
All WV interstate rest areas have free dump stations.
Gravel driveway for tow vehicle parking.
There is a Walmart and Lowe’s within 4 miles. Downtown Buckhannon has quaint shops and a few really good restaurants. Also has craft beer and coffee shop.
I really thought I had written a review. My apologies. Our stay at Eichers was very good. We certainly enjoyed our chat with this friendly and welcoming host couple. Their home is lovely. We even saw deer. I recently recommended them to fellow campers (also BW hosts) whose son and daughter-in-law have recently moved to the Eichers area. Many thanks for a peaceful night and great conversation.
This was the perfect spot for an overnight stay. Friendly host and curious deer were great. Thank you so much for having us!
Our stay at EICHERS ACRES was pleasant and very accommodating. He met us and escorted us to the spot to get settled. They supplied us with water and 20 amp which may our stay nice.
Checked in to be sure everything was going well.
Easy in and out right next to the woods. Had a wonderful chat with the host before retiring for the evening. We will be back if in the area again.
Brad and Christi really went above and beyond with helping us. This was only our second time using Boondockers Welcome and it could not have gone more perfectly. Beautiful spot and a view of deer in the evenings.
The hosts were wonderful they provided electricity and filled my water tank. They were so kind and welcoming and offered suggestions for places to visit. Folks like this are what makes Boondocking such a rewarding experience.
Really nice hosts who guided me to my spot. The area itself is really beautiful and I got a good nights rest.
Sweet couple to stay with. Location by garage just great. Close to town and shopping. Enjoyed our visit to that area.
Our stay at Eicher’s Acres was excellent. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay accommodating and enjoyable. Both host were extremely friendly and we really enjoyed our time visiting. We loved that each evening we could set outside our camper and watch several deer feeding in the hay field. Less than a mile from our host was a nice launch site where we were able to put our canoe in for a morning of paddling on Buckhannon River. It’s a beautiful area to explore if you so desire. If not, Eichers Acres is also just a great place to relax. We would stop here again for sure, if in the area, and plan on keeping in touch with the host as they were such nice people.
There are times in life that meet truly beautiful people. These two are just kind, adventursum, and generous. We all had a beautiful evening with another boon dockers welcome couple as well. Looking forward to a time when our paths cross again.
Great people ,
We really appreciate this place and those people.
In this restricted period, they accepted us with kindness.
Big thanks to them.
Eicher's Acres is extremely beautiful and peaceful. Brad and Christi were warm and welcoming. I highly recommend them.
Wow, what a great Boondockers Welcome Experience! Brad & Christi are an awesome couple who, welcomed us onto there property like we were old friends. Christi greeted us when we first arrived, told us where to park and set up our rig, provided us with a 110 electrical hookup. The parking spot sits towards the back of their property, is a little steep for my backing up experience, but I was able to manage and Christi said, that I did fine and that it was good practice for me. Getting our rig level was quick and easy. Brad came by when he got home to welcomed us and told us to let him know if we needed anything at all, to just him know. He let us know that we were welcomed to walk our dog Cesar anywhere in the back area. We chatted a bit about their beautiful property, local restaurants, how to get to the local Walmart, how to get to the closest West Virginia State Park, where could do some hiking. Brad also, let us know that West Virginia Rest stops have free dumping stations. We had a wonderful stay at Brad and Christi’s place and had a great time hanging out with them for dinner & ice cream on our last night's stay. Thank you both for welcoming us and making us feel right at home! You both deserve a Five stars Rating 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for sure!
The Hosts were everything that I expected and more. They were very accommodating and welcoming. Once they found out my daughter went to WVWC they said that I could stay whenever I wanted. They offered a home cooked meal to my daughter if she ever needed. They really went above and beyond. I really look forward to spending more time there and hope they come and visit our location. What a great experience, great people.
My second time at Brad and Christi’s and I must say it has been one of my best Boondockers experience as a guest. Warm welcome, quiet place, electricity and most unique, we went out for dinner with another Boondockers guest. Memorable moments. We even sang « On the road again » from Willie Nelson while a live band was playing for us at the bar. Will go back for sure.
Brad and Christi are extremely friendly and caring hosts. Their property is very scenic and close to a nearby town. This was my first Boondockers Welcome stay and I couldn’t be happier with my stay. Hopefully I can stay with them again in the future !!
This is a beautiful spot in the rolling hills of West Virginia.
Our hosts were awesome and really looked after us. They even helped us ensure our RV was in a safer location when a tornado watch came in to effect.
Highly recommend staying here.
Very convenient location for me on my trip home. Host was very welcoming, made sure I had everything I needed. I did have to spend a little time leveling up in the gravel drive, but it worked out fine. Quiet comfortable night in a country setting. Much appreciated.
Beautiful rolling hills in WV. We were out in the quiet country but conveniently close to Buckhannon a quaint town exploding with beautiful flower arrangements all through town. Brad and Cristi were great host and enjoyable to be with. Brad let us know WV rest areas have RV dump and water available, that was a great plus for us. We hope to host them one day.
Thanks Brad & Christi for a great weekend.
Nice place, Christy came and said welcome but the rain kept us all indoors. Saw whitetail deer.
Watched the deer and animals play in the field .Had a great night sleep. Enjoyed visiting with the Host .Great Couple
We stayed at Brad and Christi’s place on a weeknight, and both were working. They took the time to make us feel welcome. Parking spot was level and Brad even offered power for us to use. We spent the evening talking about RV life, and life experiences in general. Highly recommend the stay!
Nice greetings from Christi and Brad. We had a fun talk over a glass of Chardonnay and beer.
Woke up in the morning with the lovely sound of birds signing.
Would go back anytime.
Lovely spot, lovely hosts... Wish I could have stayed longer.
We saw deer and enjoyed the quiet place to sleep
Christi was an awesome host. Great communication, wonderful set up.
