Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are in a country neighborhood with lots between 2-5 acres each. We have 2.75. Camping location is on a concrete driveway under tall oak trees in our back yard. Quiet generators only.
No Smoking.
At the end of a cup-de-sac / loop. If you have good backing skills you won't have a problem. If you don't, it may be a challenge, but not impossible. I recommend going to the left once you get to the circle. It will allow you to line up better to back in. I’m usually available to help direct.
Plenty of room in front of the RV or on the driveway.

This was an amazing first BDW stay for us! Beautiful area and spot. We haven’t been out in quite a while and I wondered how backing up would go, but it was super easy here for our little rig. Our dog Erma loved her time with their pups. Our solar battery was being questionable, so having a 15 amp cord left out for us provided peace of mind. Enjoyed having the chance to talk with our hosts a bit! Would have liked to have heard more about where their lives have taken them. Will be watching for additions to the new travel blog one of the hosts started!
Had a great stay at Brian's. He had a great setup, and he met me outside to help me back in. Great Host!
The pandemic has made meeting new people not impossible, but challenging. This is sometimes especially true with Boondockers Welcome hosts. Add thunderstorms to the mix and you get what happened to us yesterday afternoon. We were able to exchange pleasantries, pet the dogs, plug in and the rain arrived.
Our hosts have an extremely nice place to park under huge Oaks and enjoy their property, complete with fire ring and comfortable chairs or a screened in gazebo.
Regardless, we enjoyed a very quiet restful evening. Highly recommended. We’re most grateful for our time with them and hope to see them again under better circumstances.
We had a wonderful stay at Tall Oaks, a good stop not too far from Chicago, and our host was so welcoming, right from the get go. He helped us back in, shared electric, water, and lots of information about RVing. We loved his sweet dogs and spacious property and would love to come back again!
Very nice spot to stay the night. Very quiet neighborhood and pleasant setting.
Even though Brian and his family had plans to take off early, they still let us stay in their beautiful spot. Brian greeted us and helped my husband back in the drive. He offered for us to get veggies out of the garden and to use the relaxing fire pit area.
We talked gear, and got some great tips about other free camping spots. Brian's wife also was nice and came out to say hi (Even though she was busy getting ready for their trip). Would love to stay here again. We hadn't thought about it being a holiday weekend and were very grateful for a place to rest after the 7 hrs on the hwy.
Brian was very hospitable and worked to make sure our stay was great. His dog, Goldie, was super cute, well behaved, and very friendly. The property was very well landscaped in a quiet suburban community at the end of a road. The site does require a long back in, but its level and paved. I would recommend this spot to all travelers. Thanks Brian for a great stay!!
We spent a night at Tall Oaks. The site was great for our small motor home. A large fifth wheel could have a more difficult time backing in. Our night was unusual in that there was a tornado warning. Brian72 sought us out to let us know we could join them in their basement if needed. Fortunately we didn’t have to. He did have 15 amp service although our motor home would trip the breaker and we had to go without electricity. Would the neighborhood is very nice.
First I’m sorry I didn’t leave this review before! Haha My dog and I spent a few days here and boy did we love it! Beautiful location. My dog DUKE had a blast with their dog playing. Brian was so kind and even offered us electricity to keep warm. Again thank you so much for your kindness!
What a delightful location and such gracious hosts. We love it,
We would certainly recommend this location .
Brian and his family were gracious enough to let us park our camper at their location while we visited our son in Chicago. What a lovely family. Sorry we didn't have the chance to visit with them more.
Brian72 warmly welcomed us to the beautiful property. They we're very accommodating and offered we use their pavilion and other amenities they had available. Such a friendly family and they're dog was so sweet. Thanks!
Our host were wonderful and made us feel right at home at their beautiful property. Plenty of space for our RV and toad. Very peaceful night’s rest before getting back on the road. Highly recommend Tall Oaks!
Very nice and save neighborhood for a short visit. Brian and Kim give us a warm welcome on there beautiful (huge) property. Overall it was a pleasant and quiet stay and the hosts were easy to talk to, very kind and more then helpful to us. 100% recommended!
