We are on a rural property with neighbors 100' from your site. Your position will be either tucked into the trees with privacy and a view into the woods (access to 50amp). We have a second location (without electric access) more in the open that allows for a peek through the trees at the mountains in one direction about 20 acres of horse pasture in another and a distant horizon view out front. You will be in front of our house, but 100' from it. It is quiet, with beautiful night skies.
It is fairly level, but may require blocking of 4-6". $10 is requested if using the 50amp service and/or water. Electric may require an extension beyond the standard 25' cord (maybe 40' total). The fire ring is behind our house and a bit from your RV, but you are welcome to it.
Well trained pets will enjoy a space to roam around on or off leash. There is a fence along one side of the property helping to keep pets nearby. Please clean up.
Our neighbor has a dog that comes to the fence to bark. It lasts for a few minutes and then goes away. There are other farm animals around: pigs, chickens, turkeys, horses. The turkey are known to come by and visit guests.
The town of Travelers Rest has undergone a beautiful restoration. It has many eating opportunities and access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail (biking and walking) which goes all the way to downtown Greenville. There are also grocery opportunities and a Walmart about 10 minutes from home.
We would prefer no smoking.
We enjoy children!
No generators between 8pm and 9am.
We would prefer to be home when you arrive and depart. (We work 7am-5pm)
You can enjoy quietly sitting outside, but we do have neighbors close enough to be disturbed. A couple sitting in lawn chairs having a drink is no problem.
Our drive is almost 1000' of gravel road that goes over a hill. You can not see the home from the street. I navigate the drive with our 35' Class A motorhome. It can be a little bumpy, but no issue. It will likely require a 3 or 4 point turn once on the property to face back out to the street. Again, easily doable. I do it every time we use our rig.
If you have a low clearance issue, you might drag at the street. We never have, even with bike racks extending out. In addition, we have a concrete culvert at the street that you will have to cross. For that reason, weight limit is 28k pounds.
You will be able to stay hooked up or detach. If you detach, you can park in several locations on the property close to your RV.
I put "Any size" for the RV. Anything over 35' will require some careful driving.
We travel often during June and July, but feel free to give us a shout and see if we can accommodate you.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The host was wonderful, and the spot was nice and cozy. Beautiful surroundings, and the kids enjoyed seeing the neighbors animals. Would definitely recommend this place!
Travelers Rest was a perfect, quiet spot to spend the night and the hosts couldn't have been friendlier! We sat around their fire pit and shared great stories. It was uncanny how similar we were! You won't be disappointed with this great spot!
We enjoyed our short visit with RollingRagu. We arrived late in the evening and they were very gracious meeting us at the site. We didn't have a chance to converse very much but will definitely be back in the area. Would certainly recommend this location. Thanks again.
RollingRagu are a sweet sweet family with huge hearts and a beautiful property that they are more than willing to share. We requested a stay the day before, they responded quickly, invited us over, gave us choice of where to park (we chose the top of the driveway with great views), and we all chatted together until well past sundown. My only wish is that we had more time together. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful and kind family they are. Hope to cross paths with them again! <3 Thank you RollingRagu
My stay with RollingRagu confirmed that people are good and have a great heart. This family provided us with a safe place to park for a few nights. as we made our way back to our home base in NC. Social distancing prevented the type of interaction this family typically has with their guests. However, we made the most of it and they provided us with a wealth of information about the local area. We are hoping to return in the future to take advantage of the natural beauty of this area and the charming town or Traveler's Rest. A name well suited for this great Boondocking location. Thanks again and safe travels!
Even though it rained heavily during the night we stayed, our host did not hesitate to come out so that we could plug our rig. The house and the neighborhood are wonderful, with mountains, horses and no noise at night.
Great location close to the mountains. Host and family were very kind and I enjoyed talking with them about their RV'ing adventures.
Rolling Ragu went over and above to make sure that all our needs were met and beyond. Had a great time visiting and definitely feel like we made new friends on this visit and swapping stories was amazing. Their passion for RVing is contagious!!
We will DEFINITELY return, most likely in October for another visit.
We had a very pleasant stay with our new hosts. We are their first boondockers and of course their first positive review! They made us feel very welcome and we had a evening with the whole family around the table that was heart warming. There site for us to park was beautiful with a wonderful view and a beautiful morning sunrise. Boondocker do have to make a three point turn at the top of the drive which we were able to make with our two wheel drive truck and 30’ trailer but it is tight so I would advise larger rigs or those with limited experience check with the host first.
