Leave a reference for this hostWe are on the east shore of Lake Champlain. It is 2.5 miles to the nearest country store (limited groceries, gas and diesel), 10 miles to Vergennes and 20 miles to Middlebury, VT.
Just common sense.
Access is generally easiest from the north.

The Green Mountains of Vermont and the Adirondacks of NY.
The perfect getaway yet with all the amenities you would need. Gorgeous views and peaceful setting (even though they had a little construction going on which I didn't mind one bit as crews were respectful and didn't intrude). Can't thank fjaquish enough for the local recommendations to hike and dump...including marked up screenshots sent via text which helped when I got turned around and so many campsites were now closed. Hope our paths cross again either on my next time through or in MN. Happy travels!
Such a great first stay with Boondockers Welcome! We are new RVers and our host was immensely helpful and knowledgeable. Great location coming from dry camping in the Adirondacks and on our way to visit family nearby in Vermont. Would certainly stay again - thank you so much.
The area is simply magical and the property is beautiful! The owner let me walk down to see Lake Champlain and it took my breath away. They also have a level spot, 30 amp, and water if you need it and what a treat! I haven’t been plugged into 30 amp for a long time as I boondock a lot so I truly felt spoiled. The host is friendly and hospitable, they have a lovely dog, and it couldn’t have gone better. Thank you so much for letting me stay and for being part of this community!
A kind, welcoming, and generous host. Easy conversations made us feel at home and with each chat I learned something new about RVing. We left feeling as though we were leaving a friend. The location was ideal, a quiet setting coupled with a beautiful sunset over Lake Champlain, peaceful and relaxing. Thank you for your hospitality.
We could write a list of superlatives for our second(!!) stay at On the Lake: Starting with super-fabulous people, site and area. What could be better than sitting on Lake Champlain with the silhouette of the Adirondack Mountains bathed in a pink-sky sunset? Hiking, biking and kayaking punctuate restorative time and cultivating friendship. Thanks again to our stupendous hosts!
I enjoyed my stay at On The Lake. They have a beautiful vantage point of Lake Champlain and I enjoyed the view and the peacefulness walking along the shoreline. I was late in arriving, just after dark and fjaquish was understanding and helped me set up the electric, along with other helpful offerings. He even offered for me to stay an extra day which I did and told me about a wonderful hike which I did. I highly recommend a stay there and thanks again for your help!
What a great place to stay! Gorgeous views and close to so much hiking and outdoorsy stuff. Host was very helpful in ideas for activities. Would love to stay again!
Our stay at On the Lake was perfect with scenic views of the Adirondacks across the lake, including sunset while relaxing on the lakefront. We enjoyed using our inflatable kayak and walks in the neighborhood. GPS led us right there, our site was level and having electricity and water provided was a plus. We enjoyed visiting with our hosts. Don't be surprised if you see us again next year!!
We absolutely loved this spot, the views down the path are amazing! The host was very hospitable & accommodating. We planned on arriving early, but had some hiccups along the way which put us there much later than expected. The host was very understanding. Gorgeous spot on Lake Champlain which has crystal clear water. We had fun taking our blow up kayak out on the water. Highly recommend this host & location
I think the title says it all, this boondockers welcome location is located directly on Lake Champlain. Stunningly beautiful countryside, surrounded by rolling hills in mountain ranges. The hosts couldn't be more accommodating. fantastic Wi-Fi, flat level parking location, with water and 30 amp hookup on a post. Perfect in every way. One final thank you to the hosts. Casey
Although we did not get to meet our hosts, since they were traveling, they graciously allowed us to stay on their property anyway. They were extremely communicative, responsive and helpful in making sure we got set up properly with everything we needed.
This is the most beautiful property we have ever boondocked at. The house backs up to Lake Champlain, and the view from their backyard (where there is a lovely bench to sit at) is of the Adirondack Mountains.
It is a really lovely place. They allowed us to electricity and water as well.
Our host was very patient with us and our arrival time. Our spot where we hooked up was very close to the water. Short walk to get there. We used our kayaks both days and had a blast. Would definitely recommend staying here and would love to visit again.
We had a wonderful time here. The host's property was beautiful and right across the driveway to Lake Champlain where they had a bench to sit and enjoy the sunset. It was so quiet and peaceful at night. They offered us power and water and WiFi. It was a perfect base for us to attend a graduation and visit family in a nearby town. Great communication and conversation with the hosts. Highly recommended. Staying here during fall foliage would be amazing!
The hosts were friendly, generous, easy-going and helpful. The property is stunning and the surroundings are beautiful. Everything about our stay was delightful. We were comfortable and felt welcome in every moment.
Best stay ever! Level spot with 30 amp connection and very relaxing. Fjaquish was very helpful and concerned about a little problem I had with my RV. Very accommodating and hospitable. I would certainly go back there if I'm in the area again.
Thank you for everything!
Beautiful place and super friendly host.
Hope to go back another time.
Great location on Lake Champlain
Great hosts all you can ask for
This is our new favorite BD location
This was just a quick stopover for us as we made our way to the Adirondacks. Our host had a cold, and the weather was chilly, so just a quick hello/goodbye. Nice level spot with 30 amp. Would love to return in warmer weather. Beautiful place by Lake Champlain!
They are a very gracious couple. The site is level and pretty quiet. We were invited to sit with them on their patio and watch the sun go down over the lake and mountains.
This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay and it was wonderful. Fjaquish was helpful with our questions and needs. Thank you!
The view of the lake was beautiful, the atmosphere quiet, the night sky breathtaking.
We felt priviledged to stay with our gracious and friendly hosts. Great location on the east shore of Lake Champlain. Close by is the amazing Fort Ticonderoga we spent an entire day learning about the history of the fort, it's reconstruction, and the really neat story of Sarah Pell and her family - the people who iniitated fort reconstruction.
We sent a last minute stay request and fjaquish graciously accepted. They were friendly and helpful and the site was quiet and beautiful. We are thankful for their warm welcome. We recommend them highly!
A wonderful stay with these great hosts. Thanks for the great chats, tips on things to see and do in the area and hope to see you some place soon again. Cheers
