Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostOur site is quiet and out of the way. The view out your window to the west is spectacular. You can see Vancouver Island on a clear day. The most level spot to park would be by backing directly up to our shop door or towards the fence. Standard 120 volt 15 amp outlet is available. 220 volt power is available from a NEMA 6-50 type plug in the shop if you can adapt from that. Household potable water is available from a faucet on the house which is about 100 feet away from your parking spot.
We are a homestead so we have chickens and a rooster who crows occasionally. From late spring to fall we have cows in the pasture. You may be fortunate enough to see deer grazing in the pasture or peacocks visiting our property.
Off-leash pets are OK if they are well-mannered around other dogs, cats, chickens, and cows.
No smoking.
Must be able to tolerate a rooster who crows occasionally.
Don't open animal gates or fences without permission.
Take some time to just sit and enjoy the view.
We have a short driveway that is a little bit steep at the start. We've had a 28 foot trailer come up our driveway and the back bumper had wheels under it that just lightly contacted the ground. If you have a long trailer with a lot of distance between the axle and the back bumper, you may have to enter the driveway at a bit of an angle instead of straight on to make sure you don't bottom out your bumper. Approximately 13 1/2 foot height limit to fit you under a power line going across the driveway.
Tow vehicle can be parked near RV.
10 minutes from the Canadian border. Less than an hour to the Mount Baker recreation area. 45 minutes to Birch Bay.
The hosts were very welcoming. We enjoyed our chats about local trails and sites, and they were able to share a few tips with us about camping. We also loved all the animals that came and checked us out. And the sunsets and early morning views over the valley were gorgeous! We plan on making this a regular visit once things return to normal.
Washington became the 48th State for BETTY LOU & I to camp in.
I would have been very disappointed because of the border closure.
But these Hosts & their location quickly became another of my favorites.
It was definitely worth it for us to come so close, but so far!
My sincerest thanks to the Maoz. I forgot to ask what that name means.
But for me it means memories of GREAT Friends &
a wonderful outdoor "church service in the park".
Happy Trails & God Bless!
This is our second time at this host location. We joined BW a little over a year ago hoping that we would meet some friendly people along our journey. We have had nothing but good experiences and have met some really great people. These hosts fit that profile to a tee. We hope to stay in contact in the future.
Good spot with a great view. So quiet and peaceful. Side by side and with the use of power. We loved it. Thnx for having us.
Our hosts and their sweet dog Molly are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the sunsets and the peace and quiet. We’ll be visiting them again soon.
Moaz Homestead is so peaceful. Beautiful views and so quiet. We enjoyed the hosts as much as the property!
They live on a hillside overlooking the valley and the water and islands beyond.
We met the very delightful Mrs. and learned about their adventures in farming. The cows, chickens, the rooster, cats, and dog were fun to watch. I love farm animals and learned new things. The rooster and chickens paraded over to our van, then paraded back to their coop. They were so cute!
We planned to stay 2 nites but only stayed one since the mountain bike park we planned to ride at was going to be way too crowded on the weekend.
We met the very friendly Mr. the next morning. He'd been at work the day before. Both were very warm, and very engaging. We definitely will stay there again. In fact we hope to see them when they visit our area.
This was my first Boondocker stay and and it was a very positive experience. Maoz Homestead are very gracious and respectful hosts. Their hilltop property is beautiful and secluded and from my spot I had an unobstructed view to the west. It was quiet and sleep came easy. I would be happy to stay there again sometime. My thanks to Mark and Catherine.
We were overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness of these wonderful hosts. They Welcomed our “out of the box” request and made us feel like family. They are a true picture of Awesome Boon-dockers Welcome hosts. We enjoyed learning about farm/country life and had some of the best nights sleep ever at this beautiful and peaceful gem. Their homestead is unreal with beautiful views . We can’t say enough good things about them. We did receive an invitation to return and hope that we can some day meet up with these wonderful folks.
We highly recommend a stay with these wonderful hosts.
Thank you so very much for being such awesome people!
