Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are in SE Bend, Oregon in a quiet neighborhood. We have over half acre with a 12x40 pad. Taller trailers like 5th wheels are a little challenging due to trees. Reach out and we will see if we can accommodate. Its a quiet, dark and peaceful driveway setting in a sweet little neighborhood. Only 10 minutes to downtown Bend and a few minutes to the HWY for easy on/off. Flat paved road. Close to mountain bike trails, Mt. Bachelor, river, lakes, great food and beer. We welcome quiet folks to join us here!
No smoking.
No screaming kiddos please. Quiet ones are ok. Ours are all grown up!
No generators after 8pm. We have power.
No wild and viscous dogs, cats, kids. :)
Not a party scene.
Paved
Mt. Bachelor, Deschutes River, Cascade Lakes, Deschutes Brewing and dozens of great breweries. On Tap and Crux are our favorites for great food and drink.
This is a quiet, beautiful location and they welcomed us onto their property. They are great to connect with and shared information about the area. I recommend staying here!
What a great central Bend location! Friendly and helpful hosts.
Janet gave me a heads-up there was snow on her street, and in the driveway, should that be a concern. One of our hosts actually drove their van in/out of the parking area before we arrived to create easy to follow tracks to back into position.
We also had a nice chat with Greg, and we got a few recommendations for brewpubs and food carts we hadn't discovered yet.
GredAndJant (or JegAndGranet) are two of the most loving and fun people I have ever met. Authenticity and kindness abound. There really aren't words to describe them, but I will try: humor, huge hearts, fun, warm, caring, giving, loving, athletic, open, kind and most of all: friends... friends that seem more like family.
Whether you are hosting them, or they are hosting you. It will be a treat. They are two of a kind and likely a couple that will forever leave a warm place in your heart... they have mine. xoxo
oh, and their driveway is a perfect spot! level, long, and in quiet neighborhood that is very close to lots of awesomeness :-)
Quick one night stay. Easy to talk to host who greeted us with a smile and left us to our own devices. Enjoyed the plug in and watched movies on the projector to relax for the night! Thanks for having us!
We stayed 2 nights in the driveway at Adventureland with Greg & Janet in our 20ft Dodge Pop-Up camper truck. They were very accommodating and even allowed us to plug in our camper and fill up our water on the way out.
It’s in a quiet friendly neighborhood close to the Forrest and great hiking.
Greg gave us some recommendations on places to eat and an awesome Hike at Bessie Butte.
Great Hosts
We would recommend them
This was a great place to stay with very accommodating hosts. They even invited us to a social event with them! The space for your rig is in the driveway so be very careful backing in and remember there are sprinklers to your left and tree branches above you so you don’t “take anything out”. Jer and I enjoyed running in the neighborhood and getting out when it wasn’t raining for our visit. Would definitely recommend this spot as there is so much close to here in central Oregon!
Greg and Janet were awesome hosts. Gave us tips on breweries and trails to hit. Allowed us to use their 110V power and even let us top off our fresh water tank. Gave us hints on other places to hit in Oregon as well as breweries nationwide worth hitting which led to a “trading of the brews” from our travels through Canada. Would definitely stay here again.
We spent a quick overnight at GregandJanets place. Everything was just as described, peaceful and quiet. It is just a few minutes away from downtown. We enjoyed meeting our hosts and chatting as we were leaving in the morning. We would stay here again to visit Bend highlights.
Very nice hosts. Always willing to give advice on where to go and what to see. The property was great, very quiet and a perfect spot to stay. Absolutely stay here if you are in the area!
Greg and Janet were great and friendly hosts. They gave us wonderful advice about things to see, do, and eat (!) in Bend. We had a VW Eurovan camper so we were able to easily tuck into their driveway. It was peaceful and private. Great stay!
What a great place to be able to spend the night. Could not have had nicer hosts. They were so helpful to share things and place to visit around Bend. Only wish we had more time to visit.
This is a great stay for anyone coming to Bend for biking. Very knowledgeable and fun hosts, helped guide our short time in Bend.
I wasn't really sure what to expect from BW stays with hosts. In theory it all made sense so I was eager to give it a shot. I had a great experience staying with Janet and Greg. They have an easy, convenient spot to spend a few quiet, comfortable and relaxing days. They were warm and inviting, but left me to my solitude. I'm now a fan of both BW and Janet & Greg.
Adventureland Bend made us feel very welcome. They provided great advice on local attractions as well as power and a top-up for our water tank. We only wish that there had been more time for socialising.
This is a great location to enjoy Bend and have access to the city. Greg and Janet guided us to some spectacular MTB rides, delicious eats and local breweries. They have a very quiet neighborhood and we really enjoyed our visit. Thank you Greg and Janet. Hope to see you this winter in Florida again!
We had been on the road for 4 days and were looking for a quiet, no pressure stay before heading out to finish our trip. When we arrived, Greg was out raking tree debris and Janet was working. Greg welcomed us, directed us in to the parking space and showed us where to put the towed.
What a nice place, close to main highway, but peaceful and quiet. Good dog walking location and just generally exactly what we were looking for in every way.
This was my first Boondockers Welcome experience Greg and Janet may have spoiled me and raised to the bar too high! They are welcoming, wonderful people and provided more than I ever expected. As for their accommodations: I have a 28' Airstream with a Ram 2500 with an 8' bed and their driveway provided plenty of room even while connected. They live in a quiet neighborhood and again, everything far exceeded what I imagined.
Thank you Janet and Greg! I hope to see you again very soon.
We had a flat tire that morning, and didn't think we'd make it to Bend. They were so gracious and welcomed us even though we pulled in around dusk. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. 🙂
Thanks Greg & Janet for our great stay with you. Your home is a perfect location to explore all that Bend has to offer.
We parked our 31 foot Class A at Greg’s and Janet’s for one night. Greg welcomed us outside as we pulled up, and got us situated with parking, electricity and a WiFi code. We contacted them at the last minute, so unfortunately, didn’t get to spend much time with them as they were busy with other commitments. I hope our paths cross again, maybe even on the canoe trail! Thank you!
Quiet, accommodating, and overall delightful stay. Greg and Janet are wonderful and generous hosts. We were able to capture them for a couple hours to share a glass of wine, hear about their stories and gather helpful information. Can't thank them enough. We definitely want to return. Cheers
Residential setting but close by Bend for gymn/errands. Greg met me upon arrival and made 110v plug avlble to keep my lonely battery company. Morning departure temp inside 38...
Impressed with his Conversion that they just completed a 5 month journey across the states in.
Sadly declined an invite to dinner/beer as I am 4 weeks into "getting back into shape" mode.
In any case. Nice person. Appreciated the hospitality.
