Kamloops is a 3.5 hr drive from Vancouver and has all the amenities of a small town of 80.000 people. The Shuswap lakes are a major destination for summer water activities. Approx 1.5 hrs away.
There is a fully restored operational early 1900s steam locomotive in town that pulls a few refurbished passenger cars on a small tour.
Hiking trails are available both in town and surrounding areas.
Eagle point 18 Hole golf course 2 KM away.
Passing thru from Calgary to Vancouver; this was a convenient, quiet spot for the night. If heading west, use the directions provided. Google maps took us on a shortcut over a rather bumpy, washboard gravel road. This is a large lot, so there is lots of room between you and the house. After we got settled, the host drove down in his quad to say hi. This was our first time using BDW, very happy. :)
we were pretty late, but he guided us to his property and showed us the right spot for the night.
Thanks a lot!
Erv was great to chat with and made sure we had every thing we needed, nice flat site easy to get into. We had a very good experience. Thanks Erv.
Great location with good views. Erv was a bundle of information and hope to return someday.
Erv was lovely to host us overnight! We enjoyed a beautiful walk around his property while the sun set. Thanks again Erv for having us!
