We are situated on a river which is part of the Catawba River Chain - just below the Mountain Island Dam. We do have 1 dog that roams our 3 acres. Aussie Doodle - friendly. He will bark upon arrival but he is just saying hello. Friendly. Does well with other dogs and likes to play. We also have a cat that roams our property. If your dog doesn't like cats or tends to chase them, please leave them on leash. Otherwise, your dog can go off leash. We are located near the Charlotte Airport and the Whitewater Center. We are 20 minutes from downtown/uptown Charlotte, NC. Suggested Local Attractions: Whitewater Center Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens Discovery Place (downtown Charlotte and also Huntersville (for kids), NC) Different areas of Charlotte featuring many breweries and art galleries

Beautiful acreage and riverview. Great spot for dogs to let lose. Host were friendly and very imfromative. Electric hookup was a plus to keep the refrigerator operating at its peak. Make sure to follow his directions very helpful. Hope to stop back on our next trip. Sail on captian⛵️⛵️

These are amazing hosts who sat and visited with us into the evening on their riverfront dock. They were so hospitable, friendly and down to earth. We hope to stop by again on a future trip.

A truly beautiful place on an inlet of Lake Wylie. Easy access in a dead end road with a large pull through driveway. Power is available but we didn’t need it we parked in the driveway and didn’t have to unhook the car. We sat on the deck on the water and watched birds, ducks, newts and geese. This place is under a runway and lots of planes flew over. But by 10 pm it was quiet and peaceful.
