OurPlace was the perfect spot to overnight on our journey. They were beyond wonderful and very thoughtful hosts, with everything planned and prepared before our arrival - including an amazing 'campground brochure'! It was our great pleasure to stay with them for our very first BW experience! So thankful and blessed to have met them!
Great place, great hosts!! Lots of excellent information!
I already left a reference so this is redundant, but BW keeps emailing/ texting me regardless.
Loved meeting some new friends in Raymore! They were the kindest hosts! Helped us out with a ladder and a can opener! Came in and visited with us! We can’t wait to be back!
Our Place hosts are the best! Great communication. Directions were clear. He offered help on backing in, making it very easy. Electric is 20A, it ran my AC just fine if I didn't have any other appliances pulling 110a including refrigerator and hot water. Don't let the 'Hot Leg' stuff confuse you. (It scared me). Just ask if in doubt. I visited the Arboretum, Union Station, Steamboat Arabia and WW1 museums. City Market is open only on Saturday. I had a great time visiting KC and my hosts who are super wonderful! Thank you and all the BW hosts!
Peaceful place and delightful host. We were just passing through, but thoroughly enjoyed what little time we had to spend with this generous and personable host. I suspect we would have enjoyed talking for hours. I hope some day we'll have the chance to meet again!
Such a great peaceful spot in a wonderful neighborhood. The host was great! He met us at the driveway when we arrived, helped me back up and gave me some pointers since this was our very first night in our new RV.
The host was friendly and very helpful! And we were able to see many many stars in the evening when we returned from the city. It was a lovely experience!
We had the best time at Our Place! We saw frogs, fireflies and even a snake! Our hosts were very helpful giving us suggestions on what to see in the area and very accommodating. We even got to know them a little bit better sitting on their porch outside and talking about family and RVing. What a treat! Can't wait to come back!
Our Place was such an accommodating host, a knowledgeable RV (and many other areas) mentor, and a great conversationalist. Provided gray/black dump accommodation and instruction on how to perform these tasks (for our first time… we were happy not to have to do this for the first time in a more public setting with everyone watching the newbies). Great directions to and from host location. Easy access with our RAM 1500 and 22’ (27’ overall) travel trailer. We look forward to returning for a lengthier stay if we ever find ourselves in the area again.
This was a very nice place to stay.
Need to follow directions to get there.
Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel so welcome. Their communication was outstanding and also their property/ location. We highly recommend Our Place to fellow Boondocker travelers. Thanks so much for a very pleasant stay! 🏆👋👍
We had such an enjoyable time at OurPlace with hosts who couldn't have made us feel more welcome! We got to spend time in great conversation, took walks in a lovely, peaceful neighborhood, and had restful nights sleep. We look forward to returning whenever we are in the area. Thank you Our Place!!!
Stayed here on my way west and looked forward to another visit on my way east and was not disappointed. It is always such a relaxing joy to stop here.
Our hosts were super at this location! Very thorough with directions making the approach to their property easy. Nice wide driveway, simple to get in and out. Such friendly folks. We really enjoyed talking with them. Wish we had a little more time to chat but we were just passing through and there 1 night. They generously saw us off with a yummy jar of Apple Butter (hubby's favorite). Absolutely ovely people & we hope to pass through again!
Start to finish with the Our Place hosts exceeded our expectations for our first BW stay. The hosts are kind, generous, and resourceful. We slept very well in their quiet neighborhood. Looking forward to a return visit in the future. We highly recommend this host!
Just having joined “Boondockers Welcome” recently, my first stay would play a large part in my impressions of the program and plans to usr it again. And I really could not have picked better hosts to set the tone for what I hope is a long and happy membership in BOondockers Welcome
First, the location is incredible. Level gravel parking spot with all the amenities - water, electricity and wifi. Easy to get in or out. And not so close to the host residence to intrude on your privacy or theirs.
But most important of all, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating hosts. Very pet friendly with a huge yard and even a small pond for (leashed) walks with your canine companions - and an incredibly quiet and rural neighborhood for longer treks.
Perhaps the best thing to know about your hosts is that they will treat you like family and will quite literally bend over backwards to make your stay - whether just overnight or the full five-day limit - the most restful and trouble-free stop of your trip.
Genuinely a five star experience.
Had a very happy overnight stay here. Our host was amazing, spending time helping my hubby, and making us very welcome indeed.
Felt very safe, and was given all the information we could have wanted.
Would love to have stayed long, but we needed to journey North.
We would stay here again at the drop of a hat, if our travels allow.
Very grateful indeed for such a warm welcome.
used texting to communicate and merge the current day's needs for us and the host.
we had time to check the news and travel conditions so we can least impact ourselves and others.
I want to thank our host on where to fill propane and gas. the cold weather changes
has challenges for safe travel too. glad to see the warmer weather returning.
amazing how giving a little of what we actually can is of maximum benifit.
We planned on a one night stay but our host invited us to stay longer. Since weather up north where we were heading was poor, we accepted his hospitality. It was great to find a quiet and safe spot to stay, especially with the COVID-19 going on. He gave us a well done handout full of helpful information about the area. We hope to come back when in MO.
This was our fist time with Boondockers. Our host was awesome. I had the chance to spend one of our evenings with them just talking and enjoying great conversations. If you are in the area you must stop and stay. Great Host.
We were in MO during the super cold snap and doing some remote camping in single digit temps and had ALL kinds of battery/power issues. We pretty much limped into OurPlace with a list of problems and a hope that we could get them addressed in town. We could not have asked for a warmer, kinder or more helpful welcome than we received here.
This gentleman has done a lot of camping, and is super handy to boot...we were so grateful to have a "second opinion" on our diagnoses as well as info on the surrounding area to know how best to get fixed up. We were able to get everything addressed that first afternoon, which left us free to take advantage of the hosts' excellent info on things to do/see in the area over the next few days. The communication before and during our stay was detailed and timely, so helpful when so many other things were out of our control.
The spot is in a beautiful, quiet country setting with wide road and easy back into the drive. We were thankful for the advance directions to come in from a specific direction to avoid a dangerous/tight left turn. The spot is level and low to the ground for our 35' TT. With our battery issues we were very grateful to have the offer of a 20 Amp hookup which allowed us to run our microwave or coffeemaker as needed and to charge devices. Verizon cell service was excellent and our antenna picked up a bunch of local channels. Our dog loved romping in the large yard and the neighborhood was pretty for walks as well.
We are leaving here totally rested and refreshed, could not be more different from how we arrived! We very much hope our travels bring us back in this direction so we have time to visit here. Thank you so much for your incredible help and hospitality.
We had an absolute perfect night here, so quiet and the electric hook up was a plus! Great neighborhood, lots of space, and our host was so accommodating. We pull 5th wheel with enclosed trailer, Dick got cones to put by the trailer so we could just leave it on the very quiet street and hook it back up easily when we left. Dick gave a list of emergency numbers, local sites, etc. perfect directions to get to their home! Thanks Dick and Karen for making life sweet!
Sometimes in life you just meet some people that you feel touched by and so blessed to have crossed paths with. These are those kind of folk. Such good character, very fun to talk to, interesting, spirited, lively, and so many of great stories to share! We only wish we'd have had more time to spend there with them there. Pleased to call them friends, after even just a short visit.
For those thinking of staying here, it's a very comfortable and safe spot in a quiet country neighborhood. Just maybe 5 minutes to the gas station, 10 minutes to the grocery store, auto parts, and just about anything that you need.
We highly recommend them and their lovely spot.
How lucky we are to meet them, they are so precious!
They are of endless generosity and kindness, they are such sweet persons. It was a too short stay, but wonderfully enjoyable.
We will definitely be back soon.
My husband and I were traveling through Missouri to see my brother and sister in law on our way back to Florida. This location was perfect for us and these hosts were beyond welcoming! They are a wonderful couple and they have a most amazing property. There was plenty of room for our 32 ft fifth-wheel and they were gracious enough to offer us electric hookup and water for our tank. Unfortunately the weather was not so good, and we were doing a little administrative catch up, so we didn't get to spend as much time with them as we would have liked. We will DEFINITELY be staying with them again whenever we are in the area. They are wonderful, hospitable hosts! Loved this Boondocker's Welcome location!!!
This is the best place we've ever stayed at on Boondockers.
Thank you very much for letting us stay..... it was a really fun and interesting stay. This is exactly what we love about Boondockers Welcome and what we are truly going to miss when we go back to Australia - making friends that we feel we have known for years !!. We are hoping to start there as hosts and can only dream that we will be anywhere near as good as you guys are in hosting :)
Peaceful quiet and beautiful location with genuinely welcoming hosts! Our host sent very detailed directions with our rig size in mind which is a big plus, then met us out front to offer parking options. They gave us space since I was stuck inside working my day job till 5pm, and were very friendly when we were outside. Great conversations about hosting, traveling, and flying. We will definitely look them up next time we’re in the area.
Thanks for your hospitality!
Sam & Sarah
One of these days I'm going to stay there when it's not raining. Beautiful place and nice wide driveway.
We had a very pleasant stay. Host greeted us on our arrival and helped guide us on where to park. Dick was very welcoming and helpful. He made sure we had good directions coming to his well maintained property. We took a stroll around the neighborhood and left around 10am. We we're especially thankful to have safe shelter for our family if needed! Thank you for a great stay!
Very positive experience and we felt safe from the storms that were in the area by providing shelter.
Dick and karen greeted me and my furbabies and hooked me up to elec and let me use their scaffolding to clean the top outside of my camper. Karen was doing theirs when I got there. Their place was absolutely beautiful. Took nice walks and relaxed. Really nice people 😁
A fantastic location to stay! We really enjoy the peacefulness of this area and close to the city attractions. The hosts are friendly, accommodating and overall wonderful people!!! We’ll be back for sure!!
