This is a 40 ft geodesic dome on 5 acres. Fenced area to the side of the dome for the dogs. Plenty of open area. Quiet location except during hunting season when the neighbors are either practice shooting or sighting their guns. Neighbor across the road raises alpacas. We are learning, slowly, the best way to garden here. A good place to sit back and relax. Or not far from attractions. not the best during wet weather-muddy. We do also have extra 30 and 50 amp cables if needed. Suggested Local Attractions:Anything in St. Louis is not that far. Alton has a few local attractions - Robert Wadlow, Miles Davis or the Piasa Bird

House Rules
Basic considerations. We do not have children so that is not an issue but may be a downer for those with kids.Although we do enjoy most. Be kind and gentle to the dogs. Anything that we can do or help with, just ask. We can provide laundry if needed. We tend to get a large number of spam/scam phone calls so all calls that we do not recognize go to voicemail. Just start talking so that we know it is a legitimate call and if we are home, we will answer. If we do not answer, leave a message and we will try to return soonest. grey dumping usually not an issue - we can discuss if desired We do not have check-in/out times as all are adults and are not under curfew. We do ask that if you plan any wild or noisy parties that we be invited.
Location
Access Road Conditions: Paved road to the location, gravel drive into. 2 slight rises on the drive. Parking is not exactly flat, some sideways slant but is on gravel - drive thru would be onto grass. Drive is also a bit narrow for the wider rigs - they will fit. Can be rather slippery when snow and ice are present. For those concerned,I have added 2 photoes of the drive - a sat image and one down the drive, in order to give an idea of it. Thank you Linda. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: there is plenty of parking at the dome.

adventurous with an eclectic set of hobbies Details: We are both retired. Becky was a music teacher and I am a respiratory therapist, past paramedic and EMT instructor. Currently involved with our county Emergency Management Agency. We are slowly, how else do retired folks do things?, getting into the RV'ing. But I personally want a skoolie to travel in. We are both active in our church. I have travelled to many third world countries, mostly medical mission trips, and have learned that the United Methodist motto - open minds, open hearts, open doors - is a good view. Home Town: We live just outside of the BIG town of Moro, IL. It has one church and a post office. Located in the metro area of St. Louis, MO. Skills or Expertise to Share: As a ham radio operator I know some electrical and electronics. Becky is good with sewing and canning/cooking. As my hobbies cover many areas there are probably snippets of pearls hidden away

Dennis and Rebeka were very welcoming. During a Tornado alert they offered shelter in their weather resistant house. Their Bassets are adorable!
