Camp Pearl is a cabin located outside Gwinn Michigan. It is close to town, but far enough in the woods that you feel pretty remote. Only 3 cabins are on the road and the closest neighbor is a mile and a half away. Your parking would be in a secluded park like setting. You will have access to fresh water and possible household AC. The property is OFF GRID and has a robust home solar system. This is a great place to relax or to take day trips from to Marquette, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore or other sites in the area. Suggested Local Attractions:Pictured Rocks, Marquette, National Ski Hall of Fame, Marquette Mountain Ski Hill, Biking Trails, Hiking Trails, Waterfalls.

House Rules

I am fine with respectful clean campers, who leave no trace after departing. You may have me around or not, depending on the days of stay.

Location

Access Road Conditions: The access road is a single lane dirt road that is 1.5 miles long. I can take my 5th wheel in and out, but smaller RV's would be easier and less worrysome. It is certainly your choice if you have a big rig. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: The property has plenty of room to park your vehicle.

This wonderful place, tucked in lovely woods in the UP, was our first boondockers welcome experience. It was outstanding. The ripe raspberries on the walking trails were delicious. Lovely wildflowers were everywhere. Alan & Lynn’s home and yard are immaculate. They are very friendly and helpful hosts. Alan mapped out days worth of sightseeing and local cuisine for us to enjoy. Camp Pearl is an unforgettable place to stay. Thanks to Alan & Lynn We are forever grateful, Neel & Lori

Alan and Lynn are lovely hosts. Their property is gorgeous and we felt very comfortable. It was cloudy during our stay and our solar panels couldn't charge, so Alan was gracious enough to let us hook up to the generator. Thank you again for that! Unfortunately, we had to work and do laundry during our short stay, so we regret not being able to chat more with our hosts. We would have loved hearing stories of Alan's time as a radio deejay! Maybe next time!

We so enjoyed our time at Camp Pearl! Such generous and kind people and our kids adorded them! The set up is #goals for us and we learned so much from our hosts! Thank you so much! Hope to catch you in Florida! **We made it in on the gravel road with our 32 foot class c no problem. The turn in and out from the main road required a 2 point turn but it was no trouble**
