Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostCamp Pearl is a cabin located outside Gwinn Michigan. It is close to town, but far enough in the woods that you feel pretty remote. Only 3 cabins are on the road and the closest neighbor is a mile and a half away. Your parking would be in a secluded park like setting. You will have access to fresh water and possible household AC. The property is OFF GRID and has a robust home solar system. This is a great place to relax or to take day trips from to Marquette, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore or other sites in the area.
I am fine with respectful clean campers, who leave no trace after departing. You may have me around or not, depending on the days of stay.
The access road is a single lane dirt road that is 1.5 miles long. I can take my 5th wheel in and out, but smaller RV's would be easier and less worrysome. It is certainly your choice if you have a big rig.
The property has plenty of room to park your vehicle.
Pictured Rocks, Marquette, National Ski Hall of Fame, Marquette Mountain Ski Hill, Biking Trails, Hiking Trails, Waterfalls.
Dang this place it's amazing!!!! :)
The directions provided on the page are on point, the deeper we got into the woods the better the area got!!!
Arriving at the spot you are amazed by the space and the nature everywhere.
Alan and his lovely wife greeted us and help us to set up the van.
The next night we were able to do some BBQ and have some fun at the site, had wine and talk with our host.
He recommended a great pastry place in town "Must have"
Next time we are back in the Michigan UP, (Very soon) we will definitely stay at Camp Pearl
Thank you Alan for such great time!!!

We had a lovely time at Camp Pearl. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and we very much enjoyed sharing coffee and conversation in the morning during our stay. There was an abundance of space to park, trails to walk, and space for our dog to play. Our hosts had plenty of local knowledge and provided great recommendations for food and activities. We will be back for another visit.
If you're looking for peace, quiet, and hospitality, look no further. We spent many days exploring the UP at direction of the great tour guide here at camp. We learned all the great places to visit, all the best food, and history of the area. Every night and morning was spent sitting around chatting about the days events. With Not enough good things to say we're Looking forward to our next visit to camp pearl.
Our hosts were helpful from start to finish. They helped with getting our rig into the perfect spot in between the trees. We were allowed to run our generator as needed. The host was very helpful in places to visit while we were in the area. They invited us for an evening on their deck and enjoyed a bonfire with them as well. Thanks for the hospitality!
Our stay at Camp Pearl was great. Our host were very well informed on things to see and do In the area. Peaceful wooded property with trails to take during the day and starry skies at night. Would definitely like to return there for a fall visit. We feel as though we made some new friends too. Thank you
We had a short, but lovely, stay at Camp Pearl! Hosts were kind enough to offer "social hour" on their deck with low key elegant ambiance. We enjoyed visiting and learning how "Camp Pearl" came to be and what its future holds. Helpful hosts told us everything we wanted to know about the area and more, including area history. We will definitely try to visit again!
This quiet location was a bit off the main road, but easy for my Class-B RV. Host was very friendly, but allowed for plenty of privacy.
