We have a 15 acre farm, plenty of room to let kids and pets roam around.

It was quiet and peaceful. Took a long walk. Enjoyed the stars. I was offered help, privacy and conversation at all the right times. Electricity was much appreciated. May you two meet equally wonderful hosts in your travels.
We had a great time on the farm! Beautiful property, amazing hosts, and plenty of room. The pet ducks, Marty, and the chickens made our stay all the better. We enjoyed chatting with the hosts and getting to know a little more about the area.
We loved staying at the farm! When we arrived we were greeted by a welcoming party - of ducks! They were just the cutest, following us around, quacking away, hoping for food! We loved seeing the chickens and the kids loved that they were able to help collect chicken eggs too! We had to arrive a day late - so it was a shorter stay than we had expected, but it was wonderful!
The Farm is a beautiful, peaceful retreat! We needed a place to stay for a couple days while moving our daughter into a nearby college. Traveling from FL we were arriving in town ahead of schedule and our hosts offered to let us come in early and extend our stay. We were greeted by their friendly ducks and enjoyed sitting on the bench watching them play in the pond. Our dog loved running through the fields! Our hosts were so gracious and welcoming and even sent us on our way with fresh tomatoes! We feel like we've made lifelong friends and also know there's a safe place for our daughter if she ever needs anything! We'll definitely be back and hope to see them in FL when they're ready to travel in a few years.
Saved me with very quick response. Quiet with access to water fill and elec.
Garden veggies deld in am!
Thanks Steve and Stef. Appreciated your hospitality.
Steve and Stephanie couldn’t have been more accommodating. Great location, lots of fresh air and back to nature. Marty is our new favorite dog, he’s so friendly, he took afternoon naps under our RV and rushed our to meet us when we came back from an outing. Five stars for sure.
A truly unique and beautiful farm with chickens and ducks to greet you upon arrival and a classic old barn to park right next yo on a level stone driveway. The hosts are friendly and very kind and it was a pleasure meeting them and chatting about their future RVing plans.
From 1965 till 1971 I was a teenager of 13 to 19 & Green Acres was one of my favorite TV shows during those years. When I decided to request an opportunity to be a guest at "THE FARM", that old show was on mind of what to expect.
Last Monday, June 3rd when I first arrived I noticed that the paved country road in front of the house had several big & beautiful rhododendron bushes (my mother's favorites).
I arrived in the early afternoon, prior to my Hosts return from work. I parked near the door of the wonderful barn that has been well maintained. I noticed the lawn was neatly mowed & the nearby pond had 4 pairs of fully grown & noisy ducks. Also, the house & the surrounding property are very well cared for. Nothing like the "Green Acres" farm. Lol
Over the next several days I found out how friendly & gracious this family is. They gave me a fun tour of the wonderful maintained acreage near their home and I also watched them feed the well behaved pet ducks & chickens. Lol.
On 2 evenings we even enjoyed a campfire along w our conversation & I was gifted w a dozen of fresh eggs. I was also invited to return.
During my visit there, I drove the ~35 miles to Hartford to visit the Connecticut State Capital Building. Wow, this museum of a Statehouse is incredible to tour. One of my favorites that I have ever seen. I highly recommend this free tour.
Yes, I arrived expecting "Green Acres" but I felt so fortunate to discover so "MUCH MORE".
If you pass up on the opportunity to visit "THE FARM", I think it may be a big mistake.
Thank you Sgsnowhiker23 for giving me one of my favorite BW experiences of my past 25.
Sincerely & very appreciative,
Beautiful, peaceful, quiet setting. The rhododendrons were in full bloom and the layers of rock foundation on their historic barn is a testament to the skill of early settlers . We were entertained by the ducks, chickens, and swallows. We enjoyed the patio and had a nice visit with our hosts. At their suggestion, we made a visit to Mystic Harbor on the coast and had a great lunch.
This was our first experience with Boondockers Welcome and what a wonderful experience it was. Steve and Steph were excellent hosts. Their "Farm" is absolutely gorgeous. The ducks greeted us upon our arrival and the chickens were nearby. Unfortunately due to the rain we weren't able to take a full tour but we did appreciate the highlights. Definitely would recommend this as a quiet, peaceful stop over.
Had a wonderful nights stay at the Farm. A great evening chatting around the fire. Very helpful and gracious hosts.
Steve and Steph were the perfect hosts. Their property is so beautiful in a rural area complete with rolling hills, streams, fishing, old barn and ducks and chickens. Their four kids were around the age of our son, they all had so much fun together playing baseball, football, roasting marshmallows and watching movies. Even though the weather was a bit cold, Steve made a giant bonfire so we all sat around telling stories, eating hotdogs and listening to his fantastic playlists. Thanks for everything guys, hope our paths cross again!
