We are about 3 miles West of Black River Falls, just over 4 miles from I-94. The location is secure and quiet with excellent views and privacy. The spot for RV parking with hookups is at the side of the garage. It is appropriate for a class B, B+, small class C, or a truck camper. But any type of towed rig will be hard to get turned around. The hook ups for water and electric are close together and easily reachable. There is a light with an outdoor switch for night time use in that area if needed. Internet access is available but upload speeds are very slow. Cellular data on Verizon works from here. Not sure about other networks. There is a wall mounted vacuum cleaner right by the other hookups. It has a 30 foot hose and you are welcome to use it on your RV if you want. Suggested Local Attractions:The Lunda Community Center is the latest major community improvement. It has an indoor pool with limited water park features. Also at Lunda there is a senior center, a physical fitness room, and an indoor walking track. You can purchase day passes. It is impressive for a community of this size. There is a paved walking trail that winds around the city. One point of access for the trail is the large community park right next to the Lunda Center. The park has an outdoor pool with slides, picnic areas, playground, shelters, and skate park. There also is the Skyline Golf Course (18 hole) with a very nice club house with a bar and grill. Again it is impressive for a community this size. The Ho-Chunk Casino is located on the east side of Black River Falls. Wazee Lake is known for excellent scuba diving. We have local medical, dental, and optometric practices. There is an excellent local hospital. There is a local Walmart, and a Theisen’s Farm Store.

Common sense and common courtesy. No activity that is bad for yourself and/or for others. (Alcohol, drugs, smoking, gun toting). Keep your firearms locked up. Suggested reading: Carlo Cipolla's 5 laws of stupidity. Make intelligent choices as he defined them. Politics: We are independent and do not claim to be members of any particular political party. But I will say that we find ourselves to be more and more repulsed by and disgusted with Republicanism and the Republican party. If you are any of the following: Fox or other extreme MAGA news addicted, racist, white supremacist, misogynistic, anti-women's health autonomy, anti-right-to-vote, anti-democracy, anti-Ukraine, climate science denying, NRA supporting, insurrectionist supporting, hyper-religious or Evangelical, and/or a worshiper of a narcissistic psychopathic compulsive lying and dumb as a box of rocks criminal orange buffoon man baby wanna-be fascist dictator who is a massive embarrassment to himself and to the country, this isn't the place for you! host Profile

Hosted By Bruce_and_Barb

Age:

65+

We are recently retired and are working on sustainability and resilience. Details: Bruce is a retired optometrist who enjoys wide ranging hobbies and activities including ham radio, tractor restoration, wood turning, gardening, investing, and in general country living. Barb is a retired social worker who enjoys crafts, family activities, and travel. Home Town: Black River Falls, Wisconsin Favorite Boondocking Locations: None yet. We were just about to get started and along came COVID. Our rig is a Winnebago revel and we do get to use it quite a bit for things besides camping. With its flexible design and compact size we were able to replace 3 vehicles with just 1. Well almost. We do use a trailer with the Revel at times. Gone are the large RV, the pickup truck and the SUV. Skills or Expertise to Share: Bruce is comfortable with almost any hands on project whether it involves mechanics, electronics, or fabrication, He has a workshop that is fairly well equipped for wood and metal work. He has been involved in tractor restoration, wood turning, CAD, 3D printing, gardening, and use of a small sawmill. He also is a ham radio operator (when time permits). He is active in managing investments which is a continuous learning process. Barb does various crafts including sewing and jewelry making. She is getting started with weaving. Both are interested in alternative energy, self reliance, resilience, and sustainable living practices.

Bruce sent great instructions on where to park and came out to say hello and make sure I was comfortable for the night. He even shared with me his art which I'll always be so grateful for 🙏💕 Thank you Bruce!!!

We needed a stop as we passed through the area. Oak Hill Farm was a great spot. Beautiful views and gracious hosts. We’re hoping that they travel our way and we can host them.
