Quiet part of town, grocery store close by. 20 Min to Sydney for more shopping and amenities. Short walk to ocean.
Prefer generators off at night. (after 10pm)
On the street, or beside the shed on the property.
Glace bay miner's museum, Louisburg light house and fort, hiking trails close by.
I found the Arpadszinegh's to be a very friendly & hospitable couple.
It was my true pleasure to visit w them for 4 days & I would enjoy meeting them again.
I especially enjoyed the campfire w several of their cordial neighbors.
We enjoyed tellin old jokes, talking politics of across our borders.
And even s'mores. It had been a longtime since I had one of them.
Arpad even helped me by repairing one of my RV window screens.
From their location I did a lot of exploration of most of Cape Breton,
including The Fortress of Louisburg & The Cabot Trail which I drove on my final day there.
It took me ~8 hours of sometime nail biting steep hills that my 20yr old
gas V10 motorhome struggled on. But all ended up well!
But that time also included a very nice Live Lobster dinner at the Lobster Galley Restaurant.
Thank you my Cape Breton Friends! You are great!
Oh my goodness., love, love love these people. We had lots of laughs around the campfire, exchanging adventures. We hope out paths cross someday.
Arpad and Gabi are the best! We had a great time visiting them. Gabi met us when we arrived and gave us a freshly baked loaf of cheese and beer bread. Still hot from the oven! Delicious! We exchanged many stories of our travels and I must say they are way more adventurous than us. If you get the chance to meet them you’ll know why! On our second night there we had a camp fire and Rickey and Rita from next door joined us. We had a great time swapping stories and we thoroughly enjoyed the company. We hope to stay with them again next year when we go to Newfoundland and hopefully we can all get together around the fire again. Cheers Arpad, Gabi and Rickey and Rita. You really are great people!
Gabi and Arpads couldn't have been more welcoming, up on arrival we drank great coffee, eat home made muffins from the neighbor and Gabi baked us an amazing cinnamon loaf to take with us.
They're true travellers with so many great stories to share, we could have hung out with them for days but sadly weather conditions meant we got the ferry the following day.
Can't thank these guys enough, our rig was 55 ft, we contacted them last minute, stopped one night and we had a 2 yr old in tow but they still treat us old friends and seemed very happy to help out.
First time using Boondockers welcome for me, and meeting people like this is exactly what i was hoping for.
All the best

We got some good information about traveling in BC and Yukon from very experience travelers.
It was nice to be on their property.
