We are located on a tidal river about 5 miles inland from Portsmouth NH and Interstate 95. The boondocking site is the right hand side of our driveway. The maximum total length of your rig CANNOT exceed 35 feet. Thats camper plus tow vehicle. There is no other parking. The driveway is pitched so you most likely will need a couple inches of leveling blocks. The electric connection is a standard 15 amp household electric circuit so RV AC may overload the circuit. I hope to upgrade that to a 30 amp soon. Our rear yard is river front and is totally fenced in so the dogs can be off leash. We ask you pick after your pet. You can sit by the campfire looking at the river and also use the screen house to avoid the bugs in the evening. Suggested Local Attractions:Dover; Woodman Institute, NH Childrens museum, Patty B's Italian restaurant Portsmouth NH; museums , seafood restaurants, waterfront parks Great stop off on your way to the white mountains of NH or the coast of Maine If the tide is right we can take you kayaking on our river. See Great Blue herons, deer, Bald Eagles, and if your lucky a black bear.

Location

Access Road Conditions: Our street is a small dead end neighborhood of 12 homes. There is a turnaround at the end but it has trees overhanging. Its a fairly tight back into the site as the public road is narrow. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: With your camper. The camping spot is our driveway. The maximum length for camper and vehicle is 34 feet. In our sloped driveway you will need 6 to 8 inches of blocks to level your camper front to back. I have made heavy duty wood ramps which you can use.

“If your not living on the edge your taking up to much damn space!” Details: We are a moderately active outdoor loving couple that love sharing our little slice of NH with others. When we get away we enjoy traveling to new places and camping in our teardrop camper. Jackie is retired from the health profession as an occupational therapist and now spends her time kayaking and tending gardens. Her own, clients, and works the spring rush at a local garden center. Richard is a retired REALTOR and former owner of a retail mailing and shipping store in Durham NH. His retirement gig is being a part time (15 hours/week) bus driver on the University of NH campus during the school year. We enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding on the tidal river which we have frontage on. Our idea of relaxing is a campfire overlooking the river with a glass of wine. In 2024 we will celebrate our 45th anniversary. Home Town: We live in Dover NH which is on the seacoast of NH about 5 miles inland from Portsmouth and Interstate 95. Richard is a NH native from Dublin NH and Jackie is originally from Westwood Mass. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Here in the east boondocking locations are scarce. That is why this site is so helpful. Especially to us with small campers. Most of our camping is done in the NH, VT, and Maine state parks and National Forest sites. Those are the types of locations we enjoy. We do do some boondocking at music festivals that provide field camping in the New England area. Now retired we are planing on some longer trips. Skills or Expertise to Share: Richard is pretty handy at fixing most anything mechanical but not electrical. Being totally color blind he cant tell green wires from red wires. Makes for some interesting sparks! Jackie's training as an OT and hand therapist helps her diagnose and fix aches and pains. She is also an amazing gardener. Richard digs holes and moves plants and bushes where he is told to.

We stayed 4 nights at this awesome getaway. Hosts were very welcoming and shared use of their picturesque backyard. They had 2 dogs, one of which became best buds with ours. Also, ask about the local seafood taco night! $3 margs and fish tacos only minutes away, where we met up with hosts for some great chatting at the bar. Another perfect stay with great hosts! thanks again!

We stayed 2 nights in Richard’s parking and we really enjoyed our stay. There were ramps to level our camper and electricity available upon our arrival. Richard and Jackie are really kind and attentioned hosts. We shared coffee in the morning by the riverside in their awesome backyard. We totally recommand their place and will be happy to meet them again or to host them in our hometown! Thanks again!
