Newton was known as the home of the Maytag Appliances. Now it’s the Iowa Speedway ..Newton has two BikeTrails 🚴🏼♀️ Restaurants, Grocery Stores and two GREAT! Coffee Shops ☕️
We pulled in just as, in our opinion, a pretty bad storm was hitting. Our gracious host in the pouring rain and whipping wind made sure we were set up and safe. Thank you! 🙏
Moore Farms have a variety of spots for guests with & without hookups. They are quick to communicate & friendly upon arrival. Recommend a visit here.
DennyNancy IA farmstead is exactly as advertised, many level spots, electric hookups (we politely declined use), perennial gardens, night sky viewing, etc. Hosts are friendly & communicate promptly.
We had the most wonderful three nights at Moore farm. The privacy, peace and quiet were more than we could have asked for. We were welcomed by our hosts and made to feel immediately at home. If you have time there is a great rail trail nearby. And be sure to go to the Maytag Farm for some great cheese.
This is a place that fills me with happiness. I grew up in the countryside. I am very nostalgic and yearning for this kind of life. Danny and Nancy took care of us like family members. I also photographed the magnificent scene of soybean harvest. Thanks again to my host, I will come back if I have a chance.
We loved the quiet rural setting of the farm. Denny and Nancy were great hosts. We loved the starry night sky. Highly recommended.
A nice quiet place. Denny and Nancy were very nice. We had a nice visit and talked about different places to camp and to go. Showed me a place to hook up and offered water if I needed it. I would stay there again and would highly recommend to others to stay there.
Nice quiet location. Hosts were very pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommend this location if you’re in the area. We stayed the third week of September weather was 45/55 night 75/85 day, sunny with a breeze. Thank you!
D&N were excellent hosts. So welcoming and friendly! We really enjoyed chatting with them & taking in the beautiful surroundings of their property. To our delight, we also got to meet their pup who was just the sweetest. Would highly recommend and we'd love to stop through again if we're in the area.
What a beautiful farm! Our gracious hosts met us in the driveway to guide us to our spot. I enjoyed the invitation to walk about the property. The flower gardens are beautiful & the cadence of the crickets, soothing.
Perfect stopping spot with drive through parking for the night! Were greeted by the hosts as we arrived and directed to a nice location beside a beam field under the shadow of several huge silos. Enjoyed visiting for a short while before hosts left us so we could get set up. We than left on a 4 hour tour of the area to witness the devastation wrought by the terrible wind storm suffered a couple weeks prior so did not get to spend more time with visiting with our gracious hosts. Would highly recommend and invite them to stay at our location any time as well!
First time to Iowa, extremely gracious hosts. Caught in a summer storm and package delivery was delayed. Hosts were kind enough to extend my stay in the midst of trying to deal with storm damage. Beautiful home in farming country. Would definitely revisit if traveling through Iowa again.
What an awesome place to stay with great hosts and beautiful grounds! Level, private and quiet. Enjoyed learning about their family farm and sharing RV info.
Denny and Nancy are great hosts. We had a great time there and enjoyed some good conversation. So peaceful and quiet.
Thanks so much for another fabulous time at your farm. We and the dogs enjoyed All of our adventures! It was also great being so close to Rock Creek to go Kayaking. Thanks again 😊
Denny and Nancy met us upon arrival, showed us where to park and hook up to the 30 Amp power, then helped me with getting water to fill a few jugs. These folks are great, we talked about places we have both camped, like Quartzsite AZ, and we felt right at home immediately. The farm was super quiet, the parking spot was level and the hosts were super friendly. We had a wonderful stay and would go back in a minute. And their little dog is adorable!
We enjoyed our two nights at Moore Farm. Our host met us at the end of the drive when we pulled up and guided us around the barns and silos to a level gravel drive with a great view of the soybeans to the South. We appreciated the power hookup to help in the evenings in the heat. While in the area we enjoyed visiting Pella, a little over a half and hour south. At night the fireflies put on an amazing show for us over the fields and the kids enjoyed chasing them around. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Very gracious and personable hosts. Welcome at our place any time.
The Moore's were wonderful hosts and have a great location to stay and relax. During our stay (shutdown for Covid still mostly in effect) we just stayed close by and walked their property or went on some local walking trails. But the quiet and beauty of the setting was perfect for us. Will definitely return when we can visit some of the attractions in nearby Newton. Thanks so much for a truly relaxing stay.
This was a great stop for us just off the highway. Denny and Nancy were very welcoming and met us upon arrival. Our kids enjoyed exploring the farm and we got some much needed rest. Great place
My hosts were so accommodating. It was wonderful to feel safe in this quiet, pristine farm land. While we didn’t get to talk much, my evening in Newton was memorable. Thank you For your hospitality!
Thank you for letting us stay on your gorgeous farm. We experienced all kinds of weather! We had snow, cold temps and some pretty windy days - but all the while we were safe on your property. Thank you so much for everything!
Denny and Nancy were very kind and considerate hosts. 30 amp electricity was available very close to the driveway. Water was available if we wanted it. Their little dog was adorable. I loved seeing Nancy's Whimsical garden and hope to return some time in the summer to see it in all its grandeur.
Their family who Farm the surrounding land we're very kind and considerate to my son and I as we asked a million questions about the Harvest. My son was incredibly excited to get to ride not in one combine but too, as well as the tractor pulling the grain wagon. He got to learn about both the Corn Harvest and soybean Harvest. We are very thankful to these kind farmers who took the time to teach little boy about for me. Some of the best homeschool possible. Highly recommend this host
Both hosts warmly welcomed me upon my arrival. We visited briefly, enjoyable even in the cold wind! They are gracious, warm, and generous. Highly recommend.
They welcomed me warmly with clear directions on where to park and plug in for electric if I wanted. A nice visit even in the chilling wind! Very gracious people and so glad for a safe place to stay the night. Highly recommend.
Private location be side the corn fields. Artistic setting. We enjoyed a wonderful sunset. We where warmly welcomed and had an engaging conversation with your hosts.
Travelling on Interstate 80, the Moore farm was very convenient for an overnight, peaceful stay right next to a large corn field with the use of a 30A connection. The hosts are very sympathetic and showed us around and we had great conversations on travels current and future. Compared to other campings along highway 80, this was so very quiet. Not a sound to be heard. We had a great night. Thank you so much, we really appreciated.
The Moore farm is a mile or so off the highway on a gravel country road but it is well maintained and an easy drive. The farm site itself is a cluster of buildings and silos adjacent to the house with plenty of room and lush, beautiful landscaping. The owner(s) were very gracious and friendly and even offered 30amp service and tank hookup if we wanted it. We were just stopping overnight so weren't expecting or needing any additional services but it will probably be handy for some. Would recommend.
Very peaceful - great for star gazing and also a bonus is the nice grass area for the pups to run around. Thank you very much for such an awesome stay at your Farm.
Thanks, Denny and Nancy for your warm welcome. It was great to have electric last night and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It’s fun to share travel information and photos. Have fun planning your trip to Alaska !!
Tailwinds, J&M
Thank you so much for letting us hang out here at your farm! It’s the perfect quiet spot to park our rig and the dogs just loved being able to run around in the grass. You guys are truly the best 😀. Thanks so much.
WE all had a great time at your place! The girls loved the farm area and the pool! This was our second visit and the Moore's are fantastic hosts!! Thank you!
Very quiet, beauftiful private setting with wonderful hosts. We were even able to spend a second night. Peaceful site sorrounded by cornfields. Some shade from the outbuildings and silos. 30Amp service was welcome so that we could run the ac in the heat. We would highly recommend this BW host if you are traveling in the area.
Thankyou again to DennyNancy for letting us stay over nite at their lovely home. We had a quiet, comfortable night’s sleep and it was fun for us to be camped near the corn field and farm buildings. I would not hesitate to stay there again and we enjoyed meeting DennyNancy...very nice people. 👍🏻😊
We only stayed for one night but it was memorable. We were greeted very warmly and enjoyed chatting before we settled in to a nice level spot. We watched a storm roll over us then saw a double rainbow. After the sun set we watched the fireflies flying over the corn rows. It was so peaceful and quiet! We live in the city and may return just for the beauty and quiet!
Awesome place and awesome hosts. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful stay with Denny and Nancy. The farm was beautiful and peaceful, and Denny and Nancy were wonderful. We did some sightseeing while we were there in Newton and in the neighboring towns. We hope to swing by again! Thanks Again!
We booked a two night stay with Dennis and Nancy but left after only a few hours due to severe weather arriving before day break. Very sad for us because they are a lovely couple and people we would have liked to spend more time with. We highly recommend their boondock, you won't regret it! Thanks Dennis and Nancy - until our next opportunity.
They were there to greet us when we arrived. They pointed us where to park and had a nice level spot on the south side of the buildings. The corn that was planted was 3-4" high and made for a nice border to their farmstead. Easy out the next day.
Enjoyed a quiet stay at the Moore Farm. Parking was on a level spot next to farm buildings that offered protection from the spring winds. Nancy met us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed for the stay. Hope we are able to meet up again sometime when the weather is more favorable.
The Moore Farm was perfect! Denny and Nancy greeted us with a warm, midwestern welcome. The hookup was easily accessible with plenty of room to move about. We’d definitely like to return.
It was a very nice quiet stay. The hosts are friendly and considerate. The place is quiet and still withing a 20 minute drive of groceries, laundry, and auto parts. Very nice visit. :)
