We have a small house off the mainstreet of town. The yard is nice sized with a huge tree for cover. The gazebo and fire ring is welcome for use. Technically we’re in the borough and you are required to be cooking food for a fire. They are pretty relaxed about it, but please be respectful that we are in town and have lots of neighbors.
-Please be respectful and talk to my grandma that lives there. She loves meeting new people.
-Quite is a town rule after 10pm. You’re welcome to still be outside at the fire pit, but keep the noise to a minimum.
-Smoking is allowed but not close to the house. Either use the driveway or end of the yard.
-There is a trash can beside the house. Absolutely no garbage (even food waste) is to be left anywhere else. If you see someone else’s garbage, please pick it up.
-Dogs must be on a leash at all times if outside your vehicle.
On a paved road. Spot is gravel, sometimes muddy. Back yard parking available when it’s dry out.
We travel a lot so we may not always be home. My grandma lives there all the time and we have family right across the street. If you seem nice and courteous you’re welcome to stay when we’re not all home.
There is a great local pizza place called Glasstown Pizzeria around the corner. On the other side of town there is a great playground for kids and an art school with a beautiful gallery. There is an abandoned clayplant right out of town for the adventurous types and a beautiful rail trail with a swinging bridge swimming spot.
