This is small town Georgia. If you are looking for a quiet place to hunker down for a few days this could be the place.
Atlanta is two hours West and Augusta is 25 Miles East. You can hear the train as it goes through Boneville, GA.
We also have the best well water in the world. You will want to fill your fresh water tank and take some containers along to drink.
Any pet welcome. There are about 6 feral cats on the property, don't shoot them or let your dog chase them please. Pet the cats all you want if you can catch one.
No cigarette butts on the ground. Dogs on leash, there are cats on the property.
All roads leading to Hillhaven are paved and well marked.

The Lewis Family Homestead, Lincolnton, GA About 30 miles
Lovely shade spot to camp. Had good water and electricity. Can’t ask for more than that. Grateful for the evening chats and recommendations.
Would definitely stay again.
Sending hugs to you both and little Rosie. 💜🐾
We stayed two nights at this site.. enjoyed the evening sitting and chatting. Found out we have good friends in common from Michigan and have shared experiences at a Boondockers location in Arizona!! What a small world! Can’t say enough about these great people.. looking forward to staying here again!!
Great hosts, nice location. It's a chill spot in rural Georgia to hang out and visit with the two hosts. They invited me to a bbq at the lake with the family. 🙂
Even though our gracious hosts weren't home to greet us, they welcomed us via messages and provided detailed directions to their home, including advice to ignore our GPS because of a dangerous railroad crossing! Our wooded site was level and electricity/water were available. We met another guest camper who was also new to RVing, which was delightful. A very positive first experience with Boondockers Welcome!
The hosts were away at the time of my visit. But we’re very accommodating with phone calls and texts. From talking to them they seem extremely nice. They were able to provide electric and water hook up which was also much appreciated. Would definitely stay again.
Put this stop on your list if you get to Georgia. What amazing hosts that engage and interact with their guests. Beautiful wooded property covered with gardens and flowers and so much to see. There is a quaint little family run restaurant right down the road and an awesome fish hatchery 2 miles away with miles of trails and roads for hiking and biking. Thank you for having us and for the amazing hospitality.
Hill Haven stay
We pulled in to our very first Boondockers Welcome site and after greeting the hosts we backed it our spot. We had 30amp electric and water hookups available. After getting situated, our hosts invited us to a social get together on their front porch. It was great to meet new friends and to get to know this couple. They are very warm and caring. In the morning, our hostess greeted us with warm cinnamon rolls and The host helped us reach our water tank with an extension hose. As we got packed up to leave, we reflected on what a terrific peaceful stay we had at Hill Haven and what great people The hosts are. It was an amazing experience for these two new members!
The hosts were so warm and welcoming. Their place is so relaxing, just what we wanted. We really enjoyed getting to know them. The hostess even brought us wonderful, fresh baked, pastry. We look forward to visiting again!
We were welcomed with excellent directions and hospitality. Loved chatting with the hosts ..awesome stories.. relaxed on the porch swing. Peaceful sleep. Can’t wait to visit again.
Hill Haven turned out to be WAY out of our way but we went anyway so as to not bail after they already accepted our last minute request to stay. Boy am I glad we stuck to our commitment! They are super nice, easy to talk to and the property is beautiful. We ABSOLUTELY would go out of our way to stop again.
They were waiting to greet us. We instantly felt like we had found some long lost friends. Showed us where to park and brought extension cords to hook up to us and offered to hook up water. Then had us to the front porch to visit and later had a campfire with snacks. We felt like we were home. You don’t get better than these folks.
This was the first stop of a long trip and first time with Boondockers. Her house were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a very good experience with them. Will try to visit with them again
This was a great stop for us. Water and electric provided and very level. Our hosts could not have been nicer. I look forward to returning for another stay when there is no virus so we could spend more time with them talking about whatever.
Great two day stay in Georgia.
Level sites with plenty of space. Shared one night with a fellow Boondocker at the property.
Easy in and out.
Thanks for letting us stay with you.
Jvickrey is awesome. Even when they aren’t there, they allow you to stay. That’s showing faith in humankind. He even checked to see if our trip was going ok as we were traveling. He gave us great directions to his place and let us know that there were other Boondockers there as well. I hope people help make his travels as enjoyable as he makes others!
We spent 2 nights at Hill Haven and had a wonderful time. Our hosts were super gracious and full of information about the area and we were even more surprised that we had both lived in the same area years ago. It was like meeting long lost friends while on the road. We definitely will come back again if in the area. And we look forward to seeing each other down the road.
We stayed here for a night while traveling through the area. Host was away, but thanks to his great communication we had no problem finding the spot. Great to have water and power, too. Thanks so much!
We had a very easy, quiet and peaceful night. It was only an overnight stay but would have no problem going back and staying longer. They were so wonderful to allow us to stay even though they were out of town.
JVickrey was not home but graciously allowed us to stay on his property. Sent directions that were spot on. Easy spot to back into and water and electric.
Thanks for making our trip south safer and.easier.
We were welcomed by a pretty gray kitty as we drove in. We didn't get to spend a lot of time at the location since we were in the area for a death in our family. We really appreciated being able to stay even though our host was away. I don't know many people that do that.
Jvickrey, perfect directions averting a train crossing. Delicious well water and a warm fall chat on the front porch. A perfect ending to a Georgia autumn day. Make this a scheduled stop.
What great host these people are! We’ve stayed at a lot of Boondocker host over the last 3 years and jvickrey ranks right up there as one of our most pleasant stays. They welcomed us as we drove in, gave us a great location to setup our home, included us in great conversation, and helped us get our filthy awning cleaner than is has been since it was brand new. We’d only scheduled 2 days but left with an open invitation to stop back whenever. They truly live up to the Boondocker vision and we’re glad to have had the pleasure to get to know them if only for a short time. Thank you jvickrey.
‘Jvickrey’ are wonderful hosts. We got such a warm greeting upon our arrival. We enjoyed great conversation on their outdoor porch. The neighborhood is nature full. We were surrounded by trees and tweeting birds. It was a quick overnight stay for us but it couldn’t have been more pleasant. Thanks J & L ;-)
Jvickrey hosted us last night even though they were out of town. How awesome is that?! What a sweet little spot we had, including water and electric. Woodsy and charming, even though we just crashed, we enjoyed the trees and the little welcome sign. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet, but hopefully we will pass that way again. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We would highly recommend a visit to Hill Haven!
Nicest couple in the world they invited me to great conversation on the porch at nights, aired up the tires on my RV, invited me to do my laundry in their home. Very peaceful atmosphere. Cat lover like me. I would recommend a stay there to everyone. Makes you feel very welcome. I am so grateful for their hospitality.
jvickrey's place is just awesome, no other way to put it. large drive which was easy to enter, 30 amp and water, shade, beautiful surroundings.....just great! Room to walk the dog enough to tire her out and me and lovely area. the host is exceptionally kind and friendly and we have enjoyed talking about everything. We are here in late July and it is Georgia so it is hot! but we're from south alabama so not any different just be ready. So grateful for such a nice spot to spend the night while on our way north, thanks.
Very nice one night stay with very nice host & hostess @ Hill Haven.Very peaceful night’s rest & a great last stop on 17 day road trip only two hours from home.
Thanks again for the”Kaolin” well water & may check out the Laurel & Hardy Museum on next trip thru area.
We completely enjoyed our time here. The conversation referred to as "social porch time" was an ultimate do not miss every evening event. They are a good source of information for those traveling in a bus. We came away from their place with many good points to apply toward our RV life. Wanted to give them a hug as we left but that stinkin covid19 kept us at arms length.
We would definitely stay there again! Very easy in and out for our rig. Very helpful folks.
We appreciated their willingness to host us on short notice. We enjoyed talking with fellow animal lovers about our pets.
We hope to see y’all again when we’re passing through the area.
Very welcoming host. Invited to visit on their front porch we really enjoyed our conversation about our travels. This was our first Boondockers stay, we really enjoyed it and look forward to many more. Great experience.
We truly enjoyed our stay! Great location and easy to get to...hope to return!!!
We stayed for three days off to the side on the drive facing a wooded area. It was easy to get there and within about five miles to stores and.restauramts. We appreciate the hospitality, especially during this time of campground closings.
Our host was unable to be home due to an unavoidable issue, but allowed us to stay anyway. Directions were spot on and the hookups were easy to find. Because of their generosity we were able to enjoy a couple of nearby sites we were looking forward to visiting.
Even though the guess we're not at home they gave me excellent directions on how to get to that lovely shaded well service area
This is my 2nd time staying at Hill Haven.
It was a peaceful restful night.
Thanks for the hospitality again!!
We stay for just one night. The hosts were absents but we met them in our last trip. Perfect place to enjoy the nature.
Thank you for your hospitality.
Hope they'll be home in a next trip to have the chance to discuss with them.

I actually came a day late because of a family emergency. That was no problem at all. They said just come.
They are the sweetest, kindest couple. Was told to make myself at home. Enjoy their wonderful well water and electric.
Had a very quiet, peaceful night.
We discussed all things Florida and I learned so much from their many years of experience.
Hosts where very fun to hang out with on their porch. If you are lucky you will get a bus tour like I did. They even made me a breakfast sandwich and hashbrowns and I joined them for breakfast on their porch! Fun to hear their stories, and they were most helpful giving me info of cool places to boondock in Florida.
Easy access, level spots, Electric available.
I had 2 bars of Verizon LTE.
Oh, and I filled 4 gallon jugs with their good tasting well water before I left.
I would definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity.
Wonderful host! Even made us cookies!!! We had to leave when we got a call and didn’t get to say goodbye in person! But they were fabulous. Very comfortable and quiet!
We had a very peaceful overnight stay in a beautiful rural setting. Our hosts were very welcoming and we especially enjoyed the friendly conversation. We recommend this location to anyone lucky enough to stay there.
A great place to stay, thanks for letting us look through you RV as we found it interesting as we have also converted buses into RV's
Our hosts went from Georgia to Florida, we went from Florida to Georgia. Thank you for opening your home even though you were traveling. Your grandson Chandler was a great host. Your site was excellent. You have obviously invested some time and money to make you guests welcome and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting your other guests from New Zealand. This was our first night camping in 13 years and as a Boondockers Welcome guest. We could not have been more fortunate than to have chosen you. Thanks again.
Very nice quiet location with great directions! Plus, we enjoyed hangin’ with our hosts and we love cats!
This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay, and it was great! Our host gave detailed directions that were spot on and avoided potential issues with other routes. We arrived later than expected, but that was not a problem. We had no trouble getting our 36' class a & toad parked and hooked up to power/water.
We spent much of the following morning chatting, swapping stories & letting kids play. Our stay was enjoyable & we'd highly recommend Hill Haven.
Staying with these two is like staying with old friends that you just met. This is our second BW experience and both have been excellent A high standard for future BW stops. We expect John and Lois to stay with us when they visit PA in their Roadtrek this fall. Our ATT hotspot worked fine at this location. Easy access to parking location..
What a nice place with those greats hosts.
They were very kind with us and we had a lot of nice conversations. It's like if we knew each other since many years. Real nice persons.
We enjoy our two days staying at this place.
Thanks again for your hospitality.

John and Lois were wonderful hosts, making us feel really at home. We had a great "International night" with a family from Luxembourg. Sharing stories about the love of travel with wonderful hosts is what Boon docking is all about. Hopefully our paths will cross on your journey later this year.
I think our fondest boondocking memory might be staying with these hosts!
We were welcomed here together with other travelers and enjoyed a lovely evening together on arrival.
Our toddler was so excited about all the toys in the yard and our baby got to play with a walker!
The next morning we were welcomed on the porch again for a yummy breakfast and received great tips about the area to spend our day.
When we came back they had set up their own bus for us as a storm was on its way! Luckily the rain only arrived the next day after breakfast (we were spoiled again) and they let us wait until the storm had past in their house. In the meantime they gave us useful advice and contact for the rest of our trip,
We are so grateful for the warm welcome here, lovely place and kindest hosts. Thank you!
We are very happy to meet Lois. She is a very nice woman (reminds me a lot of my grand-mother :) ) Beautiful area, quiet, perfect boondocking place! She even gave us a bag of deluxe snacks before we left, so lovely and kind. Thank you very much again and we would definitely come back there if we have too!
We stayed one night on this beautiful spot. John was not there we spoke with his wife Lois. She is a very friendly lady and offers us water and electricity. The spot is very quiet. If we are in the neighborhood we come again. We recommend this host.
Thank you for a great spot, easy in & out. Enjoyed hearing about your adventures & sharing ours! Sorry we didn't meet John but maybe next time! Thank you again for a great evening!
We had a great time staying at John & Lois’ driveway. They were lovely people and we even went and got some food together. We had great talks about life and family and they gave us some cookies to take with us which were delicious. Hopefully we get to see them again on the road! Or hopefully they come visit Canada and we can go on some adventures together! Either way we hope you guys keep in touch! Thanks!
We had a wonderful stay at Hilltop Haven. It felt like being with friends and family. Beautiful area, perfect camping spot, welcoming hosts, good conversations and lots in common made this a very enjoyable stay. We will be back, and hope if you ever come to Ontario you will come stay with us!
The host was great. Very experienced RV'er and very helpful and friendly. Location is out in the country and quite. Would stay again if in the area.
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place. It was perfect for our needs. And thank you for all of the reassurance for we nervous first timers.
It was a very easy in and out. Our hosts made sure we had good directions to get to the place. It was a very peaceful evening. We would stop by again if we were in the area.
John and Lois were very accommodating hosts and their property was perfect for our travel trailer. John made sure that we had the correct and detailed directions to their site. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area. Thank you!
I was kinda busy doing conference calls n such so didn't get to visit much with this very king host. I hope they will have me back on my next rip through here.
Hill Haven is a great spot to park for the night among other RVers. The hosts are welcoming and make you feel very comfortable in setting up and in conversation. A very quiet environment and I would hope that my journeys lead me there again.
Great friendly host and an easy big site to get into with water and electric. This was perfect for me, not really out of my way, and I could not have felt safer.
