Leave a reference for this hostWe are located near historic downtown Delaware Oh. We live in a 1910 farmhouse with a barn on property. Depending on where in the driveway we have nice tree cover and minimal city noise or light. There is a main road next to us but no semis and only moderate noise, there is a parallel railroad a street over though which means some train noises while you sleep but I find that even more relaxing! We are also minutes from downtown Delaware which is absolutely lovely and has great restaurants, history, events, and local stores! Also 30 minutes from Columbus, 2 hours from Cleveland, 2 hours from Cincinnati, and about 3 hours from Indianapolis and Pittsburgh.
No smoking please
No running generators after 10pm
Please try to leave by 11am
Pets on leash/pick up after them
Firewood available for donation or bring your own, fire pit open for use
The driveway is flattened gravel but the road outside the house is very nice and was just redone in August of 2018. It’s ohio so there are no hills, depending on which way you come from there may be some railroad crossing or potholes on main roads but I don’t think it should be an issue. Also depending on which way you come from there is a bridge with a max height of 12’ 6” but can be easily gone around if you do come that way.
In the driveway. The drive way is gravel on the property with two parking areas that also come off of that plus grass parking.
We do a lot of last minute trips so just let us know if you are interested and I will tell you yes or know for sure on availability!
Downtown Hisotric Delaware, Delaware county fair if you are lucky enough to be here in mid-late September, Columbus Zoo/Zoombeezi Bay, countless local breweries and restaurants, Columbus and the Short North area especially if you are into art or history!
Great hosts, easy in, easy out, even with the snow. Some train noises at night, not a problem. Close to Delaware, Ohio, a delightful downtown, lots of interesting shops, also includes the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.
We had a wonderful, albeit short, stay at the Jarvis' homestead! Our 18' trailer + Honda Pilot fit well in the spot and they provided electricity to run our A/C (thank goodness - it was SO hot!). They even moved their cars around so we could get into the spot a bit easier. The space had great shade and it was a beautiful piece of land. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We are grateful!
Nice hosts. Responded quickly to messages and came out to greet us and set us up with electricity when we arrived in stormy weather. We highly recommend OhioJarvises as hosts.
