Leave a reference for this hostlocated in the heart of the Adirondack park close by 14.5 mile Long Lake, a quiet location to explore all the local area has to offer
We are pretty easy going, but ask that you don't run generators between 9pm an 10am. We can provide electric, 15, 30, or 50 amp hookup but ask for small contribution to offset any costs for electricity used.
gravel driveway leading to grassy field area..... RV parking is on level prepared pad, back in
plenty of off-street parking, gravel parking area, or near your rig in our field
located in the center of the Adirondack park containing over six-million acres, the Park is the largest park in the contiguous United States. Hiking, boating, biking, great camps, ADK Musuem, Wild Center, Sea plane rides, are just a small sampling of things to do in the area.
What a lovely area! The RV pad is located behind a very photogenic old barn, is level, and has access to water, electricity, and sewer. We felt safe and welcome here. The hosts are wonderful, friendly and helpful folks. If it were warmer, we would have taken advantage of the firepit and beach. Long Lake itself is a wonderful little town, well worth the visit. But the highlight of our trip this time through were the Fall Colors! Being a California native, I'd never seen so many colorful trees in one place in my life! Breathtaking! Highly recommended!
Sandypt folks were most welcoming. They explained where to park and helped position our camper. They offered all the amenities associated with a full hookup though we did not require it. We launched our canoe of the private beach for a very pleasant afternoon on the water.
It was a very quiet and pleasant place to spend a couple of days in the Adirondacks
Our host was very friendly and helpful he assisted us in parking the RV we hope that we will be able to return next year
Sandypt were very accommodating and welcoming. He helped get us settled in and offered hook-ups. The place was nice and quiet and we took a recommended hike after vacating in the morning. A terrific stop. Thanks!
Wonderful site with full hook-ups and WiFi matched with warm and welcoming hosts. Enjoyed getting to know them and look forward to seeing them again, either on the road or back in this beautiful spot. If you'd like to get together with non-RVing friends or family, this would be a great place since the hosts own two motels right by the lake. This site in the Adirondacks is unique and beautiful, with lots of hiking nearby and a first class museum right down the road.
Knowledgeable host willing to share local sights. Great couple. Thanks again.
Our hosts gave us a warm welcome and a great quiet spot to camp. They are super knowledgeable about the area and were able to point us towards a spectacular local hike. They also had great info about our route from there to the coast of Maine. We would definitely stay again and wish we could have stayed longer.
We caught ADK Escape right at the end of the season (maybe even a bit past the end of the season) in the area, so they were prepping to take off themselves to do some travel. Even though they weren't there when we arrived, they communicated with us where we could stay and greeted us warmly the next day. We hope we'll see them again somewhere out on the road!
David and Daniela have a lovely little hotel on Long Lake in the Adirondacks. Each room has its own screened in porch that looks out over the lake. From our RV we could take an easy walk down to beach property that they also own. They have a second property down the street with a pad out back. We didn't need the hotel room or the pad because we were in our RV and just needed one quick night. They let us park in the parking lot and hook up to their 15 amp electric. It was quiet and fit the bill nicely for a simple stop over. They were both very hospitable and didn't mind stopping in for a chat. Daniela is a great seamstress/quilter and may some day start selling her creations (I hope). I'm putting this area on my list to come back to. Definitely will look up David and Daniela, even if I don't need to boondock.
We stayed several nights at David and Danielle’s place, which is convenient to some good hikes—they will give you the lowdown on best kept secrets in the area—a fantastic museum loaded with something for everyone—the Adirondack Experience—and local restaurants. This was our first trip through this area of New York and we fell in love with the lakes, trees, wildlife and more. The Adirondacks is a special place with an intriguing history and if you stay on their ‘pad’ for a few days, you’ll see for yourself. Our pad had power, water and WiFi. It was also very quiet while not being too out of the way. We walked to a lodge for dinner the first night and marveled at the stars....in the sky, not celebrities!! (Although, the wealthy have been coming here for luxury camping since the 19th century!!) David and Danielle are experts on everything the area has to offer and they’re more than generous with their time. We so enjoyed sharing those “Well, we have to get going” chats that somehow led from topic to topic....But, we had total privacy at our private pad!! Danielle is quite the artsy/craftsy person (quilting is one of her specialties) and David is a handyman-extraordinaire who can tackle loads of projects with nerdlike gusto!! When we left he was working on a solar power system for their new Airstream. We so enjoyed our visit and hope you will too. Colleen & Werner
PS Ask Danielle to show you her latest quilt 😍😍
We have been with BW for sometime now and we just have to say, we love the fact that we make so many great friends as we travel this beautiful country. This stop was no exception. Our hosts were more than gracious, taking care of all of our needs. They gave us great information about the area which made our stay even more delightful. We have made new friends and discovered a beautiful area in New York. Thank you Sandypt for your hospitality. I have a feeling we may be back!
We were very happy to experience the availability of their site. In the middle of the Adirondack Park they offered us a perfect spot with all amenities at high level. The same as the hosts who did everything to let us feel home. We could even stay a longer period; the huge park and all things to see guarantee a nice stay. Thank you so much David an Daniela, enjoy your travels with your awesome Streamliner. Certainly you will have more guests on your patch.
