Our house is a rural community of Winston Salem, NC. We are on 1/2 acre estate size lots. Large privacy fenced back yard and large hilly front yard. Single lane driveway up a hill to flat land where RV parking is available.
Quiet time is 9 pm to 8 am. As long as you are quiet, respectful, and non-destructive, you can stay as long as you like. No entrance to the house if we are not home. No "Rat trap" RVs or TTs, please. (In other words, we can't have Uncle Eddie from the movie "Christmas Vacation" staying here). We understand things break and accept folks in need but if you're driving a jalopy, please go to WalMart to boondock. We prefer non-smokers but concession can be made as long as you do not throw your butts away in our yard. No Generators, please.
All paved roads to our location from 4 lanes to 2 lane back roads. There are some hills as we are in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains.
We have a single lane driveway that inclines towards the house but next to the garage, there is flat ground. Smaller Class C or TTs will be OK. There will be room for your TV.
Winston Salem has many attractions such as Wake Forest University, one of the countries most prestigious colleges. Lots of museums in Old Salem, quaint shops in Old Winston. We are close to BB&T Ballpark, Bethabara historic ruins, Reynolda Woods (the inspiration behind Winnie The Pooh and the 100 acre woods), Winston Cup Museum, The Childrens Museum, Sci-works, Korners Folley, and many more.
Nice people on a quiet residential street. I hope to return to see the rest of the Aviation Museum. It’s fascinating but too much for my old bones to do in one day.
Heart warning hospitality.
Super nice people, great conversations, they offered electric, and helped me with my flat tire. Definitely will stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay with WanderlustChronicles! The neighbourhood is a very quiet/lovely area, and their driveway was level and easy to reverse our 24ft RV into. The hosts weren't home when we arrived but they gave us clear instructions and greeted us as soon as they were home, which made us feel very welcomed. We were invited into their home in the morning for tea/coffee and had some great conversations. We hope our paths cross again one day!
Wonderful hosts who really went out of their way to see that we had all we needed. Nice big level driveway. Property in a very quiet subdivision.
Both of our hosts were super nice, did everything they could for us.
Nice long flat driveway easy to get into and out of highly recommend.
