Description

Very rural with great views of Pikes Peak and foothills ranch land.
We live on ten acres and have a few head of llamas.
We love animals, Pets are welcome if they are kept under control.
Water is available if you need to top off your freshwater tank.
You can plug in to the 15 amp receptacle near the barn right next to your rig.
We are about 15 miles east of Monument. Google Maps or your GPS is the best way to find us.
We are about half way between Colorado Springs and Castle Rock, about 15 miles east of I-25.
We are about ten miles from the Black Forest General Store and a hand full of local eateries and bars.
The gravel roads are maintained and are generally in pretty good condition, although winter can bring some difficulties. Not going to lie to you, here at the top of the Palmer Divide we get weather, but it is always beautiful.
This is a quiet area. You won't hear the highway or sounds of the city, although if you sleep with your windows open you might hear the coyotes at night or wild turkeys at sunrise.
If you arrive late and need some light to get set up I can accommodate that with the yard light, but it is not left on all night. The night sky is incredible here. Enjoy it!

House Rules

Pets under control at all times. This is a rural neighborhood with wildlife, horses, llamas and alpacas nearby.
Enjoy walking or biking around the neighborhood with dogs leashed.
Feel free to use your exterior lights as needed, but don't leave them on all night..

Access Road Conditions

We live on a dirt road and have a gravel driveway. It is a loop driveway with easy access.
Giving directions to our place is best left to your GPS or Google Maps.

Tow Vehicle Parking Details

We live in a rural area on ten acres. There is plenty of room to park in our relatively flat graveled driveway next to the barn..

Peaceful

Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery. Host was very helpful with tips for us to see the local attractions. We found we were both 4x4 offroad enthusiasts. We highly recommend staying here if your in the area.

Wonderful stay!

Easy and comfortable place to park next to a barn and llamas. Incredible view of Pike’s Peak and within 10-15 minutes of restaurants, gas station, etc. 30 minutes to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. We cannot day enough about our host, Ray! What a delightful man. He knows the area so well and can recommend great places! He is friendly, happy, helpful and just a pleasure to be around!

A Fantastic Stay!!

RayYoung hosted us when we were in an awkward travel situation. Wonderful couple. Stayed overlooking their Llamas, who were very friendly, with a fantastic view of Pikes Peak. This is definitely a get away from it all spot that we would highly recommend. Thank you once again to you both for everything.

Quiet and friendly stay

My husband and I stayed on their property for two nights in October. We were greeted with a warm smile and he helped my husband get set up. It was pretty darn cold out so they were kind enough to let us share some of their power to heat our motorhome. All in all, it was a quick stay but very peaceful. We especially enjoyed looking out our windows at the llamas in the morning.

Beautiful Location!

We really enjoyed our stay with Ray and Val. Ray was there to meet us and show us where to set up. They have about 6 llamas and it was awesome being close to them, they are very curious and friendly. The views and sunsets were spectacular! Ray gave us great suggestions on places to visit and they did not disappoint. He’s very knowledgeable of the area and we really enjoyed his company and conversation! We’re hoping if they ever come to the Northwest, they will come and stay with us. Thanks Again Ray and Val!
