In the blackhills and national forest. 3 miles to Sturgis and 11 to Deadwood. If needed could run extension cord for some power.
Like most rver's keep place clean and respectful. And enjoy.
Rite off 14a. In sharp curve. Be cautious of vehicles behind you when turning in. Room to turn around depending on how much rain we get.
Room to park tow.
Yard is to wet
Historic Deadwood with casinos. Sturgis where the big yearly bike rally is. Great trails in the blackhills for motorcycles and atv's. Mount Rushmore not to far.
Unfortunately, we didn't meet out hosts but did chat on the phone. They have a lovely location nestled up against the mountain. Thank you for your hospitality
I was only there one night, but George and Renee were such great hosts!
George cleaned the contacts on my trailer tail light and saved me a service. Renee offered loads of loval information and gave me some maps and brochures.
Quiet, redtful stay. Highly recommend. Thank you!
He came over to greet me and showed me where to park. Asked if I needed a hand, told him I was all set and he went back to his work. Very cordial man.
George and Renee. Excellent hosts. Throw in the other couple staying over and wé had enjoyable and funny conversations. Was interrupted briefly when a large bull snake wriggled by and lynn jumped a bit.
Renee cooked the best chicken, which myself and other guest Joe quickly demolished.
Convenient to Spearfish, Deadwood and Sturgis. Great location and honestly, great people😊
We had a great time during our stay thanks in large part to the hospitality afforded us by our hosts. Their knowledge of the area added to our vacation experience. Many thanks from us to our hosts😊
I cannot say enough how incredible my stay was. During my stay ta young family from Lutherania were also there. They were gracious hosts and could not do enough for us. If I had to pick my most favorite boondocker.. These 2 were it. In fact i plan on going there on my way back.
I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
GeorgeRenee take Boondockers Welcome hosting to new heights of hospitality and helpfulness. We enjoyed long conversations on all sorts of topics and suggestions on routes to take through the Black Hills. These included roads to avoid in our rig, which is always welcome. An extra night? “Of course.” We only wish our schedule would have allowed two extra nights.
We had to postpone our stay because of the weather and still ended up at these hosts’ place with awful rain!
They went out of their way to make us and our children feel comfortable despite the bad weather and we enjoyed spending time together with them and another boondocker.
We also received great recommendations for the area and for the rest of our trip.
These hosts have a heart of gold, we can only recommend them and hope we get a chance to meet again!
Very nice! Words can’t do our stay justice. We will stay here every time we pass through!
These are the rare kind of folks you meet and instantly feel like old friends. From the moment we saw him waving us in (which made us feel like family coming home) until we hugged each other goodbye, it was a great stay. They provided us with literature about the area and he and my husband even planned an excellent itinerary for while we were there.
There was plenty of flat space for our 35-foot rig and toad and Verizon cell service was great.
Highly recommend these delightful folks! We hope to meet them on the RV trail sometime.
2 nites is necessary to take in all the beauty of this region. This Boondocker's location is central to all. Their suggestion of Spearfish Canyon drive was spot-on.
Quickest response to our request, ever. Nice folks. A level spot close to things we all want to visit.
What a great spot to spend the night. George and Renee welcomed me and my dog with a warm fire and good conversation. Renee cooked a great supper and we all enjoyed it by their outside bonfire on a beautiful night. Bonus...there were wild animal sounds off in the distance (mountain lion, was everyone's guess) that made this adventure truly memorable.
We had such a wonderful time at Boulder Canyon! George was there to greet us at their driveway. Their property is a little slice of heaven nestled in the hills with a creek running through. We sat outdoors the first evening with George and Renee and shared some travel stories and we welcomed their knowledge of the area and the site seeing tips. We were able to plug into 15 amp power and top off our water which was much appreciated. We would love to stay here again when we’re in the area and would love for George and Renee to come to Washington and stay with us for a visit. Thanks Again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and meeting George! His place is tucked off the road and our spot was very level and beautiful. Since it's off the road you may hear some noise in the evening but we never noticed once we tucked in for the night. George offered some great advice for site seeing and we ended up staying 2 nights instead of 1 so we could park the camper and go explore in our truck. This was our 1st Boondocking experience and we'd definitely stay again!
We had an enjoyable, and eventful, stay with two of the most pleasant people you could wish to meet. The location is beautiful, flat and close to the attractions that the Black Hills have to offer. Thank you.
We had a very nice time visiting George and Renee!
They shared a lot of good information about the area and various Must see attractions and events!
We were pleased to find this new listing just outside of town and surrounded by beautiful hills. We enjoyed our stay and our visit with George and Renee, who gave us lots of local information and sightseeing suggestions. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to stay again and recommend Boulder Canyon.
