Leave a reference for this hostA not-quite-level paved parking area on our 12 mostly-wooded acres in Connecticut. This was part of the Paradise Park Game preserve before it was divided and sold. The parking area is near our house, and we have a paved turnaround for RVs. The driveway is only one lane wide, and is partially shared with our neighbor.
Please observe our quiet hours. As a rule, no generators, but we can work something out. In the future, we will be adding an RV electrical connection to make thing easier.
We have a long driveway that splits between us and the neighbor. Stay to the left when coming down the driveway! We try to keep the overhanging branches clear, but keep an eye out, especially after bad weather.
A 30 ft RV can park here, and a tow vehicle can park near the garage. This is all off-street parking on our own property.
We are doing work on the house this fall, so there may not be a lot of dates available until 2019.
Close to state parks, golf courses, Quinnipiac University, and Yale university. Also only about 30 minutes away from the beach.
RickandKristen are very nice :-) very hospitable, and very friendly. The area is beautiful and so is the house! Top Notch stay! Thank you so much.
While Kristen was away, Rick was all about getting us settled and comfortable. A very nice setting off the beaten path, we were delighted to meet the furbaby family and share stories of adventures near and far. Although we weren’t there for long, Rick made us feel right at home. Thanks Rick for bringing us in, and when back in this area again, we’ll be in touch! Rick and Kristen are what this RV Community is all about! Well Done!
Super friendly hosts, and a nice quiet & peaceful place in Paradise!
Our hosts were very accommodating and we had a great time. Met their extended family and really enjoyed our time there. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Having electricity was a plus. Highly recommend.
Beautiful place to stay. The hosts were very accommodating and provided electric which was very much appreciated. We met part of the extended family and really had great conversations. Location is very close to trains to NYC so easy commutes anywhere you might want to go. Would love to revisit when we have more time. Thank you so much.
Another great stop for us retirees. Gracious hosts and very interesting family; professionally and personally. We especially appreciated that they hosted us despite having a full house of family guests.
Beautiful frogs serenaded us to sleep! We stopped here to visit Naugatuck nearby on our way up the coast, and wish we could have stayed longer to chat! They seem like very interesting people, and Kristen was very nice and accommodating. They even offered us electric, which was very welcome! They do have dogs on property so just be aware if you're not a dog person - they were fun though.
Note: Google mapped us to the wrong street - so double-check the address its mapping you to. Waze did give the correct address, so thankfully we did find it without hassle (street numbers on that street didnt match their address either).
Theirs was one street up from where we were mapped to by Google, and easy enough to get to once we got it correct.
Lovely stay and a great first Boondockers Welcome!
This place is amazing! Rick and Kristen were awesome, they greeted us and helped us find the best way to get into the spot. It took us some finagling just because we’re a 30 ft 5th wheel pulled by a really long truck but we got it sorted. The space is super level and the surroundings are gorgeous. Very quiet, and they have 3 adorable dogs. We will definitely stay again on our next visit!
We really enjoyed our time here in Connecticut and the beautiful property we got stay on while we were here. Our hosts were so generous, and we enjoyed getting to know them a little better. Glad we could be their first Boondockers, and we definitely shouldn’t be their last. Great spot. Thanks again!
