Prefer no smoking. At very least take your cigarette ends with you or dispose of in the trash bin.
NO Generators after 10pm. Please turn outside lights off when you retire- we have zero light pollution at our place - millions of stars instead.
We do live in the country - so we have multiple wild animals - skunks, fox, raccoons and even the occasional sighting of bald eagles - keep this in mind if you have small pets that need walking later in the evenings or even through out the day...

Doug and Mindy are great hosts and made me feel very welcome. They have a great level spot across the private road from their house, bordered by a hayfield. Great views, easy access and welcoming hosts...a great combination. Thanks to them both for allowing me to stay and making me feel at home.
This was our first time boondocking, had many guest at our place in the 1000 Islands over past 25 year, however never tried it ourselves. Doug and Mindy erased al fears from the system fo!! Mindy went over things to see and do in area, we did the first half of point to point will finish next week at her suggestion. Campfire last evening topped off visit with extra concern for us next day in preparation for leaving, all good.
Betty and i although had friends and passer through stay at ou home over past 25 years had never used the boondockers ourselves , what a pleasant experiance, we are sold, Doug and Mindy will only build your business, cant say enough good, hope we can show them around the 1000 Islands someday.
As first time ‘guests’/users of Boondockers Welcome we were welcomed with open arms by Mindy and Doug. They made us not only feel like family but they did everything within their power to make our stay awesome, from evening bonfires to taking us to buy lobsters from a buy boat and then having a lobster dinner at their house. Their bus conversion is just about the coolest thing ever. The ‘stick with what you know’ discussion was funny and NO, there will be no fire department ladder truck conversion for us! 🤣 We WILL be seeing Mindy and Doug again; they are great hosts and wonderful people.😘
We had a wonderful stay with Mindy and Doug. Doug helped us get set up with a great view of the fields and water. They were so warm and friendly. Mindy introduced us to the tea house in town as well as taking us to Lennox Island. We got fresh lobsters right off the boat and she taught us how to eat whole lobsters which was brand new to us and tasted amazing..Sitting by the fire and sharing stories as well as being invited in made us feel very welcome. If you are in Tyne Valley we recommend you staying with them.I 🙂
We had the most memorable experience with Doug and Mindy! They are so friendly and down to earth, and took a lot of time to show us how to have the best experience on this part of the island. The views and sunsets are lovely... please don’t hesitate to spend time with them!
We enjoyed our walk along the shore in front of Doug and Mindy’s beautiful water front property. They were very friendly and accommodating. We were given a interesting tour of their bus conversion project. They’ve gone all out getting this bus ready for it’s maiden tour.
Great place to stay highly recommended.
Joe and Sandie
They were as nice as could be- so welcoming and kind. And generous! Great location and the sunset on the river was spectacular. We had a wonderful overnight stay.
