Description

We operate a small CSA farm. You're welcome to checkout the animals and gardens if you like. We have a 50amp hookup if you have a long enough cord, otherwise we have a 15amp extension. Water is available from an outside faucet. We don't have a dump site on the property.

House Rules

We ask that everyone text before arrival. We have dogs that are well trained to 'notify' us of visitors. They have been known to jump. The text allows us to kennel them before you arrive so as to not startle anyone.

Pets are welcome but they must be leashed as we free range our chickens.

No smoking is allowed

Kids are welcome however, they are not allowed in the pasture or barn without direct supervision. We have large animals. We can accommodate a temporary pasture area for horses if you need it. Please let us know when contacting us.

Since we do actively farm we ask for quiet after 10pm. We will do our best to not wake you early, but make no assurances the roosters won't.

Access Road Conditions

We are on a tar road with gravel driveway that is well graded.

Tow Vehicle Parking Details

We have a roundabout in our driveway that is large enough to accommodate most size rigs and cars.

Monty Farm

Excellent stay and so easy to park and get set up. The chickens are great entertainment all day long. Very relaxing. Glad we could stay there.

Nice relaxing stay

We arrived and were shown where to park. We got set up and headed to grab a quick bite. When we got back, a sever storm was brewing so we battened down the hatches to ride it out. By the time it was over, there was no time to visit. We left early the next morning to get back on the road. It looks like a great little farm, and could be fun for a few days visit. Hopefully next time we will get a chance to really meet our hosts and get to know them. I would recommend a stay here if you’re in the area!

Great stay!

Enjoyed our stay on the farm. We went to Kolacky Days based on the hosts recommendation and had a great time! The farm was a perfect place to stay and we enjoyed the chickens, ducks and cows. The dogs were friendly and we enjoyed their visits each day. If ever in the area again, would definitely stay. Hosts were accommodating and nice.

Great Couple and Farm

They were great hosts. Offered us to park as our choosing. Offered water and a 50amp. Lots of farm animals to enjoy (love various breeds of chickens and ducks). Suggested places in the area to hike with trails and beautiful motorcycle rides.

Monty Homestead!

Loved my stay on the farm! Loved getting to see all of the animals and having space to relax for a few days! In a small town, but a great stop if you are headed through this area.

Lovely authentic farm

You see a lot of places on here labeled as farms that definitely used to be, but are no longer. Well, this place is a lovely and lively active farm (chickens, ducks, a few cows, etc) with the kindest and most generous of hosts operating it. Thanks to you both again!

Farm Stay

We stayed two nights at the farm. The host greeted us and was very friendly. She offered water and 50amp hookup. We got a lot of much needed rain so we ended up using the hookup as our solar didn’t keep up. It was fun to see the farm animals.

Fun on the Farm

Despite being mid structure-build, they let us come stay for 2 nights. We got there at sunset and they helped us maneuver the work zone to get setup. They were very friendly and had tons to talk about as there were so many projects going on at once. We were constantly greated by their 2 dogs and barn kitty. It was such a treat being surrounded by chickens, ducks & roosters clucking around. Our indoor cat was having a ball, haha. We even saw a bald eagle the morning we were heading out. They recommended the Holiday gas station in town that fills up propane tanks for $13, so good score on that one too haha.

Hoping to stay there again soon!

Quiet at night!

Very Quiet at night! Couldn't check much out as it rained the entire time, but room for our big rig for the evening.

Working farm!

Very nice hosts! Like their profile states, this is a working farm. If you have dogs just make sure they like chickens. This is a very quiet stop. Easy to find. A little tight with our tt and tv (we total 59') but doable!
