We are on the intersection of a major 2 lane US highway and a smaller country road. Very easy access for large vehicles. 2.5 mile to the nearest town and gas, 3.5 miles from Walmart. We actually have 2 driveway, One to Gift Shop/barn which is one lane into a large 5 car parking area. It has a moderate grade at the highway. Our other driveway is for our house which is circular with only a small grade into driveway of the side road. Both driveways are useable for boondockers.
Depending on time, weather conditions, parking is available, but could change due to ground conditions. Off road, in the grass or gravel driveway. Large open back lot available to park if ground is solid.
We do some last minute traveling, but are not usually gone for more that a few day May thru December. We will make every effort to accommodate your stay if at all possible. Longer that 5 days stay will be considered.
Grand Lake only about 3.5 miles. Grand lake was built in 1838 to supply the water for the Miami Erie Canal and had the first ever off shore oil drilling. The US continental divide is on the north side of Celina. Water flowing out the West Bank spillway flows south to the Mississippi River. Water flowing out the St Mary’s end flows to the St. Mary’s rivers and flows north to Lake Erie. Lots of corn, bean & wheat fields. Neil Armstrong space museum in Wapakoneta about 25 miles. Miami Erie Cannel walks path in St. marys is about 9 mile.
Celina to Coldwater walking & bike path.
Rich was a great host and even had a quick reference guide he has created for local restaurants, stores, and resources.
Very nice site with great views of the sunset and sunrise across open fields along with of lots of stars visible at night. We’d definitely stay here again.
Couldn’t ask for a nicer host! Thank you!
Wonderful couple hosts this site! They are very helpful and knowledgeable. We used the back spot (15 amp hookup) for our stay and enjoyed wide soybean fields and beautiful sunsets and sunrises for our views! Highly recommended spot!
Compliments to my host, he was very friendly and well organized. Easy in and out with level parking.
Our hosts were very kind and accommodating to our stay needs in providing power and with the offer of water. We did not need water, however we did use the electric.
It was nice to sit out in back of the house in the evening chatting of RV life and of various traveling to Hawaii. The cicadas were singing loudly and it was an overall nice stay. There was road noise that eased after about 11 but picked up early about 5:30... this wasn’t too bad as it did help us get on the road on time. We would stay here again if we find ourselves here in the future. Great hosts!
They made us feel very at home and welcome. Easy access and level. If we were in the area, we would come again!
Rich met us upon arrival, showed us where to park and even brought us a couple slices of wonderful chocolate cake! We have been full time RVing for a while but just joined Boondockers Welcome. What a great host for our very first Boondockers Welcome experience. The site was quiet, safe, and easy to access, and Rich is a great guy. What more can anyone ask for?
Very friendly and welcoming. Let us test our new AC unit on a very hot/humid Ohio night.
Thanks Rich!
Rich and Janelle were very welcoming and gracious hosts. Rich connected with us right away and offered us info before our stay to make getting set up even easier. Beautiful property with ample shade. We hooked up to 30amp which was a blessing to have in the heat. Rich always made sure that we knew that he was available for any questions and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. We also visited their gift shop next door which was a special treat. Thanks so much for making our first BW stay so great!
Thought this review was posted over a week ago. Our host went out of his way to help us. Due to extenuating circumstances, our 1 day stay turned into 5. Can't thank our host enough. This is a great location for boondocking. We look forward to meeting again in the future. Also, the bean soup was delicious!
So much gratitude goes out to our hosts. Friends from the first time we met. Our stay was extended because of the circumstances, and it was really a saving grace for us, especially as everything was shutting down. Well we made the best of it, and enjoyed our conversation, our shared meals and meeting of the minds to solve any issue that we had. Nothing but great respect and highly recommended. May our paths keep crossing in the future. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts.
Our host very generously extended our stay. Wonderful place to "boondock". We made a new friend.
So grateful for these hosts, truly a great friendship created. Goes above and beyond and has delicious treats for us also. Great conversations and such a beautiful location, and through this crazy times, a savior for us. So much appreciation, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
This was a great stay despite the rain and high winds on our arrival. Thankfully they had advised us to arrive early. Got us settled in and gave us info on the area. We saw a beautiful lake and were able to get our errands done the next day. They invited us to dinner for a great meal at a local restaurant with good conversation. They are popular hosts and we agree they certainly are!
From the moment we got there, till the moment we left, great accommodation, great conversations and a great memorable experience. We set on this journey to experience this big beautiful continent, not knowing that it's also the people who make it so great. This was absolutely awesome, as were our host. Definitely would love to meet up with them again someday. We also bought a wind chime from their great little gift shop and had them sign it.
Thanks for being wonderful hosts! You were so accommodating with us. Property is level and the views are lovely!
Awesome location and awesome hosts!!
We would absolutely return when in the area again.
We would look forward to more chats!
Very easy pull in /pull out.
Rich-Janelle Nuding were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating hosts. We were traveling and requested to stay at short-notice and they responded promptly, and kept in touch. Thank you!,
Rich and JANELLE are great people, they were so welcoming when we arrived. We only stayed one evening and were tired from our drive, but the next day we enjoyed conversations with both of them. Such a nice down to earth couple who offered everything that they could, electric, WiFi password, even let us know where we could dump if we needed.
They even have a gift shop with such cool unique gifts. I of course bought something.
Oh and let’s not forget the beautiful grounds. We had the perfect level spot in their field, that looked out to the soy bean fields, with a beautiful sunrise to enjoy with our morning coffee.
Thank you to you both for a lovely stay. Will definitely stop by again if we ever come through.
We arrived as strangers - - left after 4 days not just friends but family!
Our host welcomed us at the road then directed us into a lovely spacious spot. Could not ask for a better place to spend some time relaxing and enjoying “country life”!
Our hosts have so many interesting things to share — tips and tricks with a travel trailer/5th wheel, yummy Instant Pot recipes, and so much more. Their back porch is wonderful - we can not share enough about this couple.
Our cat was ill and immediately they contacted their vet for us!
One thing this BAMA girl did learn ::::
“OH” —- “IO”
Hoping we can meet up again on our travels!!!
Great spot for a restful night. Hosts were very gracious and accommodating. Talked the evening away on their patio. Hope they come visit us.
I was great meeting Country Acres. Very easy access, level parking area. They were very accommodating dealing with our delays enroute. We would love to go back and meet them again one day.
Very much enjoyed visiting at Country Acres. Very friendly and helpful with anything I needed. Look forward to staying here again.
it was a great stay. They were very nice and and knowledgeable. Very helpful with set up thru break down. Very kind to kids, generous and gave us space as well.
The hosts were exceptionally accommodating and friendly. I enjoy spending time, talking with them.
The hummingbirds were also fun to watch and the area was beatiful.
We hope to see them again while traveling or if we are able to come back in the area.
We highly recommend this site.
Our stay here was very comfortable. Communication was a piece of cake with Rich. He met us in the driveway and set us up. We had a nice visit in the morning. Thanks again!
What welcoming hosts, Rich made sure we found our site and settled in. Nice country setting so close to town. Told us about C Town wings for dinner, very good!! Also enjoyed a great breakfast at The Fountain. Try the Billy Bob!! Don't forget to stop in the gift shop for some unique gifts.
Convenient to Celina and the State parks nearby. Lovely grass parking area and great hosts.
We were welcomed as if we had known each other for years. Very nice spot in the driveway of the shop. And now we can say we have friends in Celine, OH! Thanks again!
We really enjoyed our stay and feel we have made new friends. We hope they will be able to visit us in the winter. The location is very good and we could not have been made more welcome from the moment we arrived until we had to leave. This is a great place for any one to spend a night or better still a few days. A big thanks to our hosts.
Such sweet hosts. Enjoyed stopping in her stop and hanging out under the cool shady tree. We just fit in the turn around u-shaped driveway with our big rig 45 ft fiver. Our hosts were incredibly a accomodating and met us upon arrival. This location was great stop on our return east from black hills. Thanks a lot!
This was our first boondocking experience and a great one. Our hosts were so kind and hospitable. Great tips from them, beautiful country setting, delightful gift shop! Hope to stay here again.
Very pleasant and gracious host. Very nice piece of property amid farmland and cornfields. Hosts are very polite and helpful. Thanks so much!
Such gracious hosts, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The location is right in the middle of corn and soybean fields and we loved our morning walk down their rural country road. Great conversation with them; shopped in their little store for some gifts from the road. Look forward to crossing paths again in the future.
