Covid FYI…We are both vaccinated, and our boosters and the new Bivalent booster… But still very cautious. We have a large grassy lot with a few trees, two gravel driveways, one circle drive at house with 30a, one to barn/garage with15a. Every effort to accommodate you will be exercised. It’s 2.5 mile to the nearest town and gas, 3.5 miles from Walmart. There is a rv dump station at our local Mercer County Fairgrounds only 3.5 mile South and can be used for a $5 fee on honor system. We also have a Marathon Truck Stop at the intersection of US 127 & US 33 ( 4 mile north of us) and it has Gas, Diesel, Def at pumps, propane and rv dump. Yes we have some road noise that comes with living near a highway. If you’re a light sleeper, the noise in our driveway might bother you. I installed one 30amp 110v outlet for rigs willing parking in our house driveway. If you want to run 1 AC unit or electric heaters a donation up to $10....We have 15 amp available at several locations for $5 donation. You MAY donate what you feel is APPROPRIATE for your usage. If you’re not requesting any hookup utility there is absolutely no donation expected. Come and just enjoy the country life in a flat agricultural area. We are available to chat or help you out if you need assistance or something, even minor repairs, don't be afraid to ask! If you want privacy, peace and quiet, we would be happy to give you your space. Just let us know what your preference. It's your decision... We many time have our breakfast/coffee on our patio. Your are more that welcome to join us if you choose to. If we have multiple guests, you may have to share utilities. Suggested Local Attractions:Grand Lake only about 3.5 miles. Grand lake was built in 1838 to supply the water for the Miami Erie Canal and had the first ever off shore oil drilling. Site for more lake history…. https://lakeimprovement.com/history/ ..The US continental divide is on the north side of Celina. Water flowing out the West Bank spillway flows south to the Mississippi River. Water flowing out the St Mary’s end flows to the St. Mary’s rivers and flows north to Lake Erie. Lots of corn, bean & wheat fields. Neil Armstrong space museum in Wapakoneta about 25 miles. Miami Erie Cannel walks path in St. marys is about 9 mile. Celina to Coldwater walking & bike path.

Location

Access Road Conditions: We are on the intersection of a major 2 lane US highway and a smaller country road. Very easy access for large vehicles if coming off US127. GPS has a tendency to take you thru some smaller ( but good) country roads, it’s best to stay on major highways to get to US 127. We actually have 2 driveway, One ( off 127) to barn/ garage which is one lane into a large 5 car parking area. It has a moderate grade at the highway. Our driveway ( off side road) is for our house which is circular with only a small grade into driveway of the side road. Both driveways are useable for boondockers. Depending on time and weather conditions, parking could change due to ground conditions. Large open back lot available to park if ground is solid.

Retired couple, married 52 +years, enjoy meeting new people. Details: I'm 73, wife 72 both retired , enjoy camping and just re-entered the rv world in 2018 after years of absence. We have traveled a lot, Europe, Mexico and many times to Hawaii. Now also enjoying wintering in the south. I grew up in this area of Ohio with my family near. Our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all live within 30 mile. Home Town: Grew up just a few miles from here on a family farm. No longer a farm owner, downsized several years ago. We Have lived in the Celina area, northern Mercer County most of our life, except for college and traveling. The wife was from Geneva, Indiana, about 25 miles straight west of us. Celina, ohio is our current town, check out this YouTube Video about Celina. https://youtu.be/JFTglFt8rKY…. You may need to copy and paste to your browser. Favorite Boondocking Locations: To many to list....every one is unique... Skills or Expertise to Share: Very handy, creative, quite a few hand tools. Just physically cant work to hard anymore. Love to talk about traveling and sharing about Hawaii and share info about our area. We are only about 4 mile from Grand Lake St Marys, 13,500 acre. It's a man-made reservoir for the Miami Erie Canal built In 1837 to 1844. We would love to have you visit us. Come enjoy the country life. FYI….we have some highway noise, but its not terrible…

Was given as much privacy or interaction as was desired. Well balanced communication. Awesome host! Easy access. Good directions. My favorite was conversation over coffee. Thanks for having us! Beautiful spot. We felt welcomed. This is a definite return when in the area.

As soon as we could, we booked Country Acres as the spot for us for eclipse viewing--and it was perfect. But even without the eclipse, it's a great spot for a stopover or for exploring the local area. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. We'll be back!

We were here to view the eclipse, and what a great experience that turned out to be! Rich and Janelle are awesome hosts. Rich was most helpful in every way. The quiets down at night, and we definitely recommend this place.

Great place for an overnight pitstop. Easy access pull thru driveway next to 30A power. Rich is very friendly. Had a good chat on his back patio. It is on a main highway, but the traffic was next to nothing by bedtime. No problem sleeping. Definitely recommend.
