We are on 8.5 acres in a fairly rural area, but we do have neighbors. We have a pavilion and firepit that you are welcome to use. You are welcome to enjoy the property, check out the goats, walk down to the small pond in the back field. We can put the goats in another area to provide a large area for your dog(s) to run. We do have a train that does visit the area occasionally to pick up gravel at the local quarry. The latest run is typically between 9 and 10:30p so you may hear a horn blow.
We've recently changed our profile to try to limit the pets visiting. We have some additional dogs to the household and it may be easier to not have additional pets visit. This is temporary; we will update you when the situation changes for us.
Here is a short video overview of the property: https://photos.app.goo.gl/NDNTH5rtnds7VSaS6
No smoking outside your rig.
No open flames near or in the barn.
You may use our fire pit in the middle of the backyard.
Quiet hours from 10pm to 8am.
No running generators after 10pm, we have electric if needed.
No washing of your rig.
There are paved roads to our location. There is a hill and railroad tracks to cross. Our driveway is paved as well. Once at our location, you'll need to back up in order to turn around to leave.
You can park your tow vehicle in the driveway next to your rig, or on the grass behind the barn.
The calendar is primarily up-to-date. We may have a few trips that we are still working out the details. Check with us to see if we'll be available.

Lovely and quiet location with extremely nice and skilled hosts. If I lived in the area, I would totally make them be my friends. Goats, chickens, dogs, and a cat....all great additions to the host location. Hope to see them again. 😊
The host family were wonderful during our first experience with Boondockers Welcome. We enjoyed their beautiful property, peaceful location and friendly dogs. We had many enjoyable conversations with the hosts, their children and granddaughters. Even as introverts, we felt comfortable and left feeling like a part of this amazing family. Thanks for everything - WeRLost
This host was very gracious and accepted my request although she had to make special arrangements to fit me in. I had a great time exploring the farm with her granddaughters. It was a fun time for all. I really liked the swings on the patio. I had a nice conversation with the host before I left and she directed me to a local strawberry patch. She was very helpful during the entire visit. I hope our paths cross in the future. I would definitely recommend this property.
This was our 2nd visit here & it’s like coming home! Great folks, adorable grandchildren & friendly dogs all to welcome us back. We always seem to bring the rain with us on our stays here. We were in town to visit mom in PA & regret we could not visit more with our hosts. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us! We hope Jaxson was OK. Hope to visit again should you be there this summer or maybe see you in our travels.
Stayed one night in this perfect spacious location near Gettysburg. Was an easy set up. Enjoyed greatly talking with the entire family and comparing travel notes. You cant go wrong here. Especially if you like friendly dogs like we do. Thanks pfisterville!
I can't even describe the level of fun we had here! My kids were thrilled to see hosts grand children. The animals were super fun and friendly.
We don't live terribly far, but can assure we will be back to this host for the fun of it!
This was our first stop with boondocks and we couldn't have picked a better host. Mr Pfisterville made our set up very easy and Mrs Pfisterville was very nice and especially hepful with boondocks information. We were busy with local family for 2 days but the time we spent on the site was great. Thanks for making the weekend that much more enjoyable.
Truly our best BD stay to date! Not only did we enjoy our 2 night stay driving through the picturesque rolling hills of MD in late October, we thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic couple and their sweet family. Felt welcomed right from the start and so happy we had the chance to chat and get tips and advice for our drive into Gettysburg, local fare and nearby scenic spots. We could not have asked for better hosts, truly! Looooooved this couple and hope to meet up again ... whether it be at their beautiful property or maybe even somewhere on the road. Added bonus - being a mom of three (grown) boys, I enjoyed the company of their three adorable grand daughters. It does a soul good to be around all that cuteness. Such a great family ... thank you for everything!
Extremely generous, responsive and friendly hosts. Very informative about the area and how to navigate DC. Wonderful stay.
Beautiful area with great accommodations. Welcoming hosts provided a nice stay with good conversation and tech sharing. Thanks so much!
One of the best experiences we have ever had. We were welcomed with the hostess rolling out the welcome mat by offering water hookup and shore power. She made us feel like honored guests but by the time we left we felt like family. They gave us recommendations to local attractions and shared their beautiful property with us including covered pavilion with beautiful views. We loved our time there and hated to leave our new friends at Pfisterville!
Pfisterville are most gracious and helpful hosts. the view from the top of this little knoll is spectacular. Greg even showed us Jupitor and Saturn in the early evening sky. Thank you again for a most enjoyable stay.
We loved our stay at Pfisterville. Nita was an amazing host, welcoming us to explore the grounds and making us feel like life long friends. The conversation flowed and we felt so relaxed. Nita and Gregs pups are the sweetest, even the goats wanted to greet us! We enjoyed every moment of our stay! They had great advice for us and helped us correct a minor issue we were having with our trailer - t drives much better! Thank you! We would love to stay again and meet up if your ever camping near by! All the best!
We enjoyed a peaceful night in Pfisterville with a kind, easy-going couple.
They even moved the goats out of the big pasture so we could exercise our dogs off lead!
We’d stay with them again in a heartbeat. I’d actually like to chat with them a bit more - they seem like really fun people.
We had a great stay, if only the rain and thunderstorms would have ended sooner than our last day! Gracious hosts made us feel comfortable from the start. Enjoyed meeting their daughter & super cute granddaughters. Of course, the 4 awesome dogs were a bonus & our dog Jake requests a return visit to get to know them better. We hope to return too when we can relax & share stories of our travels & all else. We highly recommend Pfisterville.
This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience, and Pfisterville was the perfect place to begin. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and kind, and took the extra time to answer all our questions and provide helpful tips. We left feeling like we made a life-long friendship!
Amazingly kind, gracious, and helpful hosts. I can't say enough to fully represent all of my appreciation for Pfisterville during my stay. =) In addition to personal appreciations, my dog also wants to extend his appreciation. He loved making new human friends and making friends with their four awesome dogs, who all let him join along in their playtime in the yard and the big fenced in pasture. He felt like just another member of their pack during our stay. =) I definitely hope I can return for another stay (and my dog requests it as well, HA).
We had a great visit to Pfisterville - first trip in our new (to us) travel trailer and first stay with Boondockers. Great hosts and the accommodations were perfect for our stay to visit family. Really appreciated the electric and water hookups, and their knowledge of the area was much appreciated. We will definitely be back!
I was able to stay at Pfisterville in the middle of a tropical storm. They live on top of a hill so no worries about flooding. It was unfortunate that they were also on vacation at the time so we didn’t get the chance to meet. Their communication was wonderful and I talked with Nita on the phone. What a friendly person!! She made sure that electric was available and I even text with their daughter to find a local restaurant for dinner! I highly recommend Pfisterville! You won’t be disappointed. I will definitely stay here again if my travels take me close!
Ty and I stayed at Pfisterville a couple of weekends ago, and I can't stop thinking about it. The hosts were very welcoming, even though they were out on the road traveling! It was our first experience boondocking, and a very good one overall.
My favorite thing about the weekend was the open land. We had a lot of space to let the dogs run around, and felt very safe. There are goats there, and the dogs weren't really sure what they were. There's a little pond full of goldfish, and our dogs went swimming.
It was easy to set up the RV. There are hook ups for water and electric. We had access to a pavilion and fire pit, but the heat of the summer kept us from really enjoying it.
We'd love to visit again in the fall when it's cooler and the leaves begin to change color, and when the hosts are there. We did meet some of their family, and that was lovely.
Thanks so much for a wonderfully peaceful short weekend on the way to our next stop. That could not have been any better. Exactly as described even with water and thankfully electric to cool down the 90 degree weekend. Fed the goats and ran our dog in the field til he dropped. We even got to go visit some downtown Frederick breweries. Wonderful stay and fantastic hosts. Thanks SO much!
It was a perfect evening. Always nice to be here except we missed seeing the two of you. Looking forward to seeing you in the future. Enjoy your travels.
Very accommodating hosts. 30A and water hookups offered which was very appreciated for A/C on a 90 degree day. Beautiful property that we were able to stroll around in the evening. Enjoyed meeting other members of the family, their dogs, and their friendly goats. We were also able to let our dogs run off leash in their large fenced pasture. We capped off the night on the swing in their nicely lit gazebo. Thanks Pfisterville for a great visit.
What an unexpected great experience - we were offered more of a camping spot down by the pond! It was private and allowed us to have our own fire and for our girls to catch, fish, tadpoles and frogs 🐸 ! We got to hang with the goats 🐐 for some added fun! Our hosts were wonderful- offered lots of suggestions for places to see and where to eat. They were gracious enough to provide fire wood, a can opener and nets and a buckets for fishing! We can’t wait to visit again in the fall! The only downside was the heat - which Mother Nature is to blame!
To say that we enjoyed our stay with pfisterville would be an under statement. Their hospitality is top quality in every way I hope to see them again. They were quite welcoming upon our arrival and fit our rig comfortably. Happily I can day the train sound didn’t bother us even once We also picked blueberries together again another pleasant experience. We left as closer friends than some of our own family
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Pfisterville. Wonderful location, fantastic hosts what more can you ask for. As a bonus the hosts shared their dogs and goats with us so much fun to be greeted with so much enthusiasm every time we returned. Locally we visited 2 breweries and took a couple of long rides in the country. We arrived as strangers and left as friends, we hope to see you again soon. Thanks so much for your hospitality.
Amazing - everything about this location was great. The hosts have a beautiful location and were very accommodating to us and our dog. We were welcomed and even sat around the campfire chatting. Now we just need to figure out another time to make it down for a longer visit.
We loved our stay here! Great host that we’d enjoy meeting at a campground anthems. Great people. They are the “GOAT” of BDW!! 🐐🏕
Spent 3 quiet and peaceful nights at Pfisterville. Wonderful hosts who made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Enjoyed saying hello to and feeding their adorable goats. Location is close to Gettysburg, Frederick, and DC. Must stop if you’re nearby.
Had a great visit with friends we first met at the 2020 New Years Eve Escapees Hangout in TX. Quiet, relaxing & beautiful.
I was on my way home from Virginia to New York during the Covid-19 lock down when I reached out to Pfisterville for a place to sleep. They were very understanding and accommodating. Beautiful property, quiet location. Even with social distancing, they were very hospitable and welcoming. Would stay here again.
Pfisterville gave us an incredibly warm welcome for our inaugural Boondockers experience! Their site is lovely, peaceful and easy to get to. The area is full of historical sites and pastoral drives through the countryside. We highly recommend Pfisterville
Our hosts made us feel so incredibly welcome. They have a beautiful property which is quiet and peaceful. You can visit the goats, play with their friendly dogs and walk down to the frog pond. We shared a wonderful fire and talked while watching the moon rise. It was a great time and we would love to come back again.
Great spot in beautiful countryside of farms and rolling hills. Hosts are gracious and kind. Parking spot is level. 4 legged friends double the welcome.
We stayed during the Covid Pandemic and a rainy day. Did not get to spend much time with our hosts. They went out of their way to make us welcome.
This was a beautiful place to stay, lovely views and cute goats in the back to visit. Hosts were very friendly and came right out to greet me and get me hooked up to electric. Parking was on concrete but a bit unlevel. They offered me boards to place under my tires but I used my leveling blocks. It was very quiet and peaceful. I very much enjoyed my visit and really appreciated being able to stay as I was traveling to family in NY during the lockdown.
This was our most wonderful stay at any Boondockers Welcome host. Greg and Nita are wonderful hosts. Their property is beautiful with goats that you can pet. They have 4 dogs that are extremely friendly. They came every morning to our motorhome to call on our dog to come out and play. Definitely a must if you are in the area.
We arrived just before dark and our hosts met us, while maintaining social distancing, and helped us settle in for the night. What a beautiful location. We wish we had more time to spend there and get to know our hosts. We are very grateful that they accepted our stay request in this difficult time. We could tell they wished they could be more social, but we all respected the social distancing suggestions. We highly recommend this location and great hosts.
Scenic location and wonderful hosts. We were on our way home from Florida with the covid 19 situation and were so grateful to have a safe spot to stay for the night. Our hosts would have liked to be social and give us a hug, but couldn't , under the circumstances, but we felt very welcome. We highly recommend this beautiful site.
We had met this couple at another boondockers location in Defuniak Springs.it was great to stay here at this fabulous location. There is great hiking in the area and are close to Harper's Ferry. They made us feel very comfortable and we recommend staying here if you are in the area. We look forward to coming back another time.
The water and electricity and board to level were all there waiting for me. I was greeted and checked on without it being intrusive ... and when I mentioned problems finding places to stay that were open this time of year, I was offered ideas I hadn't thought of. I appreciated their experience ... and their wonderful piece of property with a great view of the moon.
Made me comfortable and most hospitable for my short stay.
Our whole family from adults to kids to our dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pfistervile.
An easy access location in the beautiful Maryland countryside with plenty of things to do nearby. Their paved sheltered RV spot next to the barn was a perfect resting spot for 2 nights.
Our hosts were very helpful and it was great getting to know them. We had fun meeting their goats and their sweet granddaughters and our dogs had a blast playing with their dogs and romping in the large fenced in area. (Thank you to the goats and sheep for giving up their larger pasture for two days). 😊
Hopefully we will get to return when we are in the area again and maybe we can meet up in our travels in warmer climates over the winter. Thank you
First, I would like to apologise for the delayed review. We had family stuff going on and hadn't been online.
Second, we would like to express our gratitude for being an amazing BW host. We also enjoyed exploring the area. Thank you for everything!
Still a newbie and got expert help backing up and leveling the bus (something I've never done before). The water and electricity were just what I needed. They were available if I needed them. I benefitted from their experience.
Our very first experience with Boondocking and it was a Fabulous one ! This place is awesome, peaceful quiet and hosts are beyond amazing! We arrived it was dark due to the time of year, they helped us set up to ensure we are all ok, we had water, electricity as needed. Their dogs and our dog bonded right away. We could text them if we had any issues during the night. Got to visit their goats in the morning, and chat! We definitely recommend this place ,would come back again for sure as this was to short of a stay, only overnight! They provided us with good directions to continue our trip. We made new friends and hope we can have them for a visit one day! Thank you so much from the bottom of our heart!
What a beautiful location! Our hosts were very welcoming and gracious! We connected instantly and swapped boondocking experiences like we had known each other for years. The visit was too short but hopefully we will reconnect soon.
Navion Friends Forever
This was a great place to stay. It was easy to park our 5th wheel. They had water and 30 amp electric available. The property was beautiful. But what meant such a great deal to us was how friendly the hosts were! They made us feel very welcome and now we feel we have new friends! This was a real blessing to us. Thank you, Pfisterville!
Can't say enough good things about this stay. Felt like really good friends when we left. If you are fortunate enough to stay here you will remember it fondly.
For us this boondocking experience was a highlight in our travellife. What a pleasure staying at your home and let us being part of your family! We really enjoyed our stay and we hope we will meet you again. Thank you for your great hospitality!
By the way - not just the host, also the place is perfect for boondocking. We went for a hike to the near mountain park, also Gettysburg is not far.
Safe travels - see you in Texas!
What more could we say, we came as guest and we left feeling like family. This was our first time to use Boondockers Welcome and the bar has been set so high by Our host that I wish I had a space for 10 Stars.
Perfect hosts. They let us stay a extra nite. They both made sure that there was everything that we neeed. We had a great time visiting around the fire roasting marshmallows with thier lovely granddaughters. Very entertaining. If you ever get in thier area. Do not pass this stay up. .it is great.
Easy to find, easy to park! Our host was gracious and we enjoyed visiting. Loved getting a little dog fix since we left ours at home. Quiet and peaceful. Also really liked a visit from their goat! Thank you!
A wonderful stay. Had electric and water if needed. Could not have asked for a more beautiful setting and the nicest host. Loved hearing and seeing pictures of your Africa trip. Conversation was great. Loved your furry friends. Thanks again and looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent hosts with a beautiful property. I highly recommend. Thanks again for hosting.
I wish we could have stayed longer! Our hosts were extremely accommodating and very social. We spent lots of time chatting with them and enjoying the company of their 4 super friendly dogs and goats. The spot next to the barn is wonderful because it's shaded from the sun all afternoon, so we didn't even need the AC. Located less than 30 minutes from Gettysburg. This was such a peaceful place, just what we needed on our travels. I highly recommend stopping here if you like good company and a relaxing location. Thank you so much!
Staying with the Pfisters was an absolute pleasure. N is a good communicator and we texted back and forth as we made our way, on back roads, to their house. We visited and shared experiences the next morning (Saturday) and got some great tips about visiting Gettysburg. I just wish we had the energy to follow all their advice, which included the best places for Ice Cream and dinner.
G&N, when you get on the road... come and visit us in California!
Tailwinds, Judy and Marno
What a great stay at a beautiful location! We spent 2 days touring the area including Frederick and Gettysburg. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay. Plenty of room, our dog got to hang out with the goats. We are definitely planning a repeat visit. Thanks for the Pfabulous time!
The hosts have spent a lot of time in creating a super place for RVs to stay and they are wonderful people to visit with. We enjoyed the mornings from The pavilion which is an excellent view of all around. We got to visit with the goats, enjoyed the birds singing and the frogs croaking down by the pond. We spent two pack full days in Washington DC and the commute down there was a breeze.
Our hosts have such a beautiful home. They were so nice and we had such a wonderful time. We would love to go back.
Well we planned on staying for 1 night and ended up staying for 3. The information that we received from them was invaluable. We highly recommend starting with them and look forward to seeing them again.
These hosts went above and beyond when we stayed on their beautiful property. Full of info on things to see, places to eat, road/travel info. So enjoyed exchanging travel experiences with them. Just a joy to stay there.
I stayed in Pfisterville for a long weekend and it was a peaceful, blessed time. They have a paved area in front of the barn to accommodate the trailer that was perfect. Their nice dogs came around and my standard poodle had a blast with them. They were gracious with me and my puppy and it was truly a quiet time well spent away from home.
I had only one night but what a great place to spend it! Easy ti find, get into and settle! A warm, friendly welcome (by Nita), a paved, level pad, 30 amp and water and a beautiful view of the MD countryside. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks to Nita and Greg for their hospitality.
These hosts were really nice and accommodating . My dog was in heaven which is pretty much puts me in heaven . Beautiful yard and scenery.
Beautiful views from their hill top home. Wonderful conversation on many subjects. Plenty of local attractions to visit. Would like to return another day.
Thank you so much for opening your home to us on May 11. The property is serene and beautiful and we enjoyed meeting you both and the pups. Until we meet again. Cheers!
We had a great stay on “the farm.” Hosts were great and the kids loved the dogs!!
We've only ever met nice people through our boondockers stays, but the Pfisters take the cake. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of at their site, but also made sure we knew of the best things to do in the area and shared meals with us. As for the site itself, beautiful rural setting, lots to do in the area including Gettysburg. Easy to get to and 4 adorable dogs to play with 😍 and goats!
We can't say enough about how great our stay was. Happy to know we have a wonderful place to return to when we get back to Maryland!
While I wasn’t able to meet the actual hosts of the property, their daughter was very helpful.
The property was beautiful, with plenty of space for my dogs to run around. Electric, water and WiFi. Can’t ask for more!
Would highly recommend a stop here if you’re looking to explore Gettysburg.
We had a very quick overnight stay on this beautiful land. They had the best communication, making sure we were aware of traffic and weather. They helped us ease into our spot and we LOVED their fenced in area to let our dogs run, explore and play with their dogs. We hope we can come back and spend more time getting to know these generous, kind people!
Good communication and quick responses to our texts. Directions for arrival excellent and we were met by the host who assisted with our getting settled. We had some friendly chats and toured their RV. Nice unit. Our stay was quick as we left before daylight, yet it was very pleasurable. Nice family, friendly dogs and all are invited "Down to the beach". We really look forward to hosting them on their trips thru. Leslie & Scott.
We had a great stay at Pfisterville, the host's were so very accommodating, allowing us to stay on a short notice. Such lovely people! It was a terrific bonus to meet the goats and sheep and sweet pets! Overall our visit was excellent!
Parked at the top of a hill with great view. Large area with goats and dogs. Very friendly family.
Very nice and friendly, great spot to stay. Beautiful area, enjoyed a evening of crabs with them and got to meet the new puppy.
Great hosts, thanks for the short notice acceptance of our late request ( turnaround time only 2hrs)a real blessing. Goats, star gazing, and lots of helpful suggestions for our cookstove problems and local sites Thanks again.
This was our first boondockers welcome stay, and it was a great introduction to what it is all about! They were so helpful and responsive even though we contacted them last minute after not being able to find a spot in the campgrounds nearby.
They provided us with a great spot to spend the night, and good conversation about travel, Alaska, vintage RVs, and more :)
Very nice couple. We had a great time with them. Chatted on their beautiful patio for hours. Played with the goats and loved being in such an expansive, lush area with so much room. They helped us solve some leak issues and offered us every tool to do the job. Can’t say enough nice things about this lovely ciuple and their sweet daughter. The perfect Boondockers Welcome experience!!
Host greeted us enthusiastically, introduced us to the goats and dogs and helped us troubleshoot some RV leaks! Just the best kind of hosts possible ! Plenty of room on a paved driveway and with a stunning view of their hilly, lush, country setting. They were very accommodating and endlessly generous.
We stayed here for 2 nights - the site is beautiful and the area is quiet. Close to many attractions in the DC area. The family was very welcoming and made our stay awesome.
The host couple and their children and grandchildren are just wonderful. They were most welcoming and guided us into our spot near their barn.
They have 2 dogs and a grand dog (that they’re watching while their son is on his honeymoon) and lovely goats and a baby doll sheep.
They invited us up to the patio to chat and we stayed up past all of our bedtimes!!!
There is a really nice gazebo that you can sit in a hanging swing and watch the goats.
We will definitely return in the future, when we’re in the area.
