Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe have parking for several large rigs here at our business. We do have a single 30A electric hook up on a first come, first served basis. Contact us ahead of time for 30A availability.
We are a manufacturing company so keep in mind that Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm there may be some machinery noise and the sound of an occasional delivery truck. Weekends and nights are quiet, except for any road noise you may hear.
Plan to arrive at our place no later than 8pm.
Although the Boondocking (parking) is free, I do charge a nominal fee of $5 for electricity and water hookup.. Payment is in cash only. If you you have a generator, you are more than welcome to use it!
I gladly accept pets, but you must clean up after them. Barking dogs don't make great neighbors so please leave them inside your rig if they tend to bark excessively. Otherwise, we have tons of open areas to walk your pet with lots of grassy areas!
Smoking is allowed as long as you pick up your cigarette butts. I don't smoke and I don't like cigarette butts thrown about.
Do not wash clothes and leave laundry outside to dry.
Clean your boondocking space and leave it as you found it.
Children are very welcome, but remember this is a place of business and you are ultimately responsible for your kids!
Checkout time is 10am
Our business property is easily accessible from Highway 64.
There's plenty of room to park your tow car next to your rig!
We are a full-time RV family and travel often in our motorhome, but get in touch with us and we'll see if we can accommodate you!
First Monday Trade Days, Splash Kingdom Water Park, Yesterland Farm, and many good restaurants.
We do enjoy staying here. Our host is absolutely the best!! We will be back.
AvidExplorers is a wonderful host. Greeted us and gave clear instructions and guided us to the spot. Has a great big fenced yard so dogs got to run around. So need to meet new people.
Grounds are kept up.
This was a perfect stay. We were planning on just staying one night and then going to Dallas for the weekend, but we decided to save some money and stay here and just drive the hour to Dallas. It was well worth it. The host gave us a wonderful tour of his business and we had the pleasure of meeting his children. They are a very well travelled family and it was lovely to hear about all their experiences. We ended up following their youtube accounts and are excited to keep in touch!
This was a nice peaceful location, easy to park and great host. Would recommend!
We were greeted at the gate by our host (in the rain!) and led to our spot. 30 amp and water was so nice. We even got to go to First Monday! There is an awesome hiking trail at Mill Creek lake next to the Walmart and have a meal at the Bean and Burger in town (great salad bar, bean bar and ice cream bar). Thank you Jerrid for your kindness and hospitality. We will see you again on our next trip through.
We called the day of our one night stay. AvidExplorers got back to us immediately and confirmed and let us know he was texting direction. We were greeted upon our arrival and all was well. Will stay there again. Thank you so much.
We enjoyed a nice stay here! Close to amenities and great host.
Was greeted warmly by host upon arrival, and had a wonderful conversation. Had an opportunity to briefly attend the Trade Days, which was very cool to see! Easy in/out location, friendly host, and plenty room for the dogs. Will definitely stay again when passing thru.
The host wasn't available to meet us but still gave us super simple directions via text. His employee was still there to guide us in getting setup and hooked up.
This space is very close to restaurants and the local downtown area. we would stay here again on our future travels. thank you for letting us stay here.
Nice spot off the road but conveniently close to our path.
Host was nice and I enjoyed the tour of the factory and stories of his many travels.
Yet another amazing Boondockers Welcome host. Our host was generous and friendly, and his father gave us a little tour around the business. Wonderful people, and a very accommodating location. We stayed one night and didn't even need to unhook our tow car to pull in and out. Many thanks!! <3
We were met by the host as we pulled in. Greeting us with warm Southern hospitality he quickly directed us to a nice spot where we settled in for the night. He was gracious enough to give us a tour of his factory. We enjoyed our visit and enjoyed learning about him , his family, and his business. A great place to visit, a convenient place to stay, and good conversation.
First, I would like to apologise for the delayed review. We had family stuff going on and hadn't been online.
Second, we would like to express our gratitude for being an amazing BW host. We also enjoyed Canton. Thank you for everything!
We arrived when our host was away but his partner helped get us parked and hooked up. We met our host later that evening and he gave us a tour the next day of his factory. My kids were thrilled!
Even though this is close to a busy road, we didn't feel unsafe and it was not noisy, except for normal shop noise, which we knew to expect.
We definitely appreciate being able to stay and meet our host family! Would highly recommend.
A nice space to stay. We were welcomed with open arms - great southern hospitality!
Very down to earth helpful host. Enjoyed getting to know him.
Very nice family! Very nice stay. Close to everything. I would recommend staying here
We were traveling from Hattiesburg to Amarillo and this was a perfect midpoint stop, very close to I 20. Host accommodated us on very short notice on a holiday weekend! We enjoyed chatting with him and had a very comfortable stay! Would definitely stop here again if in the area. Thank you for hosting!
Excellent host with great accommodations for overnight boondocking. We had so much in common with our hobbies and business it was an absolute pleasure to visit. Would highly recommend this host location. I would like to extend a personal thank you for the amazing Hospitality! Until next time.
We arranged to meet about 5 PM, arrived at 5:10, Jarrid directed us to the parking spot with 30 amp oower, running water and sewer drain.
We had a great conversation about our various rv experiences.
Evrything we could expect from a boondockers host.

Yes, AvidExplorers offers a good parking place while shopping the Canton First Monday Trade Days, and seeing the beautiful East Texas countryside. But more importantly, AvidExplorers offers the opportunity to meet a host who has been RV'ng since he was 10 years old, has traveled extensively with his young family nationally & internationally, whose family are full-timers, who flys his own airplane, and is full of interesting stories to share with you.
Friendly, welcoming, informative and entertaining. You can't beat that!
Thank you. We will visit again.
Another great stay with AvidExplorers! Quiet calm and secure; (great for a 'wimpy van camper' who ditched the RV this trip!! lol :) Thanks again for such a wonderful place to stay.

We were met and warmly welcomed. After a few minutes of introduction then setting up our coach. It’s quiet here at night, we had a great night sleep.
Thank you to the AvidExplorers for making a terrific place for us to come to.
We had a wonderful visit with AvidExplorers. We consider them "family" now. We always have fun with boon docking peeps as we can compare notes and get new ideas. Look up their youtube site (Avid Explorers). The son is giving his dad a run for the $$ with his own site. Homeschooling at it's finest. We were visiting relatives, but we also came on First Monday Trade Days so we took that in one day.
I'd also recommend Alex's Greek Cafe & Buttermilks. Greek food was a surprise. The best I've had since Nashville.
I had a great stay with a very helpful host in Avid Explorer. Be sure to get to know him a bit - he's a very interesting fellow. I think he really went out of his way to make my stay very comfortable. Hope to see you guys again soon.
Fantastic stay from start to finish. Our host was not going to be home when we arrived, so he was kind enough to send a video greeting telling us where to park....We were greeted with a warm smile, a firm handshake, and a very entertaining tour of his business. We enjoyed chatting with him about their travels and wished we had had more time to chat.
Canton, Texas has lots to offer for the wayfarer, but the best is Boondock Canton where lots of Texas hospitality is at it best. Going out of their way too help fellow travelers is as big as Texas. AAA+++
We met AvidExplorers after beaming a fulltime traveling family just 2 days prior! They were the most warm, welcoming couple to introduce us to the fulltime traveling family lifestyle. We were exhausted and overwhelmed those first few days on the road, and they gave us so much grace as we adapted, and answered MANY questions! I couldn't imagine jumping into this lifestyle without such supportive fellow travelers! I can't recommend them enough, as hosts- and as friends!
Great hosts, great ammeneties, great restful stays. As repeat visitors during a challenging medical stay in Texas, our Canton hosts showed us every kindness and we've been so thankful; we can't recommend this caring family's Boondock spot highly enough!
We can't say enough about our appreciation of Boondock Canton's comfortable ammenities and kind hosts! A great spot to stay, close to all the Dallas city offerings, but out of the polluted city air. Very comfortable, very kind and welcoming!
AvidExplorer's family have kindly provided a number of nights' respite during our medical stay in Dallas. Kind folks, a quiet spot with good power and internet, makes for a great rest. Many thanks, AvidExplorers!
My wife and I are very happy to be repeat guests because this is a safe, comfortable spot with great services, with a wonderful family who are warm, welcoming and kind. Grateful to our kind host family for another peaceful weekend respite!
Very welcoming people who helped my husband park and showed us their YouTube channel. Their kids played and sang with ours! They are quite an amazing family and we can’t wait to camp with them when they aren’t working! The husband is funny and his wife painted my daughters nails.
Travelling to Dallas for urgently needed medical care for my wife has been full of some incredible stresses, but Boondocking has really helped out. In particular, the folks at Boondock Canton welcomed us on short notice, and gave us a real refuge of peace and recuperation throughout a busy long weekend. They had a nice nearly level site for us in the shelter of their building, with all the mod cons; 30 amp power, which was really great... we were able to cook dinner without turning off the AC!; water (and our kind host offered us a nice new RV hose when it looked like ours was a little short); and really good solid wifi, which made doing our medical research and keeping in touch with family back home so nice! We had solids sleeps every night we were there, despite the fact that it was a busy special event weekend in Canton. Canton, BTW, looks like a nice little town with a few fun things to do if you have the time. My wife had some medical troubles while we were there and our hosts were as kind and generous as could be. We weren't able to socialize because of the health issues but they were understanding and positive, very kind. We couldn't recommend these good people and their lovely spot more highly!
