We are in a beautiful area of East Tennessee between the Great Smokey Mountains and the Cumberland Mountains. Our property is exactly 50 miles from the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. We live in Grainger County, known for our “world famous Grainger County Tomatoes”. This year our Grainger County Tomato Festival is hosting “ Trace Adkins” and all the tomatoes you can eat!

Roe was great!
She greeted us when we were late, settled us. She was understanding. The next day, she took the time with the boy to feed the goats. He loved it.
Thanks for the great welcome

Pleasant stay in pretty surroundings. Thanks Joe for the 25e highway recommendation. Gorgeous drive.
Great little inviting and tranquil setting with goats and chickens and a view of the mountains. Wish we had both felt better so we could have spent more time with them, both delightful people. God bless this home!
Roe met me as I drove up and guided me into a spot in her yard. She also gave me the use of her 30 amp circuit for the 4 days I was there waiting for Florence to finish her rampage thru the North Carolina coast. She was a wonderful host, even having her daughter buy emergency replacement fuses for me and offering to shop should I need anything else.
Her place is somewhat remote if you don't have transportation but it's beautiful country and she has a small "farm menagerie" (pygmy goats, a pot-bellied pig, chickens) giving it a country atmosphere. If you're passing thru that area or just want to alight somewhere while you figure out your next move, it's ideal!
Roe & Joe have done a great job of preparing their spare yard for RV Guests.
Also, they are both terrific people & a pleasure to visit with.
Their location is only ~40 miles from Knoxville along a scenic drive.
Thank you for your hospitality & kindness.
We were able to stay at Bakers Acre in beautiful Rutledge. The grounds are extremely well kept and it was delightful to have access to the spacious acre! When we were there one of the goats had a baby and we were delighted to share that experience with them. Both hosts were very accommodating in creating an electrical hookup as we were their first guests. We stayed in a 30 foot motorhome during the months of November, December, and January 2015/2016. Loved the quaint local area and toured the attractions extensively. We highly recommend this host and will definitely visit again when we're in the area.
