Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this host7 undeveloped pine covered acres. Adjacent to pasture land.
No Drugs, no smoking, no vaping, no trash (please take you trash with you), no dumping. Dry camping only. We are in a forest so fires in fire pit only. Generators okay. Tent okay. Friendly pets okay.
1/2 mile off the highway on a maintained dirt road then 200 yards on a narrow gravel tree lined driveway with at least one sharp left turn. There is a small turn around at the end of the road.
Overall length of your RV (including the vehicle towing your trailer) needs to be under 25’. Any towed vehicle (not needed to pull your trailer) will need to be detached driven in. You will be able to park close to your rig. Our area is accessed through a narrow road lined with trees and one spot with a hard left turn. So Class A, B, and C's under 25' should be fine. However trailers won't be able to access the area.
We do a lot of last minute trips in the summer but feel free to contact us we hope to be able to accommodate you.
We are at the first rise of the black hills of Wyoming about 12 miles from Devil’s Tower, about 60 miles to Sturges, SD. Crazy Horse and Mt. Rushmore Monuments, Custer State Park, Deadwood and Hill City are alll within 100 miles of scenic rolling hills (and sometimes buffalo sightings).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts provided directions and guidance upon our arrival. It's very quiet, with trees to provide protection from the sun. Great views and occasional sightings of wildlife. Our sincerely thanks to our hosts!
It was great to visit here. While we only got to meet Tom, we were grateful for the opportunity to visit with him and stay here.
The hosts are superb. Communication was easy. I did make the mistake of going up to the house upon entering the gate but did not disturb anybody as Tom drove up right at that moment. But for the mosquitoes due to the excessive rains, I would have enjoyed the outdoors a little more. Tom was very gracious and helpful. I left very early in the dark to get to the Black Elk Mountain trailhead for my climb. Would have loved to have met Pax. Better luck some other time.
Tom has beautiful acreage in rural Wyoming. It was very quiet. After a hard rain we woke up to the sun shining and the birds singing. Tom was very accommodating and helped us get in to a place to park. One word of caution, if you have a large or y’all unit you may have difficulty accessing this site. Our truck camper is relatively tall and it was a tight fit for us. Overall a great experience. Thanks!
Tom is a very nice person and we enjoy to stay there to visit the Devil's tower.
It was very nice spending two night in this area. It was close to Devil Tower and the Black Hills and made a nice jumping off point. Tom was great, and I would have like to have met Pax, but she had grandmotherly duties. How wonderful!
I enjoyed my time with Pax and Tom. They are great people. My dog had someone to play with and got some exercise. They have a great piece of property. Dakota, my dog, watched the deer for a few hours. All in all I would stay there again.
Wonderful rural spot. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Perfect base for Devils tower.
Thanks!
Hosts were very welcoming. They gave us many advices concerning different tourist attractions. Very quiet and charming place.
We strongly recommend this boondocking!
Pax+Tom were great with their communication. I got a response in less than an hour, and we were in regular communication by text as we got close to their property. Very friendly, and they gave us some great recommendations for local eateries near Devil's Tower.
Thanks again Pax + Tom for a beautiful stay on your wonderful property! I enjoyed the absolute quiet of the nights and close proximity to many sights in the area. Highly recommend these hosts :-)
