In-town space is a quiet street location in front of my home, max of 72hrs by city ordinance. Guest Wifi is available, just ask for the password if you desire to use it.
Plenty of room for you to park a tow/towed vehicle in my paved driveway, please keep to the far left side of the driveway. It's a bit too angled to park an RV, but could work with a small camper van.
May be able to provide an extension cord with notice and a potable water hose to fill a tank(but not too be connected). There is also an RV dump station nearby. Don't charge a fee for electricity, but ask for a donation to www.EFF.org instead.
If we don't respond to a stay request, please don't be offended, we are probably out traveling.
Please NO generators, lawnchairs, barbecues, extended awnings/slideouts, external tanks on the ground, loud music, smoking or parties.
Please try to park as close to the curb as you can without impeding your ability to enter/exit your rig.
If you are parking in the driveway, please stay to the far left on the concrete and not drive or park in the rocks.
The following is a direct quote by Boondockers Welcome regarding power usage by guests, if using your A/C or electric heat during your stay:
“Donation Guidelines for Guests: If a host hasn't requested payment and you've used AC or heating, (offer $5 to $10 per night depending on the size of your rig). Offer $3 to $5 per night - especially if you stayed more than one night - if your electric use was minimal.”
Pull-through parking available*, It's street parking.
You are welcome to park your tow vehicle in my driveway, on concrete, to the far left(south).
Availability varies, just send a request and if we are around we will let you know if the space is available.
Please don't be offended if we don't respond, as we are likely out traveling.
Lots of local hiking, space history museum, Toy Train Depot, White Sands National Monument, Alamogordo Zoo, Valley of Fires. Trails in Cloudcroft are nice when it's too hot at the lower elevations, when it's cold enough, they also have New Mexico's only natural ice skating rink.
A bit farther away but worth visiting, Carlsbad Caverns NP, White Sands Missile Range Museum, Riverbend Hot Springs in TorC, Ruidoso, Prehistoric Trackways National Monument in Las Cruces.
Will was terrific. Was ready for me when I arrived. He had power ready for me and I was set up in no time. The location is very quiet in a secure neighborhood. I realized I was having some challenges with the brakes and bearings on my rig. Will checked with a neighbor who recently had some similar work done to his vehicle and got me an excellent recommendation. I had the work completed and even found a few unknown, but could have become very serious, issues that were resolved. The shop was efficient, friendly, collaborative and fair in their pricing. Due to getting the work done, I wasn't able to leave that day so Will extended his hospitality for a 2nd day. A very positive Boondocker's Welcome experience. Thanks, Will.
Will and his son William were great hosts when we visited Alamagordo recently. Will is very knowledgeable on everything the area has to offer, especially the many hiking trails in the nearby mountains. William is an expert card shark who immediately roped Mandy into a high-stakes card game. Good thing there was no actual money involved, or we would have left Alamagordo with empty pockets! Thank you Will and William for your hospitality!
It was short and sweet, but none the less perfect. We were parked on the street in a quiet neibourhood where we got a good night sleep. Thanks Will!
WillCamp was a friendly host and very accommodating. We had some nice conversations when I was there. Thank you WillCamp.
We had an amazing time in Alamogordo! The views were breathtaking and there was plenty to keep us busy around town.
The host was very accommodating and had great suggestions for places to visit, we hope to see them again some day.
The white sand dunes were insanely beautiful and the space museum was very interesting. Come visit Alamogordo if you can!!
