We wished that we had more time to enjoy the area as Bob's property is in a beautiful location. My husband had a mishap on his bike so our trip was cut short but Bob was so accommodating and helpful and I don't know if I could have hooked up our trailer without him. Thanks Bob for your hospitality and levelheadedness, I still remember you saying it was marathon and not a sprint.
Friendly hosts, beautiful property. Hope to visit again in the future.
This is a quiet, lovely spot, with no cell reception but a lot of charm. Our host greeted us and was very hospitable and answered all of our questions. Our spot was right beside a creek so we had peaceful water sounds to enjoy.
We enjoyed 4 nights at Buttermilk Creek. The owners are very nice and personable. The property is quiet and peaceful with a soothing creek in the background. We enjoyed the turkeys and deer wandering by. This location is a good home base to explore the Twisp river area. We would recommend a stay here.
A very cool property and exceptional hosts. Loved having my coffee sitting next to the little pond and fell in love with the SAR dog. Thanks for having us.
In the lovely pine forested mountains about 12 miles West of dear little Twisp (on Hwy 20), WA, , we overnighted with a man for all seasons. Builder Bob is a local firefighter, along with his wife, a mountain man of 30+ years. We were gratified to learn about how his community pulls together in fire emergencies. While enjoying our camping dinner beside a babbling stream, we were delighted by a pair of wild turkeys and their brood of 8 chicks. Although spotty, we had WIFI, but no Verizon nor AT&T cell service. No worries. Highly recommend host Bob. Delightful stay. Many thanks. ;-)
What a gem for those willing to drive out of town into forest land. The site has a rolling creek with a picnic table nearby. Water is made easily available. Kind hosts that respect privacy though make themselves accessible.
Twisp Lookout Mountain is highly recommended with a hike up to the old lookout tower.
We had exactly what we were needing, a very quiet, relaxing stay in the woods:) Very Friendly host and very accommodating and thankful for the suggestions on the area and the local watering holeš. Plenty of room for our motorhome and jeep. Nice having the big circle driveway. We very much enjoyed our stay and the areaš.
Just as described by others-feels secluded and the brook is lovely. We stayed 3 days, explored the area by car one day and just enjoyed a relaxing day the next. The shade and breeze made a very warm day comfortable. Our 30 ft Airstream trailer fit fine and all roads were good (directions are spot on). Thanks Bob for your hospitality and your dedication to Search and Rescue efforts.
Got away from it all and enjoyed the tranquility of a delightful wooded spot next to a clear mountain fed stream. Hosts were very nice and accommodating, a picnic table was provided. Went biking on the Twisp River Loop, which starts at their doorstep. Spent 2 peaceful nights there. ATT & T-Mobile, no service even with a TOGO. Would definitely stay here again.
A positive experience. Bob was very accommodating during our 3 days there. The location was quiet, peaceful and very dark. Great place to explore the Twisp River valley from. We would definitely stay there again.
Due to blown tire we arrived late and after dark. Host was very welcoming. The setting is beautiful as we parked next to a stream and and looked out at a beautiful wooded setting with no visable neighbors. The Host couple were wonderful and the entire stay was more than we could have hoped for.
What a neat place; quiet, greeted by a squirrel and 3 deer in a park-like setting of huge timber. The trip in was very scenic - small farms in a beautiful valley. The host greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
BobRivard was responsive and greeted us upon arrival. We only stayed overnight as a break from traveling before heading over the North Cascades hwy. The parking spot was level, quiet other than the pleasant bubbling creek lulling us to sleep.
We stayed 3 nights at Buttermilk Creek. We truly appreciated the peace and quiet; the bubbling creek nearby; the remote feel of the space (thought hosts' home was nearby and the Town of Twisp only a few miles for supplies). Great fishing was only a few miles away up the hill. Our hosts were welcoming and non-intrusive. The Methow Valley is SO serene and full of nice folks. Thank you BobRivard. We appreciated being able to stay on your beautiful property
We enjoyed our stay. Our host was very hospitable. The site overlooked a brook and was very quiet and private.
If youāre looking for a quiet, forest setting next to a babbling brook, look no further. This place is idyllic and Bob is a great host. He told us about a small mountain lake nearby where we spent several more nights. We love this area and highly recommend Buttermilk Creek.
BobRivard and his wife are friendly, welcoming folks. Their place is quiet and serene with a brook running alongside the RV sites. Enjoyed our stay and exploring the area.
We had a nice level spot for our RV, in a peaceful location. Set our camp chairs up by a little creek that runs through the property and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Very nice host!
Bob and Heather are gems. They served us waffles and coffee when we woke up and they have the two cutest dogs ever. Highly recommend staying with them.
Nice, quiet spot a few miles out of Twisp along a babbling brook. Bob came to greet us soon after we arrived. A few miles up the road is the Blackpine Lake area. Great Saturday morning market in town. Thanks for allowing us to stay!
Patrick and Josie
we had wonderful host. Made us feel right at home on their beautiful property. We are so grateful for folks like these to share a piece of there seclusion with us. If you get out their way be sure and stop and enjoy these very interesting and engaging folks. We had a partially shaded spot, very level. We had electric and water available , and a nice stream that could lull you to sleep. Very nice hiking near by as well.
We were hooked up with a beautiful hike. Thanks so much to these very special host.
