Quiet Oasis

Birch Grove was a quiet restful overnight stop after getting off the ferry in N. Sydney. Directions were perfect, and the site was plenty spacious to turn around in. Easy in and out. Host was very gracious and even offered to show us where to pick wild blueberries. So sorry we didn't have time to stay longer. Strongly recommend this beautiful place.

Great spot, easy to find, good location to tour from

Anne and Mel were good host, invited us to their campfire and ment family. Allowed us to come in early and still stay until August 1 to catch ferry to Newfoundland. I looked around area, very nice old coal mine reopened in area, miners museum as well as close to ferry to Newfoundland. We hope to see them in the 1000 island area to return this favour. Great spot

A very warm welcome from our host Melvin and his wife Anne
Melvin had the fire going and offered his pool for a swim.
We had a lovely visit around the fire and enjoyed a brief walk about the property in the morning
We would be pleased to host them should they venture to southwestern. Ontario

A great place to boondock

This is truly a great place to boondock. There is easy access to the site and plenty of room to park. It's located in a quiet rural community. Our host greeted us when we arrived and invited us to sit around the camp fire and visit. The next morning we took a long walk around a large field behind the house with lots of wildflowers in bloom and picked blueberries as we strolled along. We enjoyed our visit very much and would love to return sometime.
