We have a large blacktop area. It is very quiet here with very little traffic on our country road. There is a large lawn and also a wooded area.
No smoking or alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs no loud music
Blacktop with hills and some sharp turns but we drive our 40 ft Vectra pulling a pickup with no problem.
Next to the rig
We will be doing several last minute trips but we would love to host you if we are home. Please check to see if we are available to have guests.
Gettysburg, Hershey park, Utz snack plant, Lancaster Co
Wonderful hosts! Had ice cream and conversation on the back porch. Great friendly couple. I'll stop again someday. Level parking on asphalt. 2 bars of Verizon. Plenty of room to get turned around. Thanks again for your hospitality!
Excellent hosts! Ran out to greet us felt like we were long lost family. Directed us to our spot and we enjoyed sitting outside listening to the night sounds. Accommodated us very last minute which we greatly appreciated. Especially loved being able to sleep in after a hectic week. Coffee, tea and lots of stories getting to know each other in the morning. Thank you so much! * Note to hosts: keep the recipe for the zucchini pizza. Excellent! TY
WOW another great host thru BW. Very quiet country stay. Great set up and host were so nice. Love the evening chit chat on the porch enjoying ice cream. Couldn't get any better. Definitely will stay again if in this area. Thank you very much. "HPYTRLS" and hope to see you down the road. 🚙 🏕
Our stay at Pigeon Hill Nest was way more than we could’ve ever expected. The hosts met us upon arrival to show us to our spot, a nice secluded area. Our family toured the UTZ potato chip factory and Gettysburg during our stay. We enjoyed ice cream on the back porch one night and great conversation. Our girls enjoyed the yard and wanted to stay longer. We will surely return when in the area again. Their hospitality was top notch. We are thankful for our new friends.
Very good hosts who were there to meet us and guided us to where we were going to stay. Would recommend staying here to anyone.
The Pilgrims are exceptional hosts. They made us feel right at home from the start. We really enjoyed our conversation on the back porch the first night. The ice cream offered was a delicious surprise. We will be back. This might be a repeat reference, but we want to be sure word is getting out.
Our stay at Pigeon Hill Nest was wonderful. We enjoyed the opportunity to see the area, visit Gettysburg and we had the time to visit with the wonderful couple that hosted us.
Hosts are very hospitable and helpful. We visited Lancaster and Amish country. There are some steep hills and tight curves going in but we had no trouble pulling and parking our 30’ trailer. We would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area.
A beautiful, quiet location nestled in the hills of Pennsylvania. The hosts go above and beyond their call of duty. They love sharing what they have been blessed with. We had wonderful RV conversations plus more enjoying laughter together. "May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26
We really enjoyed our stay with The Pilgrims! They were so accommodating and their property in the rolling hills of PA is nice and peaceful. We will definetly be back when in the area!!!
We could not have had a nicer stay! The Pilgrims were warm, welcoming, kind and very helpful. We so enjoyed getting the opportunity to visit with them and get to know them It is really the people you meet that make traveling wonderful and The Pilgrims made this part of our trip very special!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Spring Grove. There is beauty everywhere. And a great diner just around each curve. We hope to come back to stay again, just could not get enough of the warm welcome and hospitality. I feel as thought we have new friends in Amish country. Thank you
We had a lovely stay at this perfect location. The hosts were so very nice to us. We would like to return when we can sit down and have some good conversation with the hosts. Thanks so much for having us.
Pigeon Hill Nest is a wonderful place to hang your hat for a few days, rest or take in some sights. Nestled in the rolling hills, it is a bit of paradise.
Everything is exactly as described. We were warmly greeted by our host upon arriving and they helped us quickly get set up. If you have a big rig, rest assured there is plenty of room to maneuver your rig around. If you have solar panels you will love this site. The site is perfect for catching rays.
Our hosts enjoy traveling, and we enjoyed swapping stories with them the night we arrived.
You will be warmly received by your host, the Pilgrims, and you will certainly enjoy your camping site.
We highly recommend Pigeon Hill Nest. Our hope is that our paths will cross again in the near future. Gettysburg National Park and President Eisenhower home is about 20 miles from here. Highly recommend these attractions, but plan to spend the whole day.
A wonderful couple! We spoke for hours. A beautiful property with a great parking area as well. Thanks for the stay.
This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience, and wow, what an amazing pair of hosts.
They made us feel incredibly welcome and treated us like family!
They were able to tell me the best way to get there to avoid a killer hill.
Very roomy place to park, and helped me get the truck all situated when we arrived.
Enjoyed several pleasant conversations and they were so kind to invite my family to enjoy some ice cream with them one of the nights, and shared with us some vegetables from their garden (dont think I tasted a better tomato)
I'm looking forward to coming around this way next year to hopefully stay with this awesome couple for a few days.
We immediately connected with G&M, they are welcoming and friendly.
We enjoyed sharing stories on the porch over a glass of fresh Meadow Mint Tea. They shared corn, tomato and cucumber, fresh picked from their vegetable garden. There are many colorful birds at the feeders and beautiful flowers all around. A very peaceful location.
Pigeon Hill Nest is a great location for visiting historic Gettysburg.
When we were leaving they gave us good directions for our trip south to avoid the city areas.
We hope to catch up with them in our travels and in Florida.
It was a pleasure to stay with the Pilgrims and it was great fun to explore their “Three Hills”. A gorgeous location! Their hospitality was second to none and we had such a fine time visiting that it was hard to leave. Thanks so much, M and G for everything. We will sure give you a call if we come this way again , M&J
As gracious and pleasant a couple as one can imagine. We enjoyed our many visits with Glenn and Mim and especially the opportunity to view the beautiful 1958 Chrysler Imperial. Anyone in the area would be advised to look them up and I certainly hope they can visit us in Kansas one day.
For our first stay overnight with a Boondockers host, our experience could not have been better. Glenn and Miriam welcomed us, provided an electrical hookup, drinking water, and restful conversation. The space provided was level, paved, with plenty of room for our 25-foot trailer and pickup truck. We found it comfortable to stay hitched for the night. They shared their back porch and yard with us, as well as a beautiful, cool, and quiet Pennsylvania afternoon. The surrounding area is serene, peaceful, and semi-rural, with woods and cleared cropland, rolling hills, small streams, and magnificent vistas opening around every turn in the road. We hope that on our next trip to Pennsylvania we will be able to stay with Glenn and Miriam again.

This was our first experience with Boondockers Welcome and we could not have had a better experience! Our hosts were amazing! So kind and welcoming, and their site for us just lovely!
We enjoyed a peaceful few nights complete with fireflies and beautiful birds. We also had the opportunity to go into Spring Grove and Hanover for some exploring including the Utz chip factory tour!
We enjoyed so much meeting our hosts, who invited us for dessert the last night of our stay.
We are very grateful!
This is a nice a quiet place to sleep. Our hosts were wonderful. We had a great time there. Level spot. Easy to get into. We would definitely stay here again. Hope we cross paths down the road. Wonderful couple.
Glenn and Miriam are the nicest people!
They helped us with water issues we were having, had great conversations, gave travel tips.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Pilgrims. Fabulous, friendly, welcoming and generous people. We felt very special when we were invited to share Thanksgiving with them and 20 family members. A wonderful and memorable experience. Thanksgiving is not celebrated in Australia.. John taught family to throw a boomerang which was fun. G recommended a wonderful mechanic, and gave us lots of local info. We shared family, life and travel experiences over coffee. Cannot believe we have known Pilgrims for only 4 days - it feels like years. Hope sometime, somewhere we will meet again. A great place to stay if you pass through the area..
This is a very quiet, peaceful spot in the Pennsylvania countryside. The hosts are very friendly, offering any help we might have needed. If you are in the area you will love your stay here!
It was a pleasure staying with Pilgrims at Pigeon Hill Rest. I had a wonderful time talking with them and sharing stories about their travels and mine. I also really enjoyed walking around the area near their place, a beautiful example of Pennsylvania farm country. All in all a perfect stay.
We had the privilege of staying with G&M for a couple of nights. They are friendly and helpful people. We enjoyed staying with them very much. If you have the opportunity to stay here, take it. You too can enjoy the peaceful area and hospitable hosts. We are looking forward to meeting up with them again.
These folks are as good as it gets, super friendly and welcoming. And the boondock site was as good as it gets. We were even lucky enough to have been invited over for dessert which made for a really nice evening. Wish we could have stayed longer, hope to pass through again soon to visit our new friends.
I had a very brief stay. They are very friendly people a d found a level place for me to set up even though they had other Boondockers staying. They offered electric and water. I was very pleased with the quiet surrounding. Thanks Glenn for accommodating me!
We were greeted by a lovely couple at the driveway. They helped us set up and plug in. Their property was beautiful and neat as a pin. We were invited up to the house to visit and partake of a homemade sweet.
We had bicycled Gettysburg all day and this spot was a welcome reprieve.
Thank you, Pilgrims!
